Chapter 5: Bastard! (1)
The masked assassin obviously used a voice changing technique. His voice sounded somewhat distorted, but it remained cold and domineering like before.
"Where's the medicine?" He asked.
"Here…" She fumbled. "It's here!"
Gu Feiyan unconsciously took two steps back and suddenly pulled out a small cauldron. The cauldron had three legs, coated with the color of bronze, and with an auspicious cloud-like engravings on its body. It was mysterious and simple, but it was only about three inches tall—very small. If one did not know it, they'd mistake the cauldron for a pendant.
The masked assassin frowned as he watched.
Suddenly, the small medicine cauldron began emitting a green smoke and gradually turned to a strange fragrance.
He immediately held his breath and retreated back, but it was too late.
He began feeling dizzy.
Gu Feiyan glanced at him disdainfully, thinking, "This lady is not a good-for-nothing servant like the original owner of this body! I'm not that easy to bully!"
She turned around and escaped, but the masked assassin, ignoring the scent, suddenly closed in the gap and strangled her from behind and held her against the trunk of a tree.
When Gu Feiyan struggled, the masked assassin threw away his longsword and tied Gu Feiyan's hands behind her back. He then threw the small medicine cauldron into the far distance.
Gu Feiyan couldn't move. She was extremely shocked in her heart. Wasn't this guy's tolerance to poison a little too strong? If it was an ordinary person, even if they didn't faint, they'd have long since lost all their strength after inhaling so much of the Life Reaching Incense!
"Hand over the antidote and tell me where General Chen's medicine is! You won't get a second chance again!"
The masked man's voice was frighteningly cold. He used his free hand to grab hold of Gu Feiyan's neck. The grip of his strength was innately strong that if she wasn't careful, she could lose her life on the spot.
Gu Feiyan had difficult breathing; her face was flushed and she felt extremely uncomfortable.

She was no longer the weak and foolish original owner.
They want to silence her?

This was the rule of life and she'd live it through her own terms. She'd rather gamble to see if her medicinal properties were faster, or if the man's skill were faster.
It was not good to threaten Gu Feiyan, and it was even worse to threaten the masked assassin. The masked assassin gritted his teeth and decided not to waste any more time. He immediately increased the grip of his strength to kill Gu Feiyan.
Gu Feiyan's head tilted upwards.
Her mouth opened in pain.
Her lips were purple, trembling even as her life hung by a thread.
But in that crucial moment, the masked assassin's hand suddenly relaxed.
Without a doubt, the poison had struck!
This was the moment Gu Feiyan waited for!
She immediately struggled free from his hold.
The man wanted to capture her, but he was unable to do so. After the entanglement, Gu Feiyan's back suddenly bumped against the tree, causing the man to lose his balance and fall to the ground. He quickly grabbed onto Gu Feiyan's clothes, but she was dragged down in the end.
Bam!
Gu Feiyan landed on the man's body. Her back felt like it'd split open from the pain.
She thought to herself, "Isn't this guy's body way too sturdy?!"
The man frowned, feeling as if his entire chest was about to split open. He thought to himself out loud, "Isn't this woman a bit too thin? Her entire body is filled with nothing but bones!"
"Bastard!"
