Chapter 3 - A deal
The next morning, the sun was shining and the weather was clean. The classroom filled with students, "I can only hear the sound of chalk as "sensei" was writing on the board". Akizuki looking out from his classroom window, "On sunny mornings, I transfer to the subway and head here, like I'm supposed to--, like I'm supposed to, what a joke". The day ended faster than expected, "as there is nothing to do during the day". Next morning, Akizuki's alarm starts ringing in his phone. He dismissed the alarm and woke up, he heard a sound of the raindrops, "it's raining" he said with a smile on his face. He took his limpid umbrella, as he walks down the street, there was a big smile on his face. After a few minutes of walking He entered Shinjuku gyoen national garden, he walks inside there was a couple of ducks in the lake this time, he keeps on moving, jumping from the puddles, as he reaches the shelter. There was that lady again sitting on the same side of the bench as she was last time, closing the umbrella he went inside. She looked at Akizuki and smiled."Oh! Good morning" she said gently.
"ah. Good morning"
Akizuki sat down and started sketching. The lady drinking a beer. After a half an hour, Akizuki frozen while putting his hand on his forehead, a confused look on his face as he stared at the sketchbook. While she opens a new can of beer and started drinking, Akizuki took a glance at her legs, which she was swinging her left shoe. He drew a carve line from the upper ankle to the little finger as he was observing her's. "hey, is it a school holiday?" she asked, Akizuki looked at her suddenly - "what about you, early retirement" said Akizuki. " I'm skipping work again.," she said, with a mournful look on her face.
" and knocking down the couple of beers in the park apparently" they both laugh
- " drinking beer is not good for your health, maybe you should eat something". The lady leans towards him, " you seem to know a lot about this subject" she said.
" it's not me. My mom's the drinker"
She murmured " so you wanted me to eat something" she opens her bag and removed a bunch of chocolates, " would this do?". Akizuki freaked out,
" I can see it in your eyes, you think I am nuts"
" No, I was - -"
" it's okay, I promise I'm senior the most, just another human being after all"
" maybe.."
" definitely"
A strong wind blows and the rain slows down,
Akizuki closing his book holds his umbrella and stood up
" Okay, it's about time for me to go," he said,
" after school?"
" rains letting up and that's the deal I made, can only cut classes on rain days"
" well, we'll see each other again. I mean, it's gonna rain again someday" she said in an exhilarating voice.
Akizuki leaves the shelter as he was walking back out of the garden, he suddenly started running and then just like that, it was the first day of Kanto's rainy season.
