Bai Qiuxue’s leg was still entangled by the black vines. Her spirit and mind were not in good state. If she was attacked by the snake of fire, she would be seriously burnt, if not die.
Lu Li said to himself that the situation did not look good. In a split of a second, he had regained his senses. Little White was not by his side now. He was entangled by the black vines so he could not go over to deliver his help. He had to throw his halberd forcefully.

His throw was accurate so the halberd reached Bai Qiuxue’s side in time. The snake of fire hit the halberd and Bai Qiuxue was saved.

Yu Lingxu’s ferocious face turned cold. His red eyes glanced over to Lu Li, becoming even more ferocious when he saw Lu Li. The mark on his neck glowed and a ball of flames flew out toward Lu Li forcefully.
At the spiral mountain road, he had intended to kill Lu Li. How could he not be angry when at this hour Lu Li was still making trouble?
Lu Li’s entire body was entangled by the black vines; therefore, he could not move. He had to watch the ball of flames coming his way helplessly. His body was caught on fire and his skins were burnt.

Lu Li cried out in pain. The black vines were burnt off. He rolled around on the ground. Even though the flames were put out, most of his skin were still burnt. He was in so much pain that he was trembling. Being so badly wounded, he couldn’t use his hands or his legs.
"Swish!"
A white ray of light shot his way. Bai Qiuxue had freed herself from the shackles of the black vines. She took out a healing pellet and fed it to Lu Li at once. Then she looked at Yu Lingxu in a fit of wrath and said, "Yu Lingxu, how can you be so cruel?"
Yu Lingxu snorted and said, "Everyone wants the hidden treasures of the Dragon King. I think it’ll be better if I make a move first before I am injured by you. As long as your life is not endangered, Bai Leng won’t say a thing, right?"

Lu Li was in so much pain that he had got goose bumps. The fall to the ground made him gasp out of suffering. Bai Qiuxue landed on his body, motionlessly. Clearly, she had blacked out. He complained about the suffering secretly. Perhaps they might die here today. Yu Lingxu would not let him go.
