Chapter 214 Undead Aboard 1
Tan Xiaohui was shocked. She asked Ye Shaoyang to look the other way and took out a dried up flower petal. She put it in her mouth, chewed it a chew, spat it out, and made it into a ball in her hand. After a few seconds, the white chewed-up flower ball became black and emitted a rotten scent.

Xiao Ma was scared as there could be a dead person acting as a living person. The scenario gave him the creeps.
“Little Ye, who is it?”
“I’m not sure,” Ye Shaoyang said, “There are too many people on here. Since the air is pretty still, it’s very hard to pinpoint who it is.”
Tan Xiaohui said, “That’s not right. We’ve already been on the bus for a few hours. Why didn’t we detect the Undead Qi earlier?”
Ye Shaoyang smirked and said, “That’s because it didn’t get on at the beginning.”
“It didn’t? But we didn’t stop and rest-- Ah!” Tan Xiaohui exclaimed, “It was just now when those people got off to investigate. It must have come on board then!”
Ye Shaoyang nodded because that was the only possibility.
The three of them looked around and scanned all the passengers. However, there wasn’t anyone that looked out of the norm. The majority of the other passengers were either sleeping or playing on their phones.
Chills went up Xiao Ma’s back. Even though he had followed Ye Shaoyang for so long and saw many spirits and disgusting things.
It was different this time because of not knowing who it was, and Ye Shaoyang having trouble pinpointing the exact source of the Undead Qi. This sense of insecurity was definitely not the norm.
“It probably used its spirit to attract our attention just now,” Ye Shaoyang guessed, “get the bus driver to stop the bus and allow its corpse to get on. However, I’m not sure why it has done this.”
“I know the reason,” Tan Xiaohui looked at him nervously, “There were stories at my place, but they were rare. They called this ‘corpse returning’. Sometimes, when a person dies in a foreign land, he or she may worry that their corpse may not return home. That’s why the spirit will try to get their corpse to leave and get home. Some will get on buses, some on ships.”
Ye Shaoyang nodded as he had also heard similar stories. Since spirits had some degree of intelligence, they knew how to use public transport. As such, they would guide their body back home.
Tan Xiaohui looked out the window worried, “But I have heard that when an undead gets onto a bus, other spirits who have died in foreign places get jealous. Since their bodies have rotted, they have no way to get home. When they see this, they will get angry and try to kill everyone on board.”
It was well known that some bus accidents were caused by incidents such as this. That was why most of the bus drivers knew that, no matter who tried to stop the bus to never stop.
Xiao Ma said in a low voice, “If that’s the case, I feel bad for the spirit since it only wants to get home.”
“But we can’t be on the same bus with it, or else, we might get killed. We’re driving up a mountain. This is dangerous,” Tan Xiaohui said and looked at Ye Shaoyang, “Can you pinpoint where the undead is, Brother Shaoyang?”
Just as Ye Shaoyang opened his mouth, a woman in red appeared right in the middle of the road. She walked slowly toward the bus. The bus driver honked the horn, but the woman didn’t react.
This time not only did the driver see this, everyone else saw the woman too.
“Hey, move out of the way!” the driver shouted. The woman was going to get hit, but she still walked slowly in the middle of the road. That’s when the driver thought of stopping the bus and scolding the woman.
When Ye Shaoyang saw this, he quickly went up to the driver and told him, “Just drive!”
The driver looked back and saw a rather handsome young man, “Just drive? Are you crazy?”
Ye Shaoyang quickly stuck a talisman paper on the roof and created a barrier to block spirits from entering and exiting.
“That’s a spirit, not a human, so it’s fine if you hit her,” Ye Shaoyang told the driver calmly as he pat his shoulder to reassure him.
The driver was dumbfounded by the situation. He wasn’t sure whether the lady was mad, or if this handsome young man was mad.
Suddenly, for no reason, the woman in red stopped. Just as the bus got close, the driver, who did not dare hit her, slammed on the brakes and stopped the bus right in front of her.
The woman in red turned her head and revealed her face. Her ‘face’ was white and devoid of features. No eyes, no nose, and no lips.
“What the f*ck?” The driver screamed. All the passengers who saw this screamed too. The whole bus panicked. Ye Shaoyang saw this as an opportunity and quickly observed who was abnormal.
When he turned back to look at the woman in red, she was no more. She had disappeared!
The driver was relieved, but that did not last. Out of nowhere, another woman in red sprung up in front of the bus. It was actually the previous woman, a spirit. She raised her hands and climbed onto the windshield.
Her skinny, bony hands knocked on the windshield, trying to break it. At the same time, a mouth appeared on the face of the woman. Her mouth opened and licked the windshield. The knocking and squeaky sounds from the knocking and licking made everyone jump out from their seats.
“Ah!” Almost everyone in the bus screamed and panicked.
“Open the door!” Ye Shaoyang ordered.
The driver who was scared out of his mind didn’t even hear what Ye Shaoyang said. As he didn’t want this to drag on, Ye Shaoyang quickly opened a window and jumped out.
