While making for the entrance, Fang Shen dialed Wan Shiping's number. "Have you finished the task I assigned to you?"
He asked in an authoritative manner, but Wan was not enraged at all. He was having a spa right now. Ignoring the bevy of beauties trying to flirt with him, Wan leaned against the pool and answered, "Mr. Fang, they will arrive at your house soon. One of them is the secretary of Bureau of Natural Resources of Jianghai City, and the other one is the chief of Bureau of Public Security."
"Well done!" It was the first time that Fang praised Wan.
Wan's face lit up with happiness. "If only I could help you, Mr. Fang."
Fang opened the door; dozens of guns were pointed at him.
He had goose bumps even though he had life and death eyes.
"I have to reach the Secret State as soon as possible. Then I won't be afraid of bullets," he thought to himself.
Even if the policemen fired at him at the same time, he had confident in dodging half the bullets. If he got shot, he could treat himself with the Resurrection and got away.
According to the information he had, the policemen dared not fire at people for no reason.
He walked out of the house slowly.
"Hands up, or I'll shoot!" a policeman shouted.
Fang, of course, would not raise his hands. Resting his hands behind his back, he looked around.
Xiao Dazhuang stood at the rare of the crowd. With so many policemen before him, he grew bolder. "Fang Shen, you hurt five villagers last night, and wounded my daughter's boyfriend this morning. Our village is fouled by thugs like you!"
"Go on." Fang replied with a smile.
He could only stall for time so that the two officials would come to his rescue.
"Are you hoping that Zhang Lu will save you?" Xiao sneered.
"I don't know how you managed to get in good with Zhang Lu. The policemen of Jianghai County are here. There is no way for you to run away. Zhang Lu is nothing. Even if ten Zhang Lu were here, they would be unable to save you!"
"You are right. Zhang Lu is nothing." Fang smiled.
"Fang Shen, how dare you make impertinent remarks on your sole backer? So, you are going to give yourself up, huh?" Xiao laughed out loud.
He gave cigarettes to the policemen and suggested, "You may take him away now."
The policemen were about to move forward, but their leader's phone rang at this moment. He raised his hand to stop them and answered the phone. His face sourced at the call as he answered in a flattering voice, "No problem! Director, please rest assured. I will make a detailed report to the leaders from the Jianghai City. Don't worry."
After hanging up, he shouted to the rest policemen, "Stop that. Everyone, listen to me, retreat!"
"What's going on, Mr. Wang?" Xiao was dumbfounded.
Ignoring Xiao, the leader got on his car. The police cars proceeded to the dock of the village at a short distance from Liu Huihe's house and pulled over. It seemed they were waiting for some important people.
After a short time, a group of people got off the ferry in a hurry. They looked worn-out after a long journey.
There were more than ten people; some wore police uniforms and others wore suits.
One of them asked the policemen waiting on the dock, "Where is Mr. Fang?"
"Which Mr. Fang?" The leader was shocked.
"Fang Shen!"
"He is in the village." The leader pointed to Liu's house and gave a flattering smile in an attempt to fawn on the officials from Jianghai City.
However, the group ignored him and trotted towards Fang Shen.
Xiao still stayed still, waving a document in front of Fang. The document was a land use approval; he got it from the county at a heavy price.
