Zhen Ye leaped to his paws and looked at Huangfu Qingjue angrily. Of course he couldn’t tell Huangfu Qingjue the same thing he had told Xiao Rou and Big Dark Face; if Huangfu Qingjue heard about him wanting to ambush Ling Chuxi for revenge, he would probably be smashed into meat paste right on the spot.
“Do you think I want to?! I was injured and forced to return to my original form. After that, I was picked up by Ling Chuxi, and she healed me. I stayed by her side to return her favor, obviously!” Zhen Ye boomed righteously. “Do you think that this young master is an ungrateful person? “Really?” Huangfu Qingjue’s purple eyes narrowed as he looked at Zhen Ye menacingly.

Huangfu Qingjue frowned and dropped Zhen Ye to the ground. Looking at Zhen Ye covered in dust and dirt, Huangfu Qingjue slowly said, “You may stay by Chuxi’s side until your injuries have healed, but once you have recovered, you must leave immediately.” Huangfu Qingjue had checked Zhen Ye’s meridians and found that he was indeed badly injured and had yet to recover, so he allowed him to stay. The most important thing was that Zhen Ye did not have any hostile intent towards Ling Chuxi, and that was also why Huangfu Qingjue had allowed him to stay.
Huangfu Qingjue turned around to leave, but suddenly thought of something and stopped. Zhen Ye shuddered, and meekly went to sleep by the foot of the bed.
Zhen Ye shrank into the covers, feeling miserable. ‘Huangfu Qingjue, you wicked being, you actually dare bully those younger and weaker than you! Just you wait and see—there will surely come a day when the tables will turn and this young master will bully you instead! Count on it!’ Zhen Ye clenched his little paws, determination burning in his heart.
The next day, Ling Chuxi got out of bed, washed up, and then had breakfast like usual. However, she now brought Little White and Little Red along with her. After the meal, she took Duan Xiaomo to the sea of flowers to cultivate.
Ling Chuxi and Duan Xiaomo were cultivating nearby as Little White lazed amongst the flowers, quietly watching them. Little Red, on the other hand, had his four paws up in the sky as he laid on a huge rock, sunning his little tummy.
