‘I was brought into a backyard of a building somewhere by teleportation magic.'
'In spite of the sudden appearance, there is an old man who is watering a small field in the backyard, and an elderly woman who is laughing cheerfully from the inside of the house, and I was surprised when I heard her say, "Kieran is back." It seems like the old lady is used to his appearance.'
"Oh. It’s been a while."
Kieran spoke to an elderly woman and a man chatting in the waiting room.
“Oh, Kieran. He must be in a good mood today.”
"Right, are you both waiting for treatment?"
“That’s right. This young man with you must be having his first treatment."
“Oh?”
Due to the anxious voice of the old lady, Kieran peered over with his violet eyes.
"The treatment here is quite good."
“I sense that something will happen from my intuition. We’ll wait.”
Nodding at the words of the *grandfather, Kieran stands in front of the door that seems to lead to the treatment room.
*I’m pretty sure they’re not Kieran’s or Nikola’s actual grandparents. They could just be addressed that way because of their age but I could be wrong so until the author directly states they’re blood related, I’m just going to assume they’re not.
Finally, it seemed that the grandfather noticed Aldo’s presence who was amazed at the exchange.
“Hmm? Who is this?”
“Oh. He’s with me. An acquaintance at work.”
“Hey, thank you for taking care of *Ki-chan.”
*As it turns out, Ki-chan is Kieran. I thought it was Nikola.
The grandmother bowed her head, and Aldo bowed down to her jerkily in return.
“Ah……No……Kieran’s bodily condition is excellent and he has no injuries.”
‘The words that I was supposed to say were blocked by the smiling face of the grandfather and a grandmother who seemed to be pleased.’
“Ki-chan is like us. He’s a regular here.”
“Health is the most important. Grandma and Grandpa can live longer.”
The smiling face of Kieran has never been seen in the Royal Palace.
―- Is it because of the air in this clinic?
‘I breathed in deeply. Somehow, the scent is refreshing. The light from the window is not too strong, not too weak, and not too bright. The room is warm and comfortable. I feel relieved, and the breath that I was holding in came out.’
‘―- There’s a place like this. I sat down on a chair that I know is clean and well-used, and I decided to wait for Kieran.’
‘I heard a desperate voice from the treatment room. Kieran opens the door of the treatment room and yells, and after a little bit of hustling, a man jumps out the window in an attempt to escape.'
'I think that I misunderstood the treatment clinic as a massage shop, and now I feel uncomfortable. If one is not qualified for proper manipulative surgery, they cannot set up a clinic. I was going to deny the offer of a massage shop, as I'm not interested in seeking sexual services.'
The manipulative surgeon who was brought over was a young man who was said to be the owner of this clinic.
'Soft brown hair, pale green eyes with a gentle color, also soft features. I thought that his appearance is warm and it's good for healing people.'
"Nice to meet you."
The voice that called out sounded gentle. It was strange that the atmosphere, the voice, and everything about this man is so calming.
"He’s a healer, Aldo Gracia. I’m sorry for the sudden intrusion, but I’m counting on you."
‘Because my treatment would be troublesome I feel sorry towards Nikola and bowed to him.While introducing ourselves, Kieran seems to have not told Nikola my story in advance. The chiropractors who work at the Royal Palace said, ” I can’t heal you at all!" It's a bit of a pity to have the treatment with no prior information.'
“I knew Kieran would bring over someone important, but I didn't know it would be Mr. Aldo."
Nikola looked at Keiran and Aldo alternately and seems to be embarrassed somehow. Aldo was a little confused as the stare gave off a warm look.
"Nikola? Stop that kind of misunderstanding! I'm just helping him! The day before yesterday was the first time that I properly talked to him!"
“His blonde hair is shining brightly like the sun. It’s like Mr. Aldo is the day and Kieran’s the night, it's like a pair."
"Nikola, listen to me. Come back! This isn't what you think!"
'In the Royal Palace, Kieran always has a cool face or a grimace, but in this place he's panicking and acting flustered. I can see how this place makes Kieran feel more comfortable.' As Kieran desperately complained about Nikola not believing him, and how it was impossible to have any kind of relationship at all, Aldo did not know how to come in between, and he was left staring at the exchange of Nikola and Kieran.
"Nikola, you’re just confused."
"Mr. Aldo is a healer, I admire you."
"Oh, really?"
The joyous voice of the old man and the old woman heard from the waiting room sounded out.
―- Longing. Although it was quite embarrassing to admit, Aldo was proud to see the admiration from the young man with the gentle air around him.
'―- Oh, how come my chest feels warm?'
Aldo smiled and redirected his attention to the exchange of the two in front of him.
“I understand. Sorry, I was a little upset. You got acquainted with Mr. Aldo for the treatment?"
"I’m not taking the treatment this time. Nikola’s a good manipulative surgeon so I'm sure he'll be able to find a cure."
Kieran opened his mouth and said to Nikola, “Your treatment is amazing.” Nikola gently smiled and nodded, "Thank you”.
"I promised to listen to you if I could get to know the healer."
Nikola showed a faint smile towards Aldo.
"I see. Is that it?"
The reason why Kieran did not help cure Aldo was to show off Nikola's healing skills.
“My job is to make magic tools to counter demon beasts. The day before yesterday, I was rushed to a battle. I had to heal all of my colleagues who screwed up and had a blue face, so I have a bad complexion right now."
"I didn't know that. Certainly, your complexion is no good? I’m sorry, Mr. Aldo. Let's treat it immediately."
As soon as possible, Nikola got to preparing the bed for the treatment.
“Don’t you dare do something to him like that *fool."
*I think he's referring to the guy that harassed Nikola at the beginning of the first chapter.
As Kieran spoke with a soft volume that Nikola could not hear, Aldo turned his head around.
"Of course I'll trust you. We're in the same business."
The answer was not quietly stated. Nikola probably heard it too. Nikola sandwiched both of his cheeks with his hands, getting ready for the treatment.
"What’s wrong?"
Nikola has his mouth ridiculously opened in shock with his face obviously getting red.
"Well, uh…… I’m glad Mr. Aldo recognizes me as a healer."
'I thought that he looked cute. No matter where you look though, you can only see a man. And with such a gesture, I felt somehow depressed. It was strange.'
'After Kieran went out of the room, I was examined lightly from the top of my robe, receiving a full-scale treatment. The voice he used is soft and gentle. The hand feels warm and pleasant. It's regrettable that my robe is still on.'
'The feeling of the treatment is very pleasant. The magical energy is gentle. ―- Oh, cozy. It is no wonder that Kieran was raving over him and calling him a great healer. This hand is great. It's gentle and smooth.'
'I feel healed. My chest became hot and painful, as if I had been looking for such a hand all this time.'
In the middle of the procedure, there was a conversation with Nikola, Aldo felt longing for Nikola.
“A manipulative surgeon can lighten the discomfort within the body, but they can’t cure injuries and diseases all the way.”
The treatment had improved the magic circulation a little. Not much burden was put on the body and Aldo found it to be wonderful. Aldo thought, “This is good……” And wrinkled his face. His chest felt sweet and sore, but the pain was somehow pleasant. It’s strange.
"Only a few people have healing magic."
"But, because of the extermination of the demon beasts, training, and working hard to protect the country. It is a good thing to have an easy-to-use treatment as you are doing a lot of work. Mr. Aldo is doing a special job to heal others, so it’s a very important job."
Nikola, who is able to encourage many people to receive treatment, praises people who can use healing magic, and Aldo, who is a healer, was praised as a dazzling person.
Aldo felt happy and thought that Nikola is dazzling. If Aldo were to say those words, Nikola would be in denial and say Aldo is the better healer so Aldo didn't voice his thoughts out loud.
"Please don’t overdo it."
After finishing the treatment, it was a shame that the warmth of the hand that touched the robe can only be touched once today.
Aldo walked behind Kieran and followed him to the backyard with a body that has become completely lighter. The elderly couple were leisurely drinking a cup of tea in the house and waved to Kieran and Aldo.
"…… Let’s go."
"Oh really?"
While describing teleportation magic to the others at the Royal Palace, Kieran furiously frowned.
"Well, you’re getting better. Nikola is still worried. Be healthy, *lifeline."
*Lifeline = Aldo's nickname
"Oh, thank you. When I get better, I'll join the joint research between the magicians and the healers."
"That's great. Get well soon!"
Returning to the gardens of the royal palace in the blink of an eye, Aldo parted with Kieran with a few words and returned to the treatment room. The state of Aldo who works vividly with his new lighter body caused the surroundings to make a fuss that “His glowing aura increased”, and ” I wonder why but it must be a secret!” Aldo kept silent because Kieran had told him so.
After that, Kieran began to take a casual attitude towards Aldo, and it came to be rumored that “The Supreme Healer also melted the heart of the Icy Moon Beauty.” The court ladies said, "If the two of you are together, it must be good luck," and asked Aldo to be on the look out, but Aldo quietly pretended that he did not know anything.
