This is one of the only few chapters in the entire book that is really about Shuo Feng. It is very beautifully written and it shows the friendship between him and Qian Gu. It is also one of the last few times Qian Gu gets to enjoy herself as a child in this entire book, which makes it all the more precious. I really enjoyed this magical chapter which gets a bit kinky at the end 😄 Enjoy!
Shuo Feng floated in mid air, the tips of his feet stepping on a transparent flower lantern. His hair which had been let down causally flew in the night sky, slightly messy. A black cloth covered his face, revealing only too enigmatic eyes.
He silently looked down at Hua Qian Gu from high. He was not good at speaking and what he said usually wasn’t nice. Hence, over these years, he had long gotten used to looking at her silently. Even when everyone was drinking together he would sit quietly in a corner, not too near and not too far. That was enough.
However, when she returned to Chang Liu this time, she seemed slightly different from previously, she always avoided everyone and often spaced out as though something was constantly weighing on her mind.
He did not understand. There were too many things in this world that he did not understand. hence, he always tried his best to observe. In the past, he felt that Hua Qian G was like a crystal, so simple that he could see through her with one glance. However, this crystal was now covered by a thin fog of depression, making it difficult for him to see anything.
“Tang Bao, you want to play with me? Let’s go to the bottom of the see to watch a performance?” Luo Shi Yi smiled innocently.
“Ah….” Tang Bao turned back to looked at the pale Hua Qian Gu. It wanted to accompany Gu Tou more. She must be tired out after all these days.
Hua Qian Gu wanted to say something but swallowed it back before smiling and waving to Tang Bao: “Go. Have fun. I am a bit tired, I will go back first. ”
As she watched Luo Shi Yi’s departing figure, Hua Qia Gu knitted her eyebrows together slightly. Even though he was refined and gentle, Luo Shi Yi was like a well polished jade, steady and smooth. It was different from the slight unyielding proudness of Yun Ying, Dong Fang’s slyness or Sheng Xiao Mo’s laziness. He was always very careful to hide his abilities and personality. She did not know whether he was afraid of hurting himself or he just wanted to protect himself. Other than being completely different in front of Tang Bao, in front of everyone else he was matured and introverted. He was someone to be relied on and everything he did was always so perfect that one could not nitpick. Even Shi Zun trusted him to handle all the matters on Chang Liu Mountain. For Ni Man Tian to like such a man, it was something very natural. Yet Hua Qian Gu felt slightly sad.
Qing Shui dragged her around and kept asking questions about Xuan Yuan Lang. Hua Qian Gu could not answer many owing to the short time spent with him. She envied how Qing Shui could smile so happily when talking about him, unlike herself who had to bury all her feelings.
Finally, she took her leave as the happy laughter around her was making her dizzy. She flew to the sea outside Chang Liu Mountain. She felt her chest ache and her body weak. The lost of blood had drained her internal energy. The heartache she felt whenever Shi Fu dranked her blood solidified her determination to gather the instruments.
The giant round moon was reflected on the surface of the sea. It looked as though she was standing in the middle of the moon’s shadow, bathing in the moonlight.
Suddenly, a flower lantern floated down like a leaf. Hua Qian Gu reached out to catch it, and saw Shuo Feng. She felt a bit embarrassed that she had accidentally revealed her grief and weakness to him and quickly asked: “Why are you here? Didn’t you go out to play with the rest? Qing Shui said a new disciple confessed to you. Chang Liu Mountain rarely has such a festival, why don’t you accompany her?”
Shuo Feng casually lay down on the surface of the sea, the surface of the seas rippled and shimmered, yet his clothes remained dry.
“Why?”
Hua Qian Gu smiled weakly. She did not have the strength to lie down like him. She could only struggle to stand on the surface without sinking.
“I thought you did not reject her? The entire Chang Liu Mountain knows she is your girlfriend? Qing Shui keeps telling me how gentle and pretty she is.”
Shuo Feng looked at the moon nonchalantly: “I don’t even remember her name.”
Hua Qian Gu was confused: “Don’t you like her?”
Shuo Feng looked at her strangely: “I don’t even know what liking someone is.”
Hua Qian Gu was helpless and could only nod: “Its best if you never know.”
Shuo Feng saw that she was becoming more lively and took out a round, glowing object, the shape of Ye Ming Zhu (Luminous Night Pearl). Only was just that there was two extra transparent fins at the bottom, its large black eyes spinning.
“Gun Gun Yu! (Gun translates into roll and Yu translates into fish, so it means rolly fish literally)” Hua Qian Gu ran towards it excitedly and poked at the round and bouncy fish head. Gun Gun Yu were small demon sprites like Tang Bao and not fish. However, they usually lived on the surface of th water and could glide freely on the water surface, rolling on the water surface like a ball. When they were hungry they would sink into the sea to feast on small fishes and shrimp.
Shuo Feng had cast a small spell on it so it could not sink to the bottom. Hence it bounced on the surface of the sea like a ball, bouncing higher and higher.
The moment Shuo Feng released it, the Gun Gun Yu glided forward on the water surface, its speed unimaginable. A crooked silver line appeared on the sea’s surface.
“Why did you take it out?” During the festival, there was often games where they caught Gun Gun Yu. Sometimes, the ai was to catch the most, while in others everyone competed for one.
The Gun Gun Yu was very smart and fast, furthermore it was very slippery. Hence it was extremely hard to catch it without using any powers.
Shuo Feng looked at her and said: “Compete with me?”
Hua Qian Gu rolled up her sleeves. They had never competed before, so let them compete to see who can catch the Gun Gun Yu! As he was talking, she had already glided far out on the sea surface’s breaking the reflection of the round moon on the water’s surface. When Shuo Feng saw that she was a bit more energetic, his eyes gleamed with slight happiness and followed behind, fighting with her for the fish. They happily chased and shoved each other around.
At this moment, Bai Zi Hua was standing high up on the platform of Jue Qing Dian looking down at the world below. The mountain he had protected for more than a century was now brightly lit with tens of thousands of lanterns and filled with laughter and life. Yet, he was wilting like those peach blossom trees in Jue Qing Dian.
All these days, when he did not have any poison attacks, he would be relentlessly writing his will. He knew his importance to the entire immortal realm and knew that he still had much to do.
When his Shi Fu passed the position to him, he had hoped that he would protect Chang Liu and the Immortal realm, but he had let his Shi Fu down. He could not save himself and relied on Xiao Gu’s blood just to extend his life. He had always thought that he had no emotional attachments o this world, however, it was only at this time, did he realise that he worried for the people, the mountain and even more for his only disciple.
He could easily see Hua Qian Gu who was chaisng the Gun Gun Yu with Shuo Feng in a distance. She glided freely on the surface of the sea like a bird in the sky.
How long has it been since he saw her smile so happily?
A gust of cold wind blew by and Bai Zi Hua felt a bit cold. He knew that he was reaching his limit, yet he wanted just a bit more time…. To help Chang Liu and help the immortal realm… And teach this child…
Bai ZI Hua gave a light sigh. his thin lips were bloodless and pale. His lashes were wet with drew, glistening in the moonlight, making his pale and ice sculpture like face seem even more ethereal. His white robe faded into the mist, making it even harder to hold on to him. From far, he was even more spectacular than the giant moon that hung in the high.
He suddenly felt unwell, and he shook his head and headed back to his room.
At this moment, Hua Qian Gu had finally managed to catch the Gun Gun Yu first. She laughed happily between pants: “I have finally caught it……”
“Qian Gu!” Shuo Feng saw her smile weakly fade and her eyes shut as she fell into the water with a plop.
He flew forward and lifted her out of the water with one hand. She was drenched to the bone.
Shuo Feng was scared silly and kept trying to wake up her. It was only when he transferred his internal energy to her, did he realise she was so weak.
Hua Qian Gu blearily opened her eyes and smile: “Look at me, how did I accidentally fall asleep. I am so sorry. Can you send me back to Jue Qing Dian?”

Shuo Feng carried her back to Jue Qing Dian and top speed. When Bai Zi Hua sensed his presence, he came out to see Shuo Feng carrying a drenched Hua Qian Gu. Bai ZI Hua did not dare to touch her because he was having a poison attack and asked Shuo Feng to carry her back. Shuo Feng questioned BZH on why she was so weak. BZH did not answer. However before Shuo Feng left, he saw the bite marks on her neck. He suspected BZH but did not say anything and quickly left.

Bai ZI Hua walked in front of Hua Qian Gu. His heart involuntarily ached when he saw that her usually round child like face was even paler than his own.
He placed his hand on his shoulder and dried her drenched clothes in and instant. At the same time he transferred a fair amount of internal energy to her.
Hua Qian Gu blearily opened her eyes, her face apologetic: “How did I run into Shi Fu’s room. Sorry. I will go back now.”
She struggled to get off the bed and stumbled forward two steps. Because she was still very dizzy, she fell into Bai ZI Hua’s bosom and he hurried forward to help her up.
As teacher and disciple, they had previously shared many such hugs. But it was never so tight and so strange. Hua Qian Gu felt as though her entire body was on fire while Bai ZI Hua was still cold as ice.
Hua Qian Gu felt her entire cool down comfortably. She blearily looked at the object before her and did not want to move anymore.
Bai Zi Hua could smell the fragrance of flowers and blood and a hundred other scents. His head buzzed and he could not suppress his poison ay longer. His teeth easily bit through her neck and warm blood rushed through the gaps in this teeth, dripping on Hua Qian Gu’s neck and air.
Hua Qian Gu gave a soft hmph but still did not move and instead hugged him even tighter, not willing to let go.
Yet, this time, Bai Zi Hua was more forceful than ever before. His hands grabbed her so tight that she could barely breathe.
“Shi……” Hua Qian Gu became slightly more alert and tried to break free. However Bai Zi Hua just bit down harder. The feeling of blood leaving her body was both enjoyable and painful and the same time and she but down hard on her lip to bear with it.
At this moment, a paper bird flew in from the window and circled the two them. However, it was completely ignored and landed on the floor beside them.
Hua Qian Gu knew that if this went on she would be sucked dry by her Shi Fu. Her Shi Fu was still poisoned, so how could she die like this. Hence, she gathered all her strength and with a flash of silver light, broke free of Bai Zi Hua.
Bai Zi Hua listlessly looked up. His lips were covered in blood and some had slid down the corners of his mouth, dripping on his snow white robe.
“Shi Fu……” Hua Qian Gu looked at his listless expression and a terror struck her.
Bai Zi Hua looked at her lips which she had bitten so hard it was covered in blood. It was so red and alluring that he could not resist bending over and kissing her.
