有り得ぬような惨状が、目の前に広がっている。
既に敗北は決定的なのだが、余りにも戦の進行速度が速すぎて、撤退のタイミングを逸してしまっている。
しかし、その判断は決定的に遅すぎた。
「あら？ まさか中止なんて言いませんわよね？
進入するなら容赦しない、と。
以前もこの世にお邪魔した時、きちんと召喚して下さった方の望みは叶えましたもの。
貴方方にも、きちんと報いて差し上げますよ」
美しい貌に満面の笑顔。

忘れようも無い程美しい、緋色の髪を靡かせて。
恐怖を押し殺し、ガスターは部下に攻撃命令を下そうとする。

疲れていたのでしょう、もう起き上がる事は出来ないようですね」

だが、全く音がしない。

簡単にそう告げられて、ガスターは激昂した。

ひょっとすると、暴れまわっている暴力の化身のような、あの魔狼型魔人よりも上位者かも知れない。
この上、まだヴェルドラなどの天災級の魔物が控えているのだから。
「待ってくれ、取引がしたい！」
「お、俺は帝国でも階級が高い。
役に立つ事を約束する。だから、命だけは助けて欲しい！」
恥も外聞も投げ捨てて、命乞いをするガスター。
ガスターの"耳"に、数名の者が接近する音が聞こえていたのだ。

彼等は上位の戦闘能力があるにも関わらず、序列強奪戦に参加する事は無い。

首筋に、冷たく魂をも凍えさせそうな、繊細な女の手の感触を感じた。
魔物の毛が織り込まれた、聖銀を鍛えし鎖は、伝説級レジェンドでも上位性能を有するというのも虚しい程に、破壊され、砕かれていた。
その表情に、焦燥と混乱が浮かんでいた。
そして、そんな彼等を更なる苦難が襲った。
「Testarossa, you still haven’t kill them yet? Even though Rimuru-sama had command us to let out all of our power, you will get scolded you know?」
リムル様が全力を出せと仰せなのに、怒られるよ？」
そう言いながら、紫紺の長髪をポニーテールにした少女が空から降って来た。
たった一人を相手取っても厳しい状況の中で、この援軍は致命的であった。
その三名は、自分達ならば一対一であっても上位魔将アークデーモンクラスをも斃せると自負していた。
戦況は不利と断じる必要があった。
「ガスター殿、ここは一旦引きます」
そうガスターに断りを入れ、一人が転移魔法の詠唱に入った。
直後、

「何が不思議なの？ 魔素撹乱放射マジックキャンセラーの使い方、間違っていないでしょう？」

「まさか、魔法で再現したとでも……！？」
思念リンクにより、悪魔達は情報を共有していた。
しかし、そんな事は人間の常識では計り知れない次元の話であり、三人の情報局職員には理解出来る話では無い。
「You, what the hell are you!? There’s no way an Arc Demon have power to that extent!!」
その叫びを愉しそうに聞いて、テスタロッサは微笑みを深めた。
「ええ、そうね。私は上位魔将アークデーモンよりは上位の存在だわね。
一緒に見えるのかしら？

彼等は、自らが相対したものの真なる正体に気付く事もなく、死を迎える事になったのだ。

悪魔テスタロッサは嗤い、
「"死の祝福デスストリーク"」
瞬間、握りつぶされた黒い炎が、黒い光を周囲に拡散させ撒き散らす。
物理的に破壊を齎す事は無いのだが、とある特徴を持っていた。
遺伝子を強制的に書き換える事により、ほぼ全ての生物を強制的に死滅させる。
ただし、その目的は別にあると伝承には伝わっている。
肉体の完全破壊からの再生が可能な者のみなのだ。
唯一、聖光結界のみが対抗手段とされていた。
百万人に一人が、その身を魔物に転じる事で、その命を永らえさせる。
ただし、この魔法での魔物化の成功例は存在しない。
この魔法こそが、最悪の禁呪。
半径500mに制限された範囲において、凶暴な死の暴威が吹き荒れた。
自分を含む悪魔にとっては、この魔法は何の意味も無い。
残念なのは、敵味方を問わず、範囲内の生物を殺しつくしてしまう点である。
なので、500mに指定する必要があったのだ。
「この辺一体、全て皆殺しになったね。
「ええ、その為に、人間だけを掃除したのだもの。
「仕方ないよ！ リムル様は、ボク達には戦うなって言っていたし。
だけど、ボクも空に浮かんでた玩具を壊さない方が良かったかな？」
あれでは、サンプルの採取が難しいかも知れないわね」

それで問題ないと思う事にしましょう」
そう話し合い、その会話を終わらせるテスタロッサとウルティマ。
"死の祝福デスストリーク"により殺すと同時に、きちんと魂の刈り取りまで為されている。
今回のように、魂の刈り取りを同時に行った場合、生存率は完全にゼロとなるのだ。
嘗て自身を倒した者の最後を見ても、テスタロッサに感慨は無い。
こうして、帝国軍の作戦司令部が完全に沈黙した事により、この戦場での魔物の国テンペストの勝利が確定した。
戦場は、殲滅戦へとその様相を転じる事になるのである。
