Chapter 15 – Enhancing the Quality of the Eggs
Regarding Gu Zheng's cooking, Shu Yu and Hu Yueyue understood that his cooking skills were definitely of the professional level. When they were still in school, they joked about how Gu Zheng shouldn't be studying Chinese literature, but instead should go learn about cooking, so another Chinese Michelin Star chef would be born.
Since they knew about that, Shu Yu would definitely agree. If she were to argue with Gu Zheng regarding that, she would feel like she would be wronging him.

Shu Yu questioned with uncertainty. She decorated the shop well, but the prices were in accordance with the salaries of normal people. Her wontons went for 9 RMB per bowl. This was only one variety, she had several other varieties of wanton that she was preparing to release after they gained some more popularity.
Rice noodles, and regular noodles were all 8 RMB. The boiled egg and fried egg were 2 RMB, and all the other drinks were also at normal prices.
The reason why she sold that fried egg for 5 RMB was because the price of the eggs were rather high and the taste was excellent. Even then, for the sales for the 5 RMB egg were significantly worse than the normal sales of the other eggs. In one day, she could only sell around a dozen to her customers.

It was effective in making people feel as if the price was low, and used it to take advantage and bring in more older customers.
The taste was good, and their prices were cheap. She believed that their business would be getting better and better. In the future, she imagined the store would be opening more branches, etc. Testing out the waters, gaining fame, then expanding at an appropriate time.
"Shu Yu, Hu Yueyue, you have to believe me. This is absolutely the value of my fried eggs. While I go back, I will by the eggs. When I come back tomorrow, if the fried egg price is too high and affects your business, I will give you compensation, then won't come back to sell.

"These eggs are sold by my son!" The old woman glanced at the egg in Gu Zheng's, and slowly nodded her head.
"Is your son in?"
He had found the right place. Gu Zheng curiously looked around. He didn't know where their chicken farm was. No chicken will not lay eggs, and second-class eggs wouldn't be too easy to produce.
"We send eggs to go, do you want to buy some eggs?"
The old lady was aged, however her words were very clear, and her spirit was decently strong. She nodded towards Gu Zheng, and walked into a room only to return with a small exquisite box.
"There's only these few left for today, see how many you'd like. If it's not enough, come back tomorrow!"
The box was of decent quality. The material wasn't foam or plastic, but was woven rattan bamboo box . It could be seen the box had seen quite a few years, there were a few places where it was worn somewhat thin.
PLaced neatly within were the second-class eggs Gu Zheng had saw at Shu Yu's shop. Each egg were placed in the indents within the bamboo box, and each egg was extremely clean. There were no traces of chicken feces whatsoever.

"The price of our eggs is 3 RMB for 5. Don't try to haggle, though you should already know about that!"

Three RMB for 5 eggs, 5 RMB for a fried egg, Shu Yu had actually not sold it for too much. For such a fried egg, beside the cost of the ingredients, with the labor costs, less than two percent profit, and the ways of the catering business, the average margin of sale wouldn't allow it to be less than 4 RMB.
With a total of 80 eggs, Gu Zheng took them all away, he even took away the basket. The basket itself had cost 100 RMB.

The sesame oil was an oil, it had key importance regarding taste and other aspects, however, the most important item for food would be the main ingredient. That is, the eggs. That would be what the guests want to grade. Regarding to enhancing food qualities, Gu Zheng's choice were the eggs.
Having selected, he held the eggs. Gu Zheng allowed the spirit device to open the Great Desolate space and he once again appeared under the sky with nine suns.
