Chapter 96 Six Eyed Child
The female spirit crawled on the floor, her hair messy, her body bloody. She stared at Ye Shaoyang, and the whites of her eyes expanded, which made her pupils disappear. Her mouth gaped open, and she displayed her two rows of sharp canines. Yellow pus dripped from the corner of her mouth.
“You might scare girls with your appearance. Maybe, you can even scare someone to death if you’re lucky. But your tactics won’t work on me.” Ye Shaoyang smiled and walked confidently toward her.
The female spirit felt shocked; why was this kid not afraid of her? Not only did he not run, he actually walked toward her. This sight angered her, so the female spirit let out a shriek and leaped toward Ye Shaoyang. Unfazed, Ye Shaoyang reached for some copper beads from his belt, which he threw at the female spirit. Immediately, he shot down the female spirit, and she crashed on the floor. She let out cries of pain, as the struck areas emitted white fumes. Now, the female spirit realized that this person was not easy to handle. She saw the closest exit, a window, and swiftly shot in that direction.
“You’re gonna run away after you tried to scare me?” Ye Shaoyang reached for some more copper beads and threw them. He struck the female spirit down. He quickly approached it, as he held his wooden sword and put it right beneath the spirit’s neck. With one hand on his waist, he asked in a cocky tone, “Do you still want to continue?”
The female spirit laid on the floor, as it trembled in fear.
Since her true form had been revealed, the control she exerted on the door through her cultivation was also lost. Xie Yuqing, still traumatized, stood outside the door and peeped in. Ye Shaoyang looked at the female spirit and asked in a cold manner, “Where did you come from? And why did you attack me? Tell me the truth, or I, a Heavenly Master, will make sure you suffer.”

Also, since I’ve already destroyed your husband’s corpse, there is no reason for you to stay in the mortal realm anymore. Think about it.”
The female spirit weighed her option and made her decision. She kneeled and said, “Madam Chee, is the temple’s—”
Suddenly, a strange and piercing cry came from the window, which covered the female spirit's later words. Ye Shaoyang turned his head to the window and saw a flash of a dark shadow. The shadow entered through the window and sped toward Xie Yuqing. Ye Shaoyang immediately turned to strike it with his peach wood sword. But the shadow moved quick. It flipped, swiped the wooden sword away, and appeared above the female spirit. Before Ye Shaoyang could even react to this situation, that thing had already struck the female spirit’s Gui Men point. The female spirit let out a scream that slowly faded away, as her body became countless wisps of primordial spirit.
That thing stood up and turned to give Ye Shaoyang a cold and hateful stare. After that, it shot out the window and disappeared. Due to the small size of the window, Ye Shaoyang could not catch up to it. He stood still, his expression stern. He realized the seriousness of this incident. As the wisps of primordial spirit dispersed from the room, he let out a sigh. Xie Yuqing came to her senses and quickly ran toward Ye Shaoyang. She held her arm and nervously asked, “What...what was that thing?”
“A Six Eyed Child…” Ye Shaoyang muttered. That thing had left a deep impression on Ye Shaoyang with only one look. The short figure had the size of a child, not taller than a five year old. It had a skinny body, but its head was disproportionately elongated. Moreover, it wore a sinister expression. But the most memorable aspect was its big bloodshot eyes, which stared at him with killing intent. Another two pairs of closed eyes were situated above those big red ones.
“A Six Eyed Child, a half-undead, half-specter being. These creatures are made through the cruelest methods. Do...you want to listen to it?” Ye Shaoyang looked at Xie Yuqing and asked in a hesitant manner.
Xie Yuqing nodded bravely and said, “Let’s go somewhere else to talk.”
Ye Shaoyang checked through the morgue and found no more problems. He followed Xie Yuqing out to the security room. Xie Yuqing chased off the two security personnel. Then, she poured a cup of hot water and passed it to Ye Shaoyang, “Here, this will help clear the alcohol.”
“It’s fine. I’m more awake than I’ve ever been.” Despite his words, he still took the cup and drank some. He took off his left sock, as he wanted to check the wound, which currently leaked black blood.
“This…” Xie Yuqing nervously asked, “Are you okay?”
“It’s fine. I won’t turn into a zombie anytime soon.”
Ye Shaoyang poured some water onto the wound. Then, he scattered some glutinous rice flour on it. After he finished that, he pulled his sock back up and began to describe the process of creating a Six Eyed Child.
“The Six Eyed Child was a popular evil craft among the southern Gong Tao and the Miao Jiang Gu craft practisers. The method of creation is rather cruel. First, they have to find a baby that belongs to the element of earth of the Five Elements. Additionally, this baby has to have a Yin body. They would feed them blood once daily until the child reaches five years old. Then, they would skin them and use a soul binding technique to fix their souls in their skinless body….”
Ye Shaoyang took another sip of water and continued, “At the same time, they would find thirty-three kids of the same age, put them into a big mortar, and mash them up with a big pestle. Then, they place the end product in a large vessel, together with the skin of the special child. Next, they use a special technique to seal up the vessel and wait for 49 days. After that, they take out the skin and stuff in Cuscuta.
“When that is all done, they would use their own blood to activate it and turn it into a creature that they can control. As the name implies, this creature has six eyes. When two pairs of its eyes are opened, its power is equivalent to a supreme spirit or an undead king. If all its eyes open up, it could instantly kill an average sorcerer.”
