Chapter 77
The empress arrived at Xihe Palace just in time to see a somewhat familiar palace maid carrying a basin of bloody water out .
“This slave pays respects to Your Majesty the empress,” said Tingzhu, stopping in her tracks and curtsying the moment she had caught sight of the other party . Then she moved the basin away from the empress so that the coppery scent of blood wouldn’t drift her way .
