They all searched around them, and even the emperor and Xiahou Rui revealed shocked expressions.
In this large palace hall, only Feng Yege and Lou Qingwu had no expressions on their faces.
Feng Yege’s mouth showed a hint of a smile, but his whole body didn’t have any hint of life.
He gave off a surreal feeling.
“You, are you for real? Who is it?” Overcoming his shock, the emperor suddenly sat up.
Lou Qingwu’s eyes carelessly swept through everyone as everyone’s hearts were about to jump out of their chests, fearing that she would speak their name.
But Lou Qingwu made a full circle before falling upon the kneeling midwife’s body, “It’s her.”
“You’re speaking nonsense!”
The midwife was scared silly, “Emperor, please spare my life. This old servant would never do anything to harm the consort!”
As she spoke, she kowtowed as if her life depended on it, about to kowtow out blood from her forehead.
The emperor looked at her with disgust, forcibly pushing down his discomfort, he looked towards Lou Qingwu, “Are you sure it’s her?”
Lou Qingwu didn’t answer but slowly made her way to the front, standing in front of the midwife.
She stared directly at the midwife until she uncomfortably raised her head, clearly frightened as she despairingly called out, “Lou eldest miss, how did this old servant offend your eyes, how could you harm this old servant like this?”
Lou Qingwu only continued to look at her until she felt even more and more uncomfortable, even more and more guilty.
Her head lowered even more and more as her psyche was about to fall apart.
Suddenly, Lou Qingwu spoke, but this time, it was loud and severe, “Where did you discover the voodoo doll?!”
“Ah, bed, underneath the bed!” The midwife was shocked as she answered instinctively.
Hearing her response, Lou Qingwu’s mouth wickedly twitched.
She was satisfied as she turned around, her face quickly recovering her usual calm composure.
“Emperor, subject-girl has finished questioning her.”
“Finished questioning?” The people in the palace had clearly been frightened by her and had only just heard her.
They all froze, what kind of confirmation was this?
They all faced each other, only half understanding.
