“Shi Won unni? M-…Manager Moon?”
“Hiik!”
Shi Won, frightened to death, let out a shriek as she hurriedly let go of Manager Moon’s hand.
But alas, it was too late.
Shi Won turned her head to see Assistant Manager Kim Na Rae with a twinkle in her eye and a mischievous grin on her face.
‘This person is no good.’
After confirming that it was indeed Kim Na Rae, Shi Won stared at her with her thin eyes.
Manager Moon also tried to hide the fact that he was holding her hands in front of Kim Na Rae.
Assistant Manager Kim put up her lips and walked towards them in an arrogant manner.
As she approached them, Manager Moon put Shi Won behind him.
“Oho…”
“Oho?”
She disliked the look that she was giving them like they were two children caught doing something naughty.
“Na Rae, were you going home?”
“Unni, are you dating?”
‘Ah… this person…’
“Wh-What?”
She gave out a cute laugh. She looked up and down at Manager Moon.
“You are, right?”
Shi Won and Manager Moon could not refute that and Manager Moon felt a headache coming as he felt that work tomorrow would be a pain.
Kim Na Rae looked towards Shi Won and said, “Let’s go talk somewhere else.”

Manager Moon kept on lifting his coffee and putting it down on the table while Kim Na Rae happily looked at his discomfort while sitting next to Shi Won.
She took a big gulp of her iced americano and looked at Kim Na Rae.
‘Aioo… How hateful.’
Kim Na Rae wrapped her arm around Shi Won’s arm and leaned back on her chair. She stared smugly at the two of them.
“So you two are dating right?”
“Hey, aren’t you gonna let go of my arm? How could you act like this as an assistant manager…”
“When did you guys start?! Ah! No wonder… Manager Moon you were acting so strange that day. You guys had me completely fooled!”
“Go ahead and tell everyone. You’ll regret it.”
Shi Won’s eyes narrowed and glared at Na Rae.
“But why would you want to hide this good news? You should quickly tell the whole office! Ah! So that’s why you chose Manager Moon during the camping trip? Wow. Daebak!! You two… wow!!”
As she thought harder and deeper about it, Kim Na Rae realized that there were so many hints and clues so she kept on chattering away.
“Heum heum!”
Manager Moon pretended to cough and put his hand behind his neck.
“Manager Moon, don’t worry about this. I’ll take care of her and make sure she doesn’t say a word.”
Shi Won told Manager Moon, trying to console him.
“You! Just try to tell our secret!”
“What? What are you gonna do if I do?”
One side of Shi Won’s lips began going up and she started to laugh.
“Wh-wh-what?!”
Shi Won began laughing with a twisted grin on her face and Kim Na Rae had a bad feeling about it.
“You told me a while back that you went on a blind date with a guy and when he said that he didn’t like you, you came to me all plastered drunk and you began calling him….”
“Ah! Ack!”
Moving at an inhumane speed, Kim Na Rae slammed the table with her hand and covered Shi Won’s mouth with the other while Manager Moon looked at them amused.
“Stop! Stop!”
“Ah! Move your hand! I’m not even getting star
ted.”
Shi Won moved her hand from her mouth and was about to open her lips to give out more embarrassing stories.
“Also, you said you liked Manager Gam from…”
“Ack! Ack! Unni!”
Shi Won easily removed Assistant Manager Kim’s hand from her mouth and laughed.
“What are you gonna do? At this rate we’ll probably have to stay in this cafe all night.”
“Wow. This unni. I never thought you would be like this. You’re so…”
“I’m so what?”
“You’re both so good together!”
*Pfft*
Manager Moon who was silent the entire time couldn’t help but let out a laugh.
“Keep your mouth shut, understand? Or else I’ll tell the whole office of your embarrassing moments.”
“Yes I understand! You know what the funny thing is? No one in the office knows! So tell me! When did you guys start dating?”
At Na Rae’s question, Shi Won and Manager Moon both looked at each other.
They’d never told anyone how they began dating so they both were embarrassed and shy about it.
Kim Na Rae stared at the couple who looked at each other shyly, blushing.
“Look at you two, flirting in front of me.”
“Hey!”
“Whew. Whatever, you’re not telling me anything. I don’t wanna hear it. I’m going.”
She drank all of her coffee in one gulp and got up to leave.
“Assistant Manager Kim Na Rae. You don’t have a boyfriend?”
“Can’t you tell just by looking? She doesn’t have a boyfriend because of her personality…”
Assistant Manager Kim took off the lid of her coffee cup and shook her eyes as she stared at Shi Won.
“How could you get a boyfriend without me? You traitor!”
“Would you like to go on a blind date?”
At Manager Moon’s sudden suggestion, her eyes brightened and she put her hand on the table.
“Blind date?”
She politely put her hands on her knees and sat straight.
She wondered how her voice could change to be so sweet.
“Hey, hey, don’t change your tone of voice.”
“Unni, stop interrupting. Manager Moon, continue.”
Manager Moon stifled his laughter and continued talking.
“A while back a junior of mine was scouted from America to come to Korea and I remember he came here to ask me if there was anyone he could meet.”
Assistant Manager Kim’s eyes twinkled. She asked about him with a soft voice and a sincere look.
“How old is he?”
“Thirty years old.”
“He’s exactly four years older. Perfect. What’s his job?”
“He was scouted as the head of XX Electronics.”
“Oh, that’s not bad.”
Shi Won had enough and couldn’t help but laugh.
“What’s not bad? He’s way too overqualified for you.”
“Unni, do you have any idea how much I like Manager Moon?” Na Rae said as she began to compliment Manager Moon.
Shi Won laughed at Kim Na Rae who spoke in really sweet voice and gave a soft smile.
Hu… she called Manager Moon a fashion terrorist and that he would be single for the rest of his life. She said that she would never date someone like Manager Moon.
“Ah. Did you really think of me like that? I also thought that you were a good person and had a great personality.”
‘Wow.. look at these two people are playing around.’
Shi Won opened her mouth at the absurdity of their conversation.
“Ho ho ho. To think that you thought so well of me. So when can I go on the blind date?’
“I’ll give him a call. Would you like to meet as soon as possible?”
“Oh no, I’m not in a hurry but if you wanna rush it, then I don’t mind.”
“Ho ho ho.”
“Ha ha ha.”
“Kim Na Rae… wow… you’re so shameless. Your eyes look like a journalist who just got her next big scoop.”
Manager Moon elbowed her lightly to stop speaking to Kim Na Rae so meanly.
“Manager Moon, don’t worry. You know me. I’m Kim Na Rae, known to have the heaviest lips in the company. I’ll stand by your side quietly.”
“If you can do that for us, Shi Won and I would greatly appreciate it.”
This man was obviously not normal and had some ability.
In an instant, he was able to make someone like Kim Na Rae, who was like a hyena, to become so docile towards him.
“Omo! I believe that I interrupted you in the middle of your date.”
‘Did you just realize that?’
“Assistant Manager Kim, if you haven’t eaten yet, would you like to have dinner with us?”
“Oh! May I?”
Suddenly Manager Moon looked down at Shi Won and patted her head gently.
“It’s okay right?’
“Ha…”
Shi Won slowly nodded her head.
They ate a fine restaurant because Kim Na Rae really wanted to eat steak.
During their meal, all she talked about was questions about her blind date and Shi Won wasn’t able to have a proper conversation with Manager Moon.
‘This bitch…’
Assistant Manager Kim, looked at Manager Moon and Shi Won without shame as she kept on talking and laughing.
She was someone who you couldn’t help but like because of her sweet and bubbly personality. Although there were times that Shi Won wanted to choke her to death, it still was one of her charms.
Even though she didn’t trust her to keep a secret, she was still worried about that. However, Manager Moon seemed to be handling the problem well.
‘He’s a very competent man. Who could hate him?’
“Wow Kim Na Rae. Look at the time…”
Manager Moon was going to the U.S. in two days, so Shi Won, who wanted to spend more time with Manager Moon, was unable to have a date with him today.
“It’s late, we should go home now.”
She held his hand and returned home filled with regret.
Shi Won sat in front of her mirror surrounded by make-up and girly things after her shower as she grabbed her lotion.
*Rrrrrrr*
Shi Won saw who was calling her and laughed at the ringing cell phone. But she frowned right away.
“Ah. What?”
“My favorite unni, did you get home safely?”
“Why did you call me? We just met earlier?”
“Ah, why are you so mad at me?”
“Whatever. Did you get home safely? Why did you call me?”
“I can’t go to sleep. Manager Moon… no, should I start calling him brother-in-law?”
“Brother-in-law?!!”
Even though she yelled it out, she couldn’t help but feel good about it.
“Wow, but unni, I was so surprised. How did you two date so secretly?”
Kim Na Rae remembered what had happened this evening and kept on talking about it.
“But unni, Manager Moon is going to America. What are you going to do?”
“What can I do? I can’t stop him from going to the business trip.”
She couldn’t say that she would miss him, so she just sighed.
“But unni.”
Shi Won brought her cell phone closer to her ear because of Kim Na Rae’s tone suddenly got softer.
“How far did you guys go?”
“What? What are you talking about?”
“Ehhh… Unni, be honest. How far did you go?”
“Hey!!”
“Ah! Why are you screaming? You surprised me.”
“You’re so young yet you…”
“There’s only a one year difference between us. Come on! Tell me!!”
“I think that you guys definitely kissed. Then? What else did you do?”
*Sigh…*
“Oh.. okay.”
Kim Na Rae’s nasty face appeared in Shi Won’s mind and she heard her giggling behind the phone.
“Hey, I’m going to sleep, hang up.”
“Unni! Unni! Don’t hang up!”
“Ugh. Why?’’
“Unni, think about it. You won’t be able to see him for a month!”
“Why are you saying this again?”
‘Making me feel bad…’
“It’s not too late!”
“What? What are you talking about?”
“These days it’s not that bad if a woman initiates first. Think carefully. Huh? You only have one day left. Then the man you love will be gone for one month.”
‘Well… she’s not wrong…’
“Kekeke.”
“Hey stop laughing!”
“Unni, I’m going to sleep. Think about it, got it? I’m only telling you this because you’re my unni. Good night.”
Kim Na Rae hung up after she was done speaking her part.
She threw her phone on her bed, then she laid down on the bed and stared at the ceiling.
‘I won’t be able to see him for a month after he leaves.
‘Nowadays, it isn’t bad if a woman initiates.
‘The next day, he’s gonna be gone for a month.’
Shi Won thought about Kim Na Rae’s words one by one.
She rolled around in her bed and couldn’t stay still while thinking.
Shi Won got up suddenly from her bed.
“Ugh! Kim Na Rae, you say such useless things!”
Shi Won went under her blanket and hugged her pillow as she closed her eyes.
