Qianhua's godfather wasn't around much the days she lived with him; and he usually asked little about her personal life. As long as the ghost princess has enough spiritual power to hide her ghost scent, she's afraid her godfather wouldn't notice the exchange at first. If the ghost lady then does anything rude or inappropriate with Qianhua's face, it's going to hurt her godfather's reputation for sure. Once thought of this, Qianhua couldn't wait any longer to escape from the Ghost realm...
However, Qianhua knew it before, HanGe was a very tricky dominator.
The gate of the Ghost realm was fully closed, and the bluestone road towards the gate was covered with water from the Resentment River! HanGe was right; Qianhua was just a spirit with weak spiritual power. If she accidentally stepped into the Resentment River, she would turn back into a hedgehog immediately and even lose a few thorns.
Qianhua felt depressed and almost cried out loud in the dark. She signed deeply and tried to stay calm.
"You have no choice, hedge ball. Just get back to your room and rest for the night." Before she could think of a solution, Yansi came from the back.
"So you are saying, I shall just let your Ghost king and princess use me and not fight for it?" Qianhua was angry, " Yes I am just a hedgehog, but now I am also the daughter of the Eastern Star God. I can't let a bunch of ghosts take advantage of me! They could have asked me directly if they need to borrow my godfather for the Heavenly banquet. I may even think about it! But they lied! And they kidnapped me! How can you ghosts be so selfish?!"
"Sorry, sorry, it is all our fault. I'll apologize to you for our king and princess." Yansi bowed deeply but sounded insincere, "I honestly hope you can forgive them and stay in the Ghost realm for a few more days. Till our princess was successfully married to the Heavenly King, we will arrange the most luxurious ride to send you back to the Eastern Star God."
Qianhua was shocked when he finished, "Till she is married?"
"Oh, of course no. I didn't phrase it right. Our princess will change back to her own look when she successfully gets into the Heavenly realm. Our king will release you right after that. Our princess looks just as attractive as you, only in a different way. No reason the Heavenly king would refuse such a foxy lady."
Qianhua still insisted, "No, I don't even wanna stay here for another minute!" When she finished, she turned around and walked straight into the Resentment water, which might wound her skin and bones.
Before she touched the water, Qianhua quickly used a defense spell.
The spell generated a blue shinning spherical shell. The shell had the perfect size to wrap a hedgehog in the center and rolled through the shallow water.
Qianhua was clear that if she could stay in hedgehog form, the spell had a chance to protect her to the gate. She was excited and didn't realize HanGe just arrived. HanGe didn't know what happened, nor had time to find out. When he saw Qianhua rushed into the Resentment water, he was too anxious about her life to consult YanSi for the story. Without saying anything, he lightly jumped up into the air and flew over towards Qianhua. He grabbed her waist and picked her up from the water. He circled her tightly with his arms until they reached to a safe spot.
HanGe gently put her down and interestedly stared at her surprised face.
