Chapter 229 - Capturing Alive
Above the bustling Yanglai County City, a large gap stood between Qin Yun and the ten-foot-tall mysterious great fiendish demon. Yin Lihuo flew over in the form of a flame before he stopped a distance away and did not approach any closer.
"He's that great fiendish demon." Yin Lihuo recognized at a glance and could not help but become agitated. "Daoist Qin does indeed have extraordinary means. He was able to find the great fiendish demon the moment he took action. Since the demon is blocked, he's doomed."
"I'm asking you a question."
Qin Yun looked at the mysterious demon with interest. "Although there are many demons in this world, they usually leave traces. "Why do you care what lineage I'm from?" The demon stared coldly at Qin Yun. "Qin Yun, don't you humans have very good relations with the Heavenly Demon Palace? You don’t kill demons without good reason, isn't that so? Although I cultivate in the fiendcelestial Dharmic formulations, I have not committed atrocities towards humans. Qin Yun, you wouldn't target… a demon that doesn't wantonly kill humans… would you?"
"Naturally, I will not kill good demons." Qin Yun nodded. "But you have already taken the lives of hundreds of people in a matter of days."
"Almost all that I have killed were people from the Ximen family. I have a feud with them, can't I seek my revenge? Is that your business?" shouted the mysterious demon.
"You say you have a feud with them? If other great fiendish demons were to commit atrocities and say that it was only because they were enemies, isn't that too convenient an excuse?" Qin Yun shook his head. "Tell me clearly, how and when did the Ximen family enter this feud with you?"
The demon was stumped.
He was at a loss for words.
"Qin Yun, I have no interest in being your enemy. Don't force me." The demon stared at Qin Yun. "This is Yanglai County City. There are many people in the city and if we really fight it out, I do not know how many humans would die along with me."
"Hmph, do you think you have what it takes?" A sharp glint flashed in Qin Yun's eyes.

The hovering Seven Kills Sword suddenly moved in the form of a translucent stream of light.
The demon's expression changed immediately. He charged at Qin Yun in the form of a beam in a bid to enter close combat. At the same time, he sent a voice transmission, "Jade Bottle! Jade Bottle! I'll close the distance with Qin Yun, you suck his lifeblood."
"Alright, the closer the better," replied Jade Bottle.

The Seven Kills Sword was already in front of him. The translucent sword beam appeared like a dreamy illusion and in response, the demon brandished a saber to block it. His saber arts were rather profound as they produced a gigantic eight trigram and touched the Seven Kills Sword! Qin Yun pricked up his brows in astonishment. "This saber art is quite interesting. It seems to resemble Daoist methodologies." With a command, the Seven Kills Sword became unpredictable. With a whoosh, it made contact with the demon's saber flash and easily diverted the strength away, cleaving straight into the demon's shoulder. An arm covered in scales flew out.
"Ah!" The demon cried out in pain.
"No good, I can't close in on him. Be it my Dharmic powers, realm, or Dharma treasures, none of them are comparable." The demon was feeling extremely nervous when he realized the situation he was in.
"Go!"
The demon gritted his teeth.
The two curved horns on his head flew out, transforming into two black beams. They cleaved at Qin Yun like sabers.
"Swoosh!"
Qin Yun gently pointed his finger and two flying swords easily wrapped around the two curved horns like fingers. The two curved horns stopped in midair, completely bound by the flying swords.
"This move is quite interesting," said Qin Yun with a nod.
"What, it was that easily taken down?" The demon felt despair. He thought himself a bug that was trapped in a spider's web, with no way to escape despite his desperate struggles. "Jade Bottle, did you manage to suck his lifeblood?"
"How am I to suck it when we are so far away? Such an existence requires me to be as close as possible. It would be best if you can touch him. Right now, we are a hundred feet away. There's no way to suck," said Jade Bottle through a voice transmission.
When the demon heard that, he turned and transformed into a stream of light to escape.
At the same time, he bellowed angrily, "Qin Yun, don't force me. If you push me… I'll make countless mortals of Yanglai County City perish with me."
"Such overestimation of your abilities." A cold glint flashed in Qin Yun's eyes.
The distant Seven Kills Sword instantly disassembled into seven flying swords.
One of the flying swords turned and cast Cyclic Sword Flash! The gigantic spherical sword flash barrier trapped the demon.
Cyclic Sword Flash could protect against external attacks from enemies.

"At least I have obtained my revenge." At that moment, the demon had accepted his impending death.
"This fool! I previously told him to hide as far away from Qin Yun as possible and not court death. But he refused to listen. He's just too prone to insanity," grumbled Jade Bottle secretly. "Great, now he is going to die under Qin Yun's hand. Whatever, so what if he dies? As long as I keep quiet, I can pretend to be an ordinary treasure. Qin Yun would not be able to figure out what I am."

Qin Yun looked at the demon and frowned. "His Fiendbody is rather strong. I'm not adept at Sealing Spells, and typical Dharma spells can't seal him. Capturing him alive will be a little troublesome."

"A human?" Qin Yun never imagined that the great fiendish demon from before would turn into a human after having his Dharmic powers sealed.
He immediately understood. He had previously encountered Gongye Bing before after all! Gongye Bing was a human that cultivated in the fiendcelestial lineage.
"You are human, yet you cultivate in the fiendcelestial Dharmic formulations." Qin Yun shook his head but his gaze turned colder. Qin Yun's killing intent for such betrayers of the human race was even stronger.

The distant Yin Lihuo flew over with reddened eyes. He said angrily, "Junior Brother Yu, I never expected it to be you! We have been searching for you for a long time. Finally, the heavens have shone their light, allowing Daoist Qin to capture you today."
