Chapter 55: Huo Xiaoxiao
It was late at night. Mu Qing was handling some matters when he suddenly received a call from Xing Jiuan.
“Jiuan?”
“Senior Brother, come and pick me up.”
Mu Qing thought something had happened. His voice sounded anxious. “What’s wrong?”
After he hung up, Ou Qi and Lu Mingxi happened to return. He let the two of them take care of Xiaoguai while he went to pick Xing Jiuan up.
At that moment, Xing Jiuan and Su Yize were at the police station.
The two of them were only here to testify and would soon be released. The two of them sat in a room and ate the things they’d bought.
At this moment, the young lady’s family arrived. It was a man and a woman. Xing Jiuan seemed to be somewhat familiar with that man.
The woman hugged the young lady and cried until her face was covered in tears. The man walked over and thanked Xing Jiuan.
This man was from the Huo family.

This cousin was a very gentle man. His attitude toward her and Huo Chulan was the same. They were not very close, but they were not distant either.
Perhaps because he had lost his beloved daughter, he did not have much enthusiasm for other things or other people.
The Huo family’s eldest uncle and his family were not interested in the company. They liked to teach and educate people. Therefore, they were all professors or teachers.
“Young lady, thank you for saving our child.” Her cousin’s voice was very gentle. He turned and looked at his wife and daughter, who were hugging each other. There was a hint of fear in his eyes.
Xing Jiuan had been eating. She stopped when she saw him coming over.

“Thank you for saving me,” the little girl whispered.

“My name is Xing Jiuan.” She smiled.

“We already ate.”
They could leave now as well. Xing Jiuan and Su Yize had been waiting for Mu Qing to pick them up when the Huo family members came over to thank them.
