Chapter 4: Cute and Small
Tang Siyu was stunned into silence. Amused, she glanced at their eyebrows and compared them. Her lips curled up into a small smile. Her father accepted her child, she wanted nothing more than that.
Looking down at the cheerful family from the second floor, a certain mother-daughter duo burned with hatred and jealousy. The stepmother, Qiu Lin, snorted unhappily.
However, she put up a pretense as she walked towards the trio downstairs and greeted Tang Siyu as if she loved her the most in this world.
“I apologize for being so late! I thought were going to arrive in the afternoon so I went out to prepare for your arrival.”
“Auntie.” Tang Siyu merely acknowledged her presence. Any more face than that, her stepmother did not deserve a bit. When she saw Tang Yiyi, her eyes turned cold. How she wished she didn’t have to deal with them!
Qiu Lin didn’t dare drop her facade in front of Tang Xiong, so she brushed off Tang Siyu’s attitude and turned her focus onto the boy next to her.
“Oh, this child looks so cute!” She exclaimed.
Tang Siyu’s heart grew anxious when her stepmother bent down to pull at Little Xi’s cheeks. She knew first-hand exactly how much Qiu Lin and Tang Yiyi hated her. So she was sure that they would try to Little Xi behind her back.
“Elder sister,” Tang Yiyi smiled as she sauntered her way over to Tang Siyu’s side, “It’s been a long time since I last saw you!”
Tang Siyu looked away in disgust. The scene she walked in on five years ago was engraved in her mind. The sight of their naked bodies clinging onto each other still hurt her. Just because she decided to let go of any grudges didn’t mean she forgave their actions.
Tang Siyu and Mu Fei were childhood friends that slowly grew to love each other and she used to think their bond was extremely tight. However, everything between them was ruined that day! Tang Siyu hated Mu Fei and Tang Yiyi’s guts. Even if their relationship lasted for an eternity, it still wouldn’t be pure. After all, a second-hand relationship that was based on lies could only go so far.
It was the worst year of her life, not only did she get cheated on by her fiance, even her virginity had been snatched from her! Tang Siyu now knew exactly how cruel the world was and could see through the disgusting nature of every man. A good man, there wasn’t even a single one in this world!
Her father suddenly ordered the servant, “Xiao Lin! Siyu and Little Xi will sleep in the guest room, go clean it.”
“There’s no need for all that trouble, Father! One of my good friends invited me to stay over at her house along with Little Xi,” Tang Siyu objected.
“Why bother her when you can depend on your family?”
Tang Siyu stubbornly argued, “I won’t be bothering her at all. She’s like a sister!” She didn’t trust this place enough to let Little Xi spend the night here. Her step-family already hated her to death. Her father’s increasing love for her child was just enough to push them over the edge and try to harm her or Little Xi.
Xiaoxi also pleaded cutely on his mother’s behalf, “Please Grandpa? I want to visit my Godmother too!”
“Alright, I won’t argue anymore but you’re always welcome to stay here. Little Xi, let’s take a walk in the garden!” Tang Xiong said as he stood up and lead him to the garden.
His cute little grandson beamed at him and held onto him with his small, chubby hands. This gesture made Tang Xiong’s cold heart overflow with warmth and love!
He definitely needed to make up to his daughter for his behavior these past years. After all, she gave birth to a son carrying the blood of Tang Clan in him.
After they left, Tang Siyu was left all alone to deal with those demons from hell. She wanted nothing more than to follow after her father and son but since her father wanted to spend some time with his precious grandson, it wouldn’t be a good idea to go.
Since Tang Xiong was no longer there, Tang Yiyi immediately expressed her true feelings and mocked Tang Siyu, “Why did you decide to suddenly show up again? Weren’t you happy living abroad?”
“This is my house too, I can come back without any particular reason whenever I want,” Tang Siyu’s cold voice echoed in the hall.
Qiu Lin couldn’t help compare her daughter to Tang Siyu. Within these five years away from home, not only did Tang Siyu become even more beautiful, even her disposition grew charming. Although Tang Yiyi was above average, she didn’t hold a candle to Tang Siyu.
“Now I get why you ran away on the day of the wedding. Looking at the date of birth of your son, you had betrayed long ago.” Tang Yiyi tried to ridicule her. Ahh, Tang Siyu knew she could always count on Tang Yiyu to bring up matters from the past.
“Hm, if you like him so much, I’ll donate him to you,” She snapped back.
Hearing her words, Tang Yiyi couldn’t hold herself back. “Oh? I don’t need you to do that! After all, I’m already his girlfriend. We will be engaged soon, so it’s a good thing you’re already here. I’ll be sure to invite you!” Tang Yiyi boasted in a sickeningly sweet voice.
