Everyone fell left and right like dominoes as the earth trembled beneath them.
“Did we alarm the demonic beast guarding the Spiritual Grass?”
“How humongous must the demonic beast be for it to shake the ground like that?”
“Do you think it’s a spiritual or divine beast?” asked someone whose eyes glowed green with greed.
In Feng Tianlan’s hands lay the Spiritual Grass, emitting a silent blue light. She perked up her ears to pick up any disturbances in her surroundings, then paled instantly. She threw the Spiritual Grass into the Pill Scroll Realm and grabbed Chuling’s and Luo Yunzhu by their hands, saying, “We need to leave right now! Azurite, back into the scroll. Zhang Tiancheng, keep up.”
“Tianlan, what’s happened?” Luo Yunzhu and Chuling both stumbled forward from the force, almost tripping over themselves. However, they quickly steadied themselves and caught up with Feng Tianlan.
“It’s the First Tide of Beasts.”
“The Demonic Beasts Riot.”
Feng Tianlan and Lin Suyin said in unison.
After they finished speaking, the crowd, which, moments ago, had still been somewhat subdued, erupted into panic within seconds. The First Tide of Beasts meant that millions of beasts would soon be converging on a single destination from all directions. Even if they weren’t aggressive, they could all still die in the wild stampede.
The odds of surviving such a disaster were hopeless, even if they were able to mobilize the entire Blue Flame Academy.
Someone behind Feng Tianlan berated her loudly, “Feng Tianlan, what kind of Spiritual Grass did you pick? We have alarmed millions of demonic beasts. If we die here, I will drag you to hell with me!”
“That’s right! Feng Tianlan, aren’t you supposed to be the greatest? If you can’t handle this demonic beast riot, we will all go to hell together.”

“Your life is more important.” Feng Tianlan cut off a furious Luo Yunzhu, who was ready to fight them. She could sense the staggering number of demonic beasts coming their way. They were sealing off their escape routes on all sides. The only thing they could do was run even faster. They might still stand a chance of finding the weakest link and breaking through.
Otherwise, they would be doomed to die here!
The howling winds scraped their ears like blades as the people on either side of them blurred by at high speed. Some moved so fast that they were almost flying. They all wished that they could teleport.

The stomping sounds closed in like an army of a million soldiers charging at their enemies. The rising tide of beasts shook the mountains even more than ever.
Chuling and Luo Yunzhu could hardly register the speeds at which they were moving. All they could feel was their dizzying brains. But they dared not become a burden to Feng Tianlan at this crucial time. Therefore, they forced themselves to their limits and ran for their lives.
All of a sudden, the trio halted from their immense speed, leaving long, deep skid marks. It went on several yards before they finally caught themselves.
“Tianlan.”
“Miss.”
Zhang Tiancheng, who was close behind, spread his arms in front of them in a protective manner. He shielded them with his body as he glared at the ferocious demonic beast in front of them and said, “You guys leave first. Boss, I’ll cover you. Leave the rear to me.”
“It’s too late.” Feng Tianlan looked up and took in the endless stretch of demonic beasts. The beasts were not just in front of them, but behind as well. Even the skies were filled with circling winged creatures, all of which were slowly gathering in their direction.
They managed to run down the mountain, yet countless demonic beasts surrounded them. The demonic beasts had created a heavenly net that trapped them all.
Luo Yunzhu and the others took a look at their surroundings and inhaled sharply. Demonic beasts from stages 1 to 5 were lapping them up with their glowing eyes. They snarled like hunters encircling their prey.
Growl!
A million beasts howled ferociously at the sky and flashed their sharp claws. They launched at their prey, determined to tear them into pieces. They had no particular targets in mind…just humans!
