Chapter 11 Meeting the Heavenly King (I)
"Be patient. We don't want to be caught." Qianhua tightened her belt to press her hungry belly. In case this restless ghost would jump out to frighten the crowds.
"Our king has told you earlier that he did not like ministers to prepare costly for some elaborate birthday banquet. It was just the apple polishers' idea. Now the king didn't even bother to attend his own birthday party. What you gonna do about it?!" A young immortal, who was sitting next to Qianhua, glared at Lord LaoZi and smirked.
"Actually it's not that bad our king is not around. At least everyone is relaxing and having a good time at his party, don't you see it?" Another immortal observed for a while and then replied with emotion. When he finished, he began to pack the dishes in front of him. Perhaps he intended to share the joy with his wife and kids back home.
Qianhua sat up straight and looked around. He was right. The gods and fairies who behaved well previously were currently laying back on their seats and taking off the restrictive hair bangs. Once the fact of king's absence was spread out, the hall turned noisy instantly. The excited guests were screaming, gaming, dancing and drinking as if they had never partied before.
Qianhua got thrilled too. She pulled Eastern Star God's sleeve and asked him, "Dad, can I head out and check around?" She was afraid that if she stayed there any longer, the ghost thorn would go absolutely berserk.
"Don't go too far." Eastern Star God nodded and agreed. He seemed open-minded, when his daughter was now too normal to get noticed.
As Qianhua was about to get up, a fairy that was sitting on the other side of Eastern Star God suddenly cast a mocking glance, "Oops, this one is the daughter of Eastern Star God. I did not even notice you at all! I thought you were only a servant girl!"
Qianhua felt offended and turned around to see the speaking fairy. The fairy was about her godfather's age and wearing a dark-color feather embroidered dress. She was not a good-looking woman, especially when compared with the lady in purple behind her. The lady in purple had a pair of bright eyes and looked graceful. She smiled gently at Qianhua like a pleasant angle.
Qianhua laughed with her mouth wide open and said, "Dad, what shall I call this grandma fairy? Although her beauty was taken by aging, her maid was a catchy. Did this maid help prepare the black crow costume?"
Hearing that, Eastern Star God's face changed. He reproved his daughter, "Qianhua, don't be rude. This is the Lord Yin Star."
It's Moon God!
Moon God was trying to contain her anger and watching Qianhua coldly. She waited for the young lady to apologize.
Unfortunately, Qianhua was a hedgehog with temper, "Oh, it is grandma Moon God! Grandma must work too hard and stay up too late at night, which is not a good habit for skincare."
Qianhua stood up and ran away from the party hall before Mood God could talk back.
