Chapter 44 . 3: Who Dares to Snatch MY Disciple?
Duanmu Xi looked up and saw the few Elders that she had met earlier today, that burly man, that lady dressed in black and that white robed old man . Other than these few whom she had met before, she had not met any of the other Elders present .
When Nalan Xi saw that none of them had spoken up, he turned to the lady and said, “Elder Mei, please choose first . ”
When she heard his words, her cold gaze swept through the crowd and finally landed on Duanmu Xi and pointed her out .
“I choose her . ”
When everyone saw who she pointed out to, they all started discussing in hushed tones .
“Isn’t Elder Mei in charge of testing spirit power? Why did she choose someone brought by Elder Yuan?”
“That girl should be from the Alchemy…”
Duanmu Xi looked up in surprise and looked at that lady dressed in black seriously for a moment before she lowered her head and stood still, it was as if the person that everyone was discussing about was not her .
Duanmu Xi did not speak and that grey robed old man became anxious . He did not want to be so easily robbed off a disciple that he had his eye out for .
The grey robed old man took a step forward and bowed towards Nalan Xi .
“She came to participate in the Alchemist test, I would like to accept her as my direct disciple . ” Upon hearing the grey robed old man’s words, it started off another bout of discussion among the people .
“Even Elder Yuan wants to accept a disciple?”
“Even Elder Yuan wants to accept her as his direct disciple, is there something special about her?”
Nalan Xi finally took interest and looked at Duanmu Xi carefully but she had her head lowered and he could not see anything . He turned and looked at the lady dressed in black and said, “Elder Mei, why don’t…”
“There is no conflict in learning spirit power and learning alchemy . ”

Before Nalan Xi had finished his words, that lady dressed in black coldly interrupted him .
With her words, it rendered him speechless . It was true that in learning alchemy, the prerequisites would be wood and fire attributes and since there is wood and fire attributes, then it would be possible to study spirit power .

He could not see anything else and he blinked towards that burly man, trying to ask him what had happened .
That burly man was also stumped by the situation and after he saw Nalan Xi’s enquiry, he shook his head frantically in a daze .
He too wanted to know what was up with all of them today? There were so many who had passed the tests, why did they have to fight for the very same person?
A few months later, the body man knocked his head onto the wall, feeling deep regret for not participating in this fiasco as well .
The grey robed elder was so angry that his face was flushed red .
