Lu Li came to his senses and knelt with Jiang Qiling. This was the chosen warrior of the humans. Nobody had any doubt of his abilities. Even Ye Cha agreed that he was a rarely seen warrior.
A hero like this was worthy of people's admiration and veneration.
But Lu Li felt his blood boiling heavier and the silver dragon moving. He felt uncomfortable. An idea appeared in his head, seemingly to tell him in a soundless way—move away from the statue.
While kowtowing, Lu Li moved backwards a little bit. He decided that he would leave right away after three kowtows and never to get close to the statue.

Three kowtows after, the book in the statute lit up. It dazzled, like a pearl against the night sky.

The entire plaza was thrown into a huge sensation. Many strands of strong psychic power scanned over. Following that, many powerful warriors flew over.

Jiang Qiling raised her head and saw the glowing book and many powerful warriors flying their way. Her cheeks became pale.
She didn't understand. She was just worshiping and she had done this once before. How come this statue was having such a big reaction now? Did the two offend the Emperor of Heaven Reverse? Was he going to punish them?
"Let's go, Lu Li!"
Jiang Qiling was panicking. She wanted to get up quietly and leave with Lu Li in the chaotic crowds. Right at that moment, a loud roar sounded in their ears, "Don't move!"
They knew they could not run away or move now with so many strong psychic powers on them. They remained on their knees.
Lu Li was even more scared than Jiang Qiling since he understood that the glowing book had everything to do with him. Otherwise, his blood wouldn't be boiling and the dragon pattern in his Soul Pond wouldn't move.
He didn't know what the glowing book on the statue of the Emperor of Heaven Reverse meant. He knew for sure, though, that something big was going to happen with all those powerful warriors flying over, among which, there was quite a number of Earth Immortal Realm warriors. He and Jiang Qiling might be killed here if this unknown scene meant bad.
Many powerful warriors of the Demon-slaying Hall had their souls reconstructed. In their hearts, there was only the greater interest of the humans. No trace of personal attachment was left in them. Even if Lu Li's great grandpa was there, the man would kill his great grandson if Lu Li had really breached the rule of the Demon-slaying Hall.

The book was glowing brighter. A ray of light shot out from the book into the sky. As it was approaching dusk, the light stood up.

The book flew off from the statue. It spun in the sky and the ray of light span as well. The ray of light kept moving down, clearly wanting to cover up Lu Li and Jiang Qiling.

In the end, the ray of light chose Lu Li.

Jiang Qiling didn't mind Little White because she knew it was Lu Li's pet. She was nervous. She tried to stand up to dodge the light.
"Ling-er, don't move! This is divine light. This is good. Don't move!"
A sound came up in her mind. She forced a smile. Her grandpa saw through her mask after all.
Soon, the book began to glow again. Then a miraculous thing happened. Some golden words flew out from inside the book and then merged into Jiang Qiling's body.
"Divine force!"
Many warriors were cheered up by the scene. An old man said the two words of "divine force". Then he was so excited that he was trembling.
Little White was still on Jiang Qiling's shoulder. Inevitably, some golden words got into it as well. It looks so comfortable and happy that it was like Little White had just eaten the most delicious food.
Jiang Qiling was trembling as well. Every time a golden word merged into her body, she would tremble.
She closed her eyes. A holy light enveloped her. She was like a fairy coming down from heaven. Her holy glow made everyone else feel the urge to admire and worship her.

Lu Li was standing behind Jiang Qiling, even afraid to breathe. He didn't understand why the ray of light moved from him to her.

Almost at that exact moment, five elders appeared next to Lu Li and Jiang Qiling. One of them waves his hand and the space around Lu Li and Jiang Qiling trembled. Then Lu Li saw a glare. The next thing he knew, the sight changed and he found himself in a hall.

Little White rushed into Lu Li's sleeve right away. Jiang Qiling opened her eyes. She and Lu Li were still on their knees. They took a glance and noticed five men standing in the hall and they were all looking at Jiang Qiling ardently.
"Grandpa~"
Jiang Qiling stood up and took off the mask, revealing her beautiful face. Lu Li stood up as well but he moved behind her, observing calmly.
Jiang Qiling's grandpa didn't seem to be very advanced in ages. He was more like a forty or fifty-year-old man full of vigor. He resembled Jiang Wuwo's looks. He pointed to other elder warriors in excitement and said, "Ling-er, say hi to Law Enforcement Patriarch and the other four patriarchs."
"Law Enforcement Patriarch?"
Lu Li was shocked and then turned over to look at the one standing in the middle. Several looks later, Lu Li noticed something similar in Law Enforcement Patriarch with Lu Zhengtan and Lu Renhuang. The only difference was that Law Enforcement Patriarch appeared to be older.
