Chapter 140 – Was food all you ever think about?! No wonder you are still single! (1)
Lin Yiyi spent all night mulling over everything . She must admit that Ms . Lin Ping’s questions were very on point . If anyone could just come over to have dinner at her home at any given time, what kind of a place would that make her house?
A restaurant?
Not to mention that the one in question was a man that she didn’t even know very well!
She came over to Shengshi Entertainment purposefully today . She wanted to find out her own feelings toward Lu Xun . And that’s when she saw him standing right outside the conference room peeking inside nonstop like a big fool…
The whole scene looked so comical!
It seemed a little bit awkward when they stood there facing each other .
Lin Yiyi had kicked him out of her house just the night before . And then she came over to his workplace today . In the workplace, they would run into each other sooner or later .
Lu Xun was pleasantly surprised when he saw her . Surprised and also somewhat happy . The corners of his mouth pulled upward reflexively .
“Would you like to come into my office real quick?” Lu Xun suggested . Seemingly feeling a little bit awkward, he added, “Executive Assistant Zhou recommended a concealer for me that works quite well . Perhaps you can give it a try . ”
Lin Yiyi, “……”
No, thank you . She didn’t really feel like talking .
But she followed him to his office nonetheless .
Lu Xun, surely, pulled out a Guerlain concealer from his drawer .
He presented the concealer to her excitedly like a kid who was gloating . “This really is quite good . It’s the brand that I use . It can cover up the dark circles and also moisturize your skin . ”
He gestured it first and then, lowering his voice, he asked her cautiously . “Would you like me to apply it on you?”
By now Lin Yiyi had noticed the dark circles on him that even concealers couldn’t cover . She was fairly speechless all of a sudden .
The concealer seemed to be just okay . (Guerlain: Don’t blame that on me!)
Yet, seeing how excited he was to give it a try, she had no heart to turn him down…

She finally nodded slightly .
Flattered, Lu Xun rubbed his hands together and took her over to the couch to be seated in his fumbling effort . Then, he sat down next to her .
Nobody knew who he learned it from, but he even shook the concealer bottle before he opened it up and squeezed some onto the tip of his middle finger .
He looked over at Lin Yiyi again and saw that she had already closed her eyes and lifted her face…
Her pale face just crashed into his eyes unannounced .
He paused a little and scooted over closer to her . He reached his fingers out closer to her and finally reached the triangular area under her eyes . The softness that he felt with his finger almost made his heart leap out of his chest .
Lu Xun had finally noticed that the two of them were way too close in distance with each other .
“What’s the matter?”
Sensing that he stopped all of a sudden, Lin Yiyi’s eyelashes wavered as though she was about to open them up . Her effort was immediately met with a fierce voice, “Keep them closed!”

Then pouted with slight displeasure .
Only Lu Xun knew that his mind was in a big jumble right now .
He uncontrollably looked in different directions repeatedly as he mechanically applied the concealer on her…
Her wavering eyelashes… Her moist and pink lips…
This was the only time that he had to carefully look over this woman inch by inch .
This was the first time it had occurred to Lu Xun that he might like more than just her cooking!
“Lin Yiyi,” said Lu Xun in a deep, soft voice . Sounding almost s*xy .
Lin Yiyi felt a burning sensation on her ear .

Before he could say anything else, Lin Yiyi had already opened her eyes .
“Why did you open up your eyes again?”
Quickly, she closed her eyes again .

Weren’t you already done with what you were doing?
