Increasing Strength
Ji Li could feel that the black spirit in his body had been stirred by his emotional break down moments ago. When he looked at the wild Blue bird sitting at the top of the tree, his brain unconsciously attacked the bird’s brain using the black spirit, Ji Lie felt some urge to do such things. And as he was thinking of squashing the wild bird in his own hands, he heard the screams of wild bird. He had certainly influenced the bird with an unknown force of his own. [tl: the birds are a pest and are actually bad for the tribes crops….so it isn’t as dark as it seems, XD]
“It seems like the spirit together, with his boosted mental capacity would be able to launch subconscious attacks on the enemy’s brain. But due to the human brain being much more powerful, I won’t be able to affect humans, not at my current level anyway. The human brain would not be as easy as this birds brain, so it would be very difficult to make any such impact on a human.” Ji Li watched as the wild bird struggle on the ground for a long time, but soon flew up into the sky in horror. After scanning this new mystical ability and absorbing it into his body, he could feel that his Qi was increasing in strength, even he felt confident that he would be able to breakthrough to the Warrior realm soon [tl: mid tier strength]. This way, he wont have anything to fear of Ji Chu, nor would he be threatened by that absolute power as he would be able to protect himself against it.
“The hunting party? I’d like to see if there is anything for me in joining them.” Ji Li tried several times to push his Qi to the limit, to allow himself to break through, but found out that his mental force was still insufficient, but he was still particularly energetic, with the discovery of his new mental attack. This increased his self confidence quite a bit.
In addition, his conviction that this powerful mental attack should not be used lightly to attack the enemy’s brain, if this attack were to be discovered it could cause his isolation or banishment from the tribe as he is of foreign origin, he didn’t know enough about the world, so he had to tread carfully.

“The resources in the Fire Bird tribe can be mine for the taking as long as I break through into the Warrior realm before the age of 16, this would make me eligible to get promoted into the inner branch of the tribe. I have to work hard to breakthrough as soon as possible.” Ji Li thought secretly.
He doesn’t want to be standing behind Ji Yuzhu all his life, he wanted to be the one protecting her.
Both the inner and outer branch of the tribe were in strife, for now he doesn’t have the power to remove this division. The chief of the tribe was just too strong of an opponent for now, he owns most of the resources and most of the martial arts and books. He has all he needs to stand at the pinnacle of the Fire Bird Tribe .
As soon as possible he had to enter the inner branch!
Ji Li soon established his immediate goal. For now he couldn’t let Ji Yuzhu get too far away, even if Ji Yunzhu was a great distance away, protecting the person closest to would be a smarter reality.
“I have seven days before the deadline to report to the hunting party, I have to reach the Warrior realm to prevent their schemes.” Suddenly, in Ji Li’s mind images flashed.
Now that he didn’t feel tired, he got up from bed and began to practice in his room.

Ji Li was left the house by his mysterious Aunt, since he was the only one who lived here it was very spacious enough, enough to practice his martial skills with no distractions.
HO HO HO –
Punch after punch was sent out, sometimes they were as fierce as a tiger, sometimes they were as solid and stable as a mountain, and sometimes they were as fast as an Eagle flapping, every punch was overbearing, mighty and forceful.
After practicing his ‘Three Styles of Fist’ martial art, he began to practice his Eagle Tiger double-kick, it was said to imitate the action of a Tiger pouncing and an Eagle diving these two martial arts were some of the most difficult to practice within the shared martial arts, practicing both of these skills to the peak would allow for an increase in 50% of the users strength. But it was virtually impossible to break through to the peak in order to have such power.
Ji Li had reached the border of 8th stage for the three styles of fist technique, which allowed him to increase his strength by 40%. An he broke through to the 7th stage of the Tiger and Eagle double kick, which increased his strength by 35% when performing this technique. But like all techniques using these martial arts required a lot of his Qi to be used.
In fact, when Ji Yunzhu was still in the Fire Bird tribe, both of them had studied these techniques, he and Ji Yunzhu were both intelligent people, they combined their heads and created strong understandings towards these techniques, they mutually learnt these martial skills [tl: I think this means what one learnt the other would be told and learn the same] At the time, they had reached a level of understanding in both techniques that even the tribe chief couldn’t reach.
Just because Ji Li was injured, and his lapse of three years before returning to the Mortal realm 8th, he was about to break through into the 8th level of the tiger eagle double kick.
In this way, he already knew he was close to breaking through. So he practised over and over again, Ji Li could feel he was getting closer and closer, the day turned into night and as the sun was rising on the following day he broke through.
He was now at the 8th realm in both the ‘Three Styles of Fist’ and the ‘Tiger Eagle Double kick’. Ji Li didn’t have time to be happy as he continued to practice to solidify his knowledge and understanding in both techniques.
The seven day dead line was soon approaching, one would be disciplined if they didn’t immediately report to the hunting team, after being asked to do so.
On the morning of the designated day, Ji Li was still putting in efforts towards training in his House, he was honing his weapons skills.
The light from the Sun was shining through the window, he had now solidified his strength in both techniques as well as his weapon play. His movements were all smooth, and his body’s muscle and bone coordination was reaching a very high level. Even the effects of his injuries three years ago, were beginning to subside, and his body seemed to have grown increasingly stronger.
It was all thanks to the mystical black energy hidden within his Dantian.
He had absorbed less than one thousandth, and it had already had big benefits for his Qi and mental capacity.
He was also curious as to the origin of this black energy, but he did not think to much of this.
“Okay!” Ji Li stopped his training. “After seven days of practice, I finally solidified my position in both techniques, and I have also become comparably close to breaking through into the Warrior realm. After breaking through to the Warrior realm your bodies strength and defence increase at a much faster rate, by the time I break through is very possible that Ji Chu reached a level of 2000 jin, and I wont be a match for him.”
Thinking of this, he looked at the sky, opened the door and prepared go Ji Chu reported.
