Feng Tianlan had just asked Dongfang Chu one question. How was she making things difficult for her?
“You really are a heartless woman. Chu’er was a good friend of yours when you were little. By right you should be calling me aunty. However, not only did you make my Chu’er kneel down without any hesitation, you even said that we are sick…” Lady Dongfang was growing more energetic the more she scolded Feng Tianlan. She described Feng Tianlan as a jealous woman and a sl*t.
“Is Lady Dongfang sick? The Demon Princess Consort only said a few words. How was she making things difficult for Dongfang Chu? Did I forget something?”
“It doesn’t matter what Lady Dongfang had said. She was right about one thing. Shen Qingdai already had Jiang Ying as her fiancé. Yet she still dared to seduce other men. She is committing adultery.”
“How can the Demon King and the Demon Princess Consort’s engagement be considered as committing adultery against Jiang Ying?”
“Are you speaking for Shen Qingdai because you are also immoral and want her to serve you as well?”
Feng Tianlan raised her head and looked at the passers-by who were discussing the scene amongst themselves. She then looked towards Lady Dongfang, who couldn’t stop talking, and Dongfang Chu, who only knew how to cry. She just leaned against the door and looked down at them. “I didn’t say anything, yet you’re saying that I am making things difficult for you. You don’t even have evidence to support your accusation. It’s really rare for you to be scolding me so enthusiastically,” Feng Tianlan said.
“Shen Qingdai, have some shame. A good woman doesn’t serve two husbands. You should leave the Demon King since you already have Jiang Ying instead of keeping both men to yourself.” Lady Dongfang raised her head and looked at Feng Tianlan from head to toe in disdain. “A demon lady like you who came out of nowhere is not good enough for the Demon King.”
“So?” Feng Tianlan replied faintly. Explaining anything to a person like this was unnecessary.
Dongfang Chu miserably wiped away her tears. “The Demon King asked me to look for you. He allowed me to enter this manor,” she said.
“Huh?” Feng Tianlan raised her eyebrows slightly. “What do you mean?”
“What the Demon King was trying to say is that you, Shen Qingdai, lack virtue. You are being dumped. Our Chu’er is the true Princess Consort whom the Demon King prefers. Get as far away from him as you can.” Lady Dongfang rested her hands on her hips, giving off the vibe of a shrew shouting in public to everyone watching.
Dongfang Chu tugged the corner of her shirt immediately as she helped her plea, saying, “Mother, stop spouting nonsense. You are making things difficult for elder sister.”
Feng Tianlan raised her eyebrows slightly while watching their superb acting. She seemed to have understood what they meant by now.
“I am not spouting nonsense.” Lady Dongfang slapped Dongfang Chu’s hand away. She then looked at Feng Tianlan in disdain. “The Demon King had issued a divorce letter to dump you. He also wanted to marry our Chu’er. If you cut off your ties with the Jiang Family, our Chu’er would be generous enough to let you stay by the Demon King’s side and become his dowry.”
“Divorce letter?” Feng Tianlan stretched out her hand and stopped her bodyguard, who wanted to step forward.
She had only come out of her room a while ago, yet so many incidents had already happened. Could this be Shen Yunya’s arrangement? If that was the case, she assumed that Shen Yunya must have planned everything while Feng Tianlan had been shutting herself in.
“Chu’er, bring me the divorce letter,” Lady Dongfang said.
Dongfang Chu shook her head. “I can’t make things difficult for elder sister. I don’t really have any requests. I am contented just by staying at the Demon King’s side.”
“Quick. You are the eldest daughter of the Dongfang Family, how can you aggrieve yourself?” Lady Dongfang urged.
Feng Tianlan rolled her eyes. They really could act well. They were trying to instigate her relationship with Mobai. They even made up a divorce letter. Hilarious.
After repeatedly being urged by Lady Dongfang, Dongfang Chu glanced at Feng Tianlan with guilt, then took out an envelope. The words ‘Divorce Letter’ were written on the envelope.
