Chapter 151: Divine Skills

“Do you know the Pet Tamer’s magical spatial swaps?” asked Hou Jie after thinking for a while.

“Yes.” Su Bai nodded, wondering what this had to do with the Little Blood Dragon.

“Then do you know how the Spatial Swap skill came to be? What about the other ordinary Pet Tamer skills?” She pressed on.

“I’m not sure. In fact, I don’t understand the difference in the skills between Pet Tamers and pets.”

Su Bai pondered about it and shook his head.

He knew that the source of a pet skill jade had been condensed over at least tens of thousands or even tens of millions of years in places where the laws were profound and rich. This was also the main origin that had other ways. Just like when the crystal nucleus after a monster’s death removed the remaining essence under the baptism of time, it could be turned into a skill jade.

It was considered a skill vein. The aura on Blue Planet had just been revived for more than a hundred years and it was born without skill jades, so all those came from space cracks or alternate worlds.

Su Bai had no idea where Pet Tamer skills came from.

Hou Jie glanced around before saying slowly, “Actually, compared to pet skills, Pet Tamer skills are much more precious. Don’t be deceived by the seemingly large variety of summoner skills on the market, the total number is in fact limited because the skills come from an alternate world’s origin.

“The ordinary summoner skills are derived from origin fragments, while the skills born from origin’s core are the real precious things. These are collectively referred to as the Pet Tamers’ divine skills. It is rumored that the divine skills currently possessed by the entire Pet Alliance are only in single digits, for those skills can only be bred from origin when a world dies.

“Plus, the divine skills are unique and can’t be copied, only passed on. In fact, compared to spatial swaps, the divine skills, which are hidden in the darkness without their names seeing the light, are much more terrifying.

“The reason why spatial swaps were made known to the public is that their inception is tortuous. A spatial swap is divided into five parts, but even so, it’s still well-deserving of its name as a divine skill.”

Su Bai listened to her explanation and was quite surprised. This was the first time he had heard the secret about the summoner skills. Moreover, this secret was huge. The origin of the skills being a dead world was terrifying news.

“Does the Ancestor Blood Dragon have any connection with Pet Tamers’ divine skills?” whispered Su Bai as he looked up at Hou Jie’s big eyes.

Thinking about what Wei Ya and his master had said previously, he suddenly came to a realization. If it really involved the summoners’ divine skills, then this matter was several times more serious.

If just the exchange of incomplete divine skills was already so terrifying, he wondered how many pairs of eyes would covet a complete divine skill. Was this why those people wanted to know his pet dragon’s specific data?

His heartbeat suddenly quickened.

“Possibly. I asked about where I could obtain a summoner divine skill when my grandpa was telling me the story and he sighed sorrowfully before mentioning some names, which included some with blood pets,” Hou Jie said.

“There is no need to worry too much, though. It is also possible that someone is just coveting your Ancestor Blood Dragon. If the divine skills were real, the Alliance would boil over. I’m just telling you these for you to keep in mind.” She smiled.

“Thank you, teacher.” The boy bowed and thanked her.

“Haha! No problem. You are my favorite student.” She smiled and patted off the snowflakes on his hair.

“Teacher, do you know any other summoner divine skills? I’m a little curious,” asked Su Bai.

“I’m not sure, I haven’t heard of it in so many years. The divine skills should still be in the hands of the older generation. Every divine skill is the most-guarded secret, so it’s too difficult to know the exact information. Outsiders don’t even know what divine skills are.” Hou Jie shook her head.

“Okay, then.”

Nodding, Su Bai turned and walked toward the classroom.

“Are you taking a long vacation to go on an adventure? I saw the leave slip on your desk.”

“Yes, I’m still too much of a rookie compared to those in the Alliance.” Su Bai nodded.

“You started off on a lower rung, but your progress has been astonishing.” Hou Jie patted his shoulder and comforted.

He smiled. “I’m not being humble; I just want to become stronger fast. In case you ever need my help one day, I’ll regret it very much if I’m still a rookie.”

“Haha! Are you hitting on me?” Hou Jie laughed.

“Of course not; I’m just telling the truth. You have contributed to my fast improvement.” He shook his head.

“Hahaha! Remember to stay safe, then. Also, remember what I told you. You had better not tell other people about these things. Sometimes, knowing more is even more dangerous.” Hou Jie patted his shoulder and smiled.

Su Bai nodded in understanding.

“What did Teacher Hou tell you?” Chen Ruoxue whispered when he returned.

“She talked about yesterday’s incident and told me some situations in the Alliance,” he replied.

Soon, when class was over, Su Bai and Chen Ruoxue went to their head teacher with the leave forms already signed by their parents. After they explained the specific reasons for taking leave, Wang Wenyi called their parents to confirm this request with them before happily permitting them.

“Remember to pay attention to your safety; it is very dangerous in the wilderness.” She exhorted.

“Thank you teacher; we will.”

They nodded in thanks.

They left the office and Chen Ruoxue turned to him. “Should we leave after the fourth class in the morning or now?”

“What do you think? I am fine with both options.”

“Then let us leave after class. Anyway, we aren’t going into the monster wilderness immediately.” She decided.

After the fourth class in the morning, they left school amid the heavy snow.

Back home, Su Bai hurriedly went to his bedroom and checked on the baby fox.

“Hing!” Ah Bai, you’re finally back! I’m hungry.

It let out a cheerful cry upon seeing him.

He was immediately relieved to see that the fox was okay, and his other pets had also recovered from their injuries.

Yesterday, the Mewling Fox had some difficulties moving its head, but now it could walk slowly, showing off the strong restorative ability of pets.

Of course, the therapeutic agent was also indispensable.

“Don’t worry; I will bring you food right away.” Su Bai smiled.

He released all his pets and fed them together.

“Howl! Ψ( ̄∀ ̄)Ψ” Ah Bai, things wouldn’t have come to this if you’d been this generous from the start!

The cub gobbled up the extra pieces of medicinal cakes that he had given in the past two days.

“Roar!” These two days are the only times I’ve been full. You can find me next time to sacrifice my life provided that you give me extra food!

The Little Tyrant wolfed down its food in big mouthfuls. It did not mind sacrificing itself a few more times in exchange for so much food to fill its belly.

Su Bai was speechless. Why were they such gluttons?

In fact, he gave them more meals not only because they had performed well but also because he wanted his current stock of medicinal cakes to be consumed fast as he intended to make a new batch of medicinal cakes for his pets.

The potions they were currently eating were all meant for peak warlords; he would replace these with commander potions and medicinal cakes.

Since he did not have enough money, he would sell the bad quality insect crystals at home, which should be enough.

Furthermore, he only needed to buy the raw materials as he could make the potions himself, which helped save more money.

After watching the pets eat, he headed back to his laboratory. This time, he would spend more time in the wilderness; hence, he needed to be more prepared. He had already decided to change to a larger space backpack, since the previous one turned out to be too small and was already full even before he loaded much inside.

Ding dong!

“Big bro, hurry up and open the door; it’s me! Open quickly or else I’ll freeze to death.”

Anxious knocks sounded from the door, accompanied by Su Yue’s yelling.

Su Bai put down his work at hand and walked over to open the door.

Once the door opened, a blast of cold wind mixed with snowflakes rushed in, causing him to shiver in his sweater.

“F*ck! I almost froze to death. I miss the time of global warming back then.” His younger brother flicked the snow on his feet and jumped inside.

After the aura rejuvenation, Blue Planet’s plants had grown wildly. After so many years, the greenhouse effect had long ceased to exist, and the winter weather had become colder.

In Cannes, there was originally no snow in winter, or at least there would only be a very thin layer of it. At present, there would always be half a meter pile of ice whenever it snowed.

Su Bai closed the door and asked, “Why did you run over instead of enjoying the heater at home? I know how to cook; you didn’t have to send food over.”

He noticed that Su Yue was holding a lunch box.

“The lunch box is just on the way; I came here to share a piece of good news with you.”

As Su Yue spoke, he took out two dark blue notebooks from his pocket. “Tada! Do you know what this is? I obtained both the pharmacist and trainer certificates. I’m now a junior trainer and pharmacist.”

“Wow, impressive! Oh, no. I have yet to prepare a gift for you.”

Su Bai froze in shock. His younger brother had completely gone beyond his expectations by obtaining a trainer certificate, too. He originally thought that Su Yue would be unable to obtain it.

This made him feel a little awkward, since he had yet to prepare a gift despite the latter having obtained two certificates at once.

Because of the series of events caused by the Little Blood Dragon, it had completely slipped his mind.

“Haha! It’s alright; it’s just a trivial matter. I was able to obtain the trainer certificate all thanks to the book collection. There’s lots of knowledge and exam questions recorded in them.” Su Yue grinned honestly. If not for his older brother’s books, he would have failed the test.

“What kind of pet do you want or do you have some other gift in mind? I will be out for a while, so I can look around and buy something back for you.”

Su Yue had just proven that his talent for cultivating was full to the brim.

“Hmm… Something helpful for cultivation would be great. I think a wood-attribute pet is best.” Su Yue pondered and said after a while.

“Alright, I see.” Su Bai nodded and took the lunch box from him.

“Big bro, I heard from mom that you will be out for some time. Are you going to the monster wilderness?” asked Su Yue. He already knew that his older brother had become a full-fledged Pet Tamer.

“Yes, you must take care of my spiritual plants while I’m gone. You have the key to my laboratory; you’re free to use the equipment inside, but leave my things alone.” Su Bai responded as he ate.

Su Yue had brought over a small bowl of stir fry, stuffed full of beef, which was made by their mother.

“Thank you. Don’t worry; I will definitely let those spiritual plants grow better than before.” His younger brother patted his chest and promised.

After eating, they chatted for a while to catch up. Because the wind and snow was still raging outside, he asked his younger brother to stay and rest for a while.

Anyway, his house was big and had many rooms.

After two days of heavy snowfall, it finally stopped. Su Bai was sitting on the balcony, gazing at the cold sight of thousands of trees and pear blossoms, when the phone suddenly rang.

He took it and saw a call from Zhou Ling’an.

“Hello, what’s the matter?” Su Bai answered the phone and inquired.

“I’m in Carp Town; where’s your house?” Zhou Ling’an’s crisp voice sounded.

“It’s… You will see a large manor ahead. That’s my house; I’ll wait for you at the gates.”

Su Bai did not expect that Zhou Ling’an would be so dedicated to deliver the goods as soon as the snow stopped.

“Jade, let’s go and get something.”

He returned to his house and glanced at the cub, which was lying on the ground with its limbs sprawled in an unsightly way.

“Howl? (๑oั╰╯oั๑)” What are we getting?

It got up and glanced at him.

“A space backpack and some raw materials for your potions.” He explained as he rode on its back.

The cub’s doe eyes lit up upon hearing that, and it hurried toward the gates with him on its back.

When he opened the gates, he saw Zhou Ling’an sitting on the back of a giant Silver Unicorn. She was wearing a black jacket and a pair of stockings as if she could not feel the cold of winter.

“This is your home?” She asked in shock the moment he came out. At the sight of this huge manor, she thought that she had gone in the wrong way.

“Yes, do you want to come in to sit for a while?” Su Bai nodded and asked.

“No, we can chat another day if we have time. This is the space backpack, the spiritual fruits, and the other materials you asked, for a total of 120,000,000 yuan.

“The insect crystals sold for 150,000,000 yuan; I converted 30,000,000 yuan into spiritual fruits as per your request.”

Zhou Ling’an jumped to the ground, walked over, and handed a black backpack to him.

Su Bai nodded and opened the backpack to inspect the goods inside. This backpack alone cost him more than 8,000,000 yuan, but in the same way, this backpack had a lot more space with its thirty cubic meters compartment.

Also, it had a retractable function, so even large things could be stored inside. The interior was made of fluorescent material, so he could see clearly what was stored in every place inside; it needed his pet to grab the items directly with its spiritual power.

In addition were many different storage boxes and storage bags; all of which had different functions that the owner could choose according to their needs.

Su Bai then checked the quality and quantity of the spiritual fruits. He had bought Tier 3 mid-level spiritual plants and fruits with a market price of at least 3,000,000 yuan per piece.

While he was checking the items, Zhou Ling’an looked at the fluffy and snowy-white cub and could not help but move to touch it.

“Howl! ( ̄へ ̄)” Do not touch me, or else I will bite you!

Purple Jade raised its head high and stared at the girl, refusing to be touched casually.

“This girl is rather fierce.”

Laughing, Zhou Ling’an clapped her hands, but before she could finish talking, the cub jumped onto her and slammed her to the snow.

“Jade, don’t mess around.”

Su Bai noticed the situation and quickly raised his head in warning.

He then quickly pulled the girl up and said apologetically, “I’m really sorry; my pet’s a little naughty.”

“It’s okay. Maybe she wants to touch my 36D chest.”

Zhou Ling’an laughed and patted down the snow on her body.

Su Bai: “…”

Why did she get such fascinating self-confidence from? She was obviously flat-chested.

“By the way, the goods are okay, right?” she asked.

“Yes, thanks a lot.” He nodded. The girl’s delivery speed was indeed very fast.

“Haha! Go ahead and find me the next time you need more stuff. Bye-bye now.”

She climbed back onto the Silver Unicorn, waved her hand, and flew away.

“Let’s go. Don’t be too naughty next time, okay?” Su Bai caressed the cub’s head as he admonished it.

“Howl! ( ̄へ ̄)” It’s her who wanted to touch me and even called me fierce. It’s not my fault!

Purple Jade raised its head indignantly and refused to admit its mistake.

“Then why did you touch her chest? Don’t think that I didn’t notice that you did that on purpose.” Su Bai glared at his pet.

“Howl…” Erm… I read in a book that female humans’ chests are very soft, so I wanna give it a try.

The cub lowered its head embarrassedly, looking sideways at its owner.

Su Bai: “… Don’t do that next time, or else others will think that I’m not teaching you well.”

“Howl! (๑oั╰╯oั๑)” Okay, but I can touch Sister Ruoxue’s chest since she’s not a stranger, right?

The cub acted coquettish.

Su Bai: “…”
