Chapter 7 (Part 1): If You Embrace Me (VII)

This year's Christmas didn't happen during a weekend so Lu Man, with Jiang Xi's identity, went to school as usual. When she went out in the morning, she saw that the old mailbox in front of Xie Boyu's yard had been emptied.
In the afternoon, Lu Man came out of the school and saw that Xie Boyu's car was parked near the entrance of the school. She walked over with a smile on her face and knocked on the glass window. The window lowered. The man sitting on the driver's seat was calm and tranquil. He only said two words: "Get in."
Lu Man sat down in the front passenger seat and happily asked: "Yu gege, how come you're here?"
Xie Boyu held the steering wheel in his hands and started the car, then asked: "What do you want to eat tonight?"
Lu Man looked at him and thought for a while… "I don't want to eat outside."
Xie Boyu said: "I'm not good at cooking."
"Huh? So you know of that?" Lu Man looked bewildered instantly. She said with a tangled face, "I've always wanted to ask if you forgot to put salt in the soup noodles when you cooked before…… Also, there were no poached eggs!"
Contrary to what one might expect, Xie Boyu was calm: "I didn't forget."
Lu Man pouted and said: "It tasted really bad but I still finished eating it. It must be true love, right?"
Xie Boyu's eyes showed a faint smile. He opened his mouth and asked again: "What do you want to eat tonight?"
Lu Man said: "But I still don't want to eat outside. What will you do? Will it be sweet and sour pork ribs? Braised pork? Braised Fish? Fried Shrimps?"
Xie Boyu helplessly smiled and said: "It's unlikely but I can learn. As long as you eat them."
Lu Man immediately replied: "Eat ah, I'll eat ah, I want to eat!"
Xie Boyu said: "Then we have to go to the supermarket first. The refrigerator is empty at home."
Lu Man nodded. Her eyes crinkled as she smiled. Her face showed an expectant look.
Even though it was not the weekend, to catch up with Christmas the shops had activities and events. During the journey, they passed through large and small Christmas trees, bright and beautiful decorations, and joyful music. The festive atmosphere was so strong, and the crowd of pedestrians on the road were also very lively.
They went to the supermarket side by side and Xie Boyu was holding her. Lu Man understood his thoughts but she was still very unusually restless. She secretly hooked his fingers. Even if she repeatedly failed, she still enjoyed being with each other.
After many repetitions of this for a long while, Xie Boyu became disturbed by her restlessness so he had no choice but to say: "Don't joke around." He lowered his voice and he was very close to Lu Man. At the moment that his voice drilled into her ear, she felt that her ears were about to get pregnant.
Xie Boyu's voice was so charming at that moment that Lu Man can't help but be filled with emotion—
I really want to hear his voice in bed.
Perceiving her thoughts, S520 said with its head filled with black lines: "Man jie, don't be dirty! Be graceful!"
Lu Man just wanted to roll her eyes: "Mutual consent. Passionate love. More normal matters. I'm not trying to force/rape him.
S520 was shocked and whispered: "I'm just a pure Love Assisting System……"
Its previous host was basically reluctant of having a relationship with the capture targets, not even having to mention taking the initiative to produce such an idea. It knows that Lu Man is different but it didn't think that she would be so…… different……
Lu Man heard S520's rebuttal. She chuckled and smiled: "I can see but can't eat. Is it interesting?" If it weren't for her body being a student in the third year in high school and being underage, and also being inappropriate because she's still small, without any of these, she would have tried to eat and wipe clean*.

She internally ridiculed in a few words. Lu Man inevitably thought. Maybe even after the mission is completed, she still won't be able to eat…… Suddenly, she felt really bitter and hateful so she took her anger out on S520: "Trash Second-Hand System!"
S520: "……???"
Scared scared, escape escape.
They bought fruits and vegetables in the supermarket and went back.
When back in the old villa, Lu Man took hold of the iPad to help Xie Boyu search the internet for several dishes to cook. Xie Boyu helped her wash the fruits and then she passed the iPad into his hands. He gladly accepted it and turned back to the kitchen to work.
Lu Man laid on the sofa on the living room. She ate fruits while listening to English, almost raising her feet up like an arrogant idler. The scent of food slowly wafted out from the kitchen. She climbed up to find a paper and a pen to write a menu.
When she finished writing, Lu Man looked for refrigerator magnets. Then she went to the kitchen to paste the menu on the refrigerator door. Xie Boyu looked at her and heard her say: "I thought of these for the time being. I'll add something later."
Then Lu Man asked Xie Boyu: "If I make progress in my exams, will you reward me with a meal?"
Xie Boyu said: "Depends on the mood."
Lu Man's eyes opened wide but he already pushed her out of the kitchen.
Xie Boyu continued to cook a meal for the two of them. His expression remained calm and peaceful.
It was almost seven o'clock when the three dishes and one soup were served.
