Nonetheless, the auctioneer was quite satisfied with today’s auction. The items were sold at prices that exceeded his expectations, including this last bottle of Gold Transformation Jade Liquid. Eight thousand White Jade Crystals was considered a good price for the product. After all, Wu Cang City was not a big city, and there were no decent large sects around it.
Just when the auctioneer thought the bid was over, a youthful, calm voice rang out: “Ten thousand White Jade Crystals.”
‘Him again?’ The auctioneer looked at the young man in bewilderment. This young man had been surprising him during the entire auction. Every time the auction came to a standstill, he would always hear his voice call out. It could be said that the success of today’s auction had much to do with him, and his voice was music to the auctioneer’s ears.
The auctioneer was a little puzzled at the young man’s unfamiliar face though. What were his origins, to be able to make such bids? Why hadn’t he heard of such a person around here before? Could he be a disciple of a big sect from another region? If so, why would he come to a small place like Wu Cang City?
The young man in question was actually Jiang Wuhen. Ditching his usual prideful airs, he seemed very steady and calm.
He didn’t want to be in the limelight, but before he left, Su Yizhi had told him that the visit to the sects was nearing and he should get all the gifts as soon as possible. As long as there was a suitable gift, money was not a problem. Of course, Su Yizhi knew it was important to not reveal their wealth and told him to keep a low profile, but since the beginning of the auction, he seemed to have caught everyone’s attention with his purchases.
Seeing the curious look of the auctioneer and the jealous glares of suspicion of the people around him, Jiang Wuhen felt helpless. He had offended quite a number of people in today’s auction by buying the items they wanted, or by making them pay a lot more for the item if they did win the bid.

Eventually, he realized that he shouldn’t piss off the others too much, and gave it up. Although his intentions weren’t bad, those that had spent more to win their bids still hated him.
“Ten thousand White Jade Crystals! Will anyone increase the bid?” The auctioneer bellowed again with excitement, but this time the excitement was real. It was a good price for the Gold Transformation Jade Liquid, and the auction could finally come to a successful close as he had hoped for.
“Ten thousand White Jade Crystals… where could this person have come from?” After a short silence, there were whispers amongst the crowd. Everyone was curious about Jiang Wuhen’s origins.
In the corner, the middle-aged man who had bid eight thousand White Jade Crystals was livid, and he slammed a fist on the table, staring at Jiang Wuhen hatefully. However, in the end, he did not raise his bid.
The auctioneer yelled twice again, and when no one increased the bid, he ended the bidding.
After paying the crystals and storing away the auctioned items, Jiang Wuhen didn’t linger around and immediately left the Feng Yan Union.
