Lin Suyin was seated beside the bed and slowly creeping toward Si Mobai. When Luo Yunzhu shouted, she was so alarmed that she immediately straightened up and looked at them with panic. “Miss Feng, I’m just trying to take care of His Highness.”
Luo Yunzhu was furious the moment she heard this and glared at her with fire spewing from her eyes. “You’re taking such good care of him that you’ve ended up in his bed. Lin Suyin, normally you have quite a bit of self-restraint. I didn’t think that you would be the type to take advantage of someone unable to defend himself. Are you picking a time like this to make my Tianlan underestimate His Highness so that you can drive a wedge between the two of them to your advantage?”
“I did not. I came here to see Miss Feng. I saw that His Highness wasn’t awake, but he wanted water, so I…” Lin Suyin couldn’t hide her shame. Her elegant face was now all red.
Luo Yunzhu merely snorted when she heard Lin Suyin’s explanation. She looked at Lin Suyin’s outfit and realized that she was wearing Tianlan’s clothes. She became even more disdainful as she demanded, “Then why did you put on Tianlan’s clothes? Those are the clothes that she changed out of last night. They haven’t even been washed yet. Is it because Tianlan’s smell is still on them, so it makes it easier for you to get close to the Wargod?”
Feng Tianlan bent her head and scanned the floor. She noticed a small puddle of blood. Lin Suyin’s face was all red, but her lips were ashen as if she had just been slapped.
Lin Suyin felt that Luo Yunzhu’s words made her face burn like it was on fire. This was so humiliating.
She had come to visit Feng Tianlan and Wargod, but Feng Tianlan hadn’t been around. She’d gone in anyway and found Wargod unconscious on the bed. That beautiful, peaceful face of his made her heart tremble. She had never been able to go near to him before, and she had only one thought when she saw him: to get closer to him, even if it was only by a single footstep.
She had taken that one step but wasn’t content with it afterward and wanted to touch his face. He’d never gone near women before, but now that he could, she wanted to try and interact more closely with him.
She’d been filled with great excitement and anticipation as she’d thought about how they could interact so intimately. But the moment she’d stretched her hand out, a shot of Spiritual force from the Wargod had sent her flying.
Never mind touching his face – she couldn’t even reach the corner of his clothes!
At that moment, she understood. It wasn’t that the Wargod could go near women all of a sudden now. He could just go near one woman, Feng Tianlan. Even when he was unconscious, things didn’t change!
Embarrassment, jealousy, anger, indignation, and all sorts of other emotions overwhelmed Lin Suyin.
So, when she’d noticed Feng Tianlan’s clothes lying to the side, she’d put them on. This time, she’d wanted to get even closer and not just stretch out and touch his face. She’d wanted to kiss him. This was the man she’d cared for since she was young. The man that she had liked for more than ten years!
“Are you embarrassed because I hit the nail on the head?” Luo Yunzhu scoffed and went up to pull Tianlan’s clothes off Lin Suyin.
“Yunzhu.” Feng Tianlan shook her head at Luo Yunzhu.
Luo Yunzhu hesitated for a moment, but since Lin Suyin had saved her hand from the Man-Eating Flower, she sneered but didn’t do anything.
Feng Tianlan pulled out a blade of Spiritual Grass from the Pill Scroll Realm and held it out to Lin Suyin. “Miss Lin, you bravely stayed behind to save us, and now, we will return the favor. This Spiritual Grass is for you, so we’re even now. We don’t owe each other anything. His Highness will remain here, and we don’t have to trouble Miss Lin.”
Lin Suyin looked at the gentle blade of Spiritual Grass, then back at Feng Tianlan. Feng Tianlan was obviously telling her to get out!
This was the Wargod’s room, so what right did she have to decide on his behalf?
“Miss Feng, both of us like the Wargod, so we should compete for him fairly. If you can take care of the Wargod, then so can I. You have no right to stand in his room and order me around as if you own the place.”
