Chapter 311 Beheading Tactic (3)
The guards stared at Zhou Qingfeng coldly as he walked along the corridor. At the end of the corridor, McGrady was waiting in front of an oak door. When he saw Zhou Qingfeng, he smiled and said politely, "Mr. Hugo, Commander Carnell is waiting for you."
Right now, Zhou Qingfeng looked confident and natural. Even though he was alone in the enemy's base with no weapon, he was not afraid at all.
The oak door opened and a luxurious and magnificent elliptical office appeared. Behind the huge office desk, Commander Carnell was laughing happily. The two guards he got from Zhou Qingfeng were standing behind him while the four Korean maids were standing around him. There were two armed soldiers standing at each corner of the room.
"Mr. Hugo, my best friend. Please have a seat, I was just talking to someone else about you. You're the reason the Strategy Committee is this strong." Commander Carnell was very happy. He waved his hand and a couch was pushed in front of Zhou Qingfeng.
The scene was a little similar to the scene in the movie, 'Lord of War', where Nicholas Cage traded with the African rebel forces. A luxurious location, an arrogant leader, sexy mistresses, and indifferent armed soldiers.
Zhou Qingfeng looked at the couch in front of him and gave the guard a weird look. He sneered and said, "Commander Carnell, this place is way too depressing, you'll be freaking out soon if you stay down here for too long."
Commander Carnell frowned upon what Zhou Qingfeng said. Very quickly, he laughed. "Well, I don't really have a choice. Those goddamn Americans out there are trying to get rid of me every day. "But, I trust you, Mr. Hugo. Come, take a seat. Let's talk about settling the details regarding our trade. The Cuban North American Strategy Committee is going to rebuild a country. As long as you fulfill what I need, you'll be treated well."
"That sounds really good."
Zhou Qingfeng did not take a seat. He was still walking and checking out the office. Soon, he found out that it was not just the two armed soldiers at each corner, both sides of the room also had secret doors. Also, there were four more armed soldiers standing behind Carnell.
It would be impossible for Zhou Qingfeng to escape unless he killed all the armed soldiers. After all, his body was not able to withstand bullets. Zhou Qingfeng thought, You're really afraid of death, aren't you?
Zhou Qingfeng came near to one of the female guards. She was a little nervous when he got closer. He put his hand out, grabbed her military bra and laughed, "You have been wearing this for a few days, your new owner really likes them, huh?"
Carnell's face immediately turned serious when he saw that Zhou Qingfeng was touching his woman's breast. He said coldly, "Mr. Hugo, please behave yourself. I'm trying to have a serious conversation here about our trade."
Zhou Qingfeng continued to sneer. Meanwhile, a guard came out from one of the secret doors, came to Carnell, and whispered to him. Carnell was shocked and immediately glared at Zhou Qingfeng.
"Mr. Hugo, we found out that you killed one of my men in the hotel and it's reported by his mate that the Polarlys Legion has a secret plan for destruction. Can you give me an explanation about this?"
"An explanation? What do you mean by that?" Zhou Qingfeng walked further away from Carnell. He was trying to get a pistol from one of the guards.
"Victor Hugo."
Commander Carnell was triggered by Zhou Qingfeng's attitude. He punched the table and snapped, "You're gonna be clear about your situation. This is my place, my office. Everything is under my control. Now, sit down and explain to me what's going on."
All of a sudden, the entire office was filled with tension. Two of the female guards and the four maids were shocked; they had no idea what was going on. The armed soldiers behind the secret doors were warned and eight soldiers at the corners of the office lifted their rifles. Two of them walked and approached Zhou Qingfeng's back, put their hands on Zhou Qingfeng's shoulder and shouted, "Mr. Hugo, the Commander demands you have a seat."
"What if I don't sit?" Zhou Qingfeng turned his head subtly to confirm the locations of the two soldiers.
At this moment, the office underneath the town hall started to vibrate. The stuff on the table started to move. Everyone in the office was shocked. Carnell looked at the ceiling, then glared at Zhou Qingfeng and snapped, "What the hell was that?"
What else could it be? The fighter aircraft from the Enclave was testing the bombs and the laser-guided artillery shells were launched. For the past few days, Clooney from the Enclave had already understood the internal structure and important locations of the Strategy Committee.
The beheading tactic was now in progress.
Two of the armed soldiers should not have gotten closer to Zhou Qingfeng, it was no different than suicide. During the vibration, Zhou Qingfeng remained still but his hands reached for both of the armed soldiers. They were being sent away.
With the vibration, the two armed guards both weighed more than a hundred kilograms when lifted. Their throats and backbones were instantly crushed. Their bodies were thrown in front of Zhou Qingfeng; both of them died on spot.
The entire scene lasted only around two seconds. As soon as Zhou Qingfeng moved, Carnell immediately realized the danger. He quickly hid under the table and shouted to the other guards, "Kill him!"
There were six other guards standing around the office. They were holding rifles and aiming at Zhou Qingfeng before this. When they saw Zhou Qingfeng move, they were going to fire at Zhou Qingfeng.
However, there was no one in the world who could beat Zhou Qingfeng's agility and speed. He grabbed a P226 pistol from one of the dead guards. He released the pistol safe with one finger and activated 'As quick as lightning'.
The P226 pistol was not as fast and powerful as the rifles. However, it was extremely deadly and powerful in Zhou Qingfeng's hands. During the one extra second he gained, Zhou Qingfeng fired and killed three of the guards. Following that, he rolled and avoided the attack from the other side.
Dhak! Dhak! Dhak! The office was covered with the sound of firing bullets. Carnell was confident that Zhou Qingfeng would be dead after the gunshot because it was eight of his men versus just Zhou Qingfeng. He moved his head slightly and saw an unbelievable scene. His men were losing.
"Damn it, eight of you can't even kill one man. Are you all stupid?" Carnell shouted. While Zhou Qingfeng was dodging the bullets, he quickly picked up a rifle and started to fire in the direction of Carnell. The bullet rain ruined and destroyed his table. "F*cking hell, get me out of here!"
The other four guards who were firing at Zhou Qingfeng immediately grabbed Commander Carnell out of the office through the secret door.
Chapter 312 Beheading Tactic (4)
The bullets burst in an instant. All the guards were killed within seconds. The huge office was big enough for Zhou Qingfeng to move around. The armed soldiers could not react to his quick and swift movements.
At the same time, Ellie and Eileen were in the waiting room. The moment Enclave initiated the attack, both of them immediately rushed towards Zhou Qingfeng. They were Zhou Qingfeng's guards and they were young. Thus, they were allowed to keep their weapons. Eileen grabbed two of the M18A1 Claymore anti-personnel mines.
When the attack happened, the entire town hall was alerted. When one of the guards saw the Claymore mine, he snapped, "Freeze! Put your hands up!"
Before he could do anything, a shadow rushed out of the waiting room. It was DogMeat which had traveled at more than a hundred kilometers per hour. It reached the target in the blink of an eye and opened its mouth to bite.
The Cuban guard quickly pulled the trigger. However, it backfired. The guard panicked and took a few steps backward. When he caught his breath, half of his pistol was already bitten off by DogMeat. DogMeat then jumped on him and scratched the guard's neck.
Ellie and Eileen installed the Claymore mine directly at the entrance of the town hall. Both of them ignored DogMeat's massacre. They installed the mine and connected it with a wire to the waiting room. Then, the wire was connected to an M57 initiator.
DogMeat was armed with heavy armor, it did not take long to kill all the guards near the entrance of the town hall. Meanwhile, a large amount of guards outside the town hall were alerted and they rushed towards the town hall. When DogMeat saw the crowd of guards coming, it immediately ran back to Ellie and Eileen.
Eileen stared at the entrance of the town hall. As soon as she saw the guards reaching the entrance, she quickly ran to hide behind the wall of the waiting room and shouted, "Go!"
Both of them held their breaths and Ellie pressed the button on the initiator. The Claymore mine was activated through the wire.
The mine was set off. More than seven hundred round bullets were spread out in the shape of a fan. Its area of effect covered all the targets within fifty meters.
The highly-packed bullets instantly killed all the guards coming into the town hall. Their bodies were blown onto the wall and fell to the ground. All their bones broke.
Smoke was coming out of the town hall, the entire entrance of the town hall was destroyed. The walls and the ceiling shattered. Decorations hanging on the ceiling fell to the ground. The entire scene was a mess.
The entrance of the town hall was covered by the blood of guards. The guards who were behind the ones who were killed were shocked. They were stunned. They could only stare at the devastating scene.
"There are mines at the entrance. Get the armored vehicles here. The rest of you, go through the window. Break all the windows. Hurry up!" As soon as one of the Cuban officers regathered all the guards, an artillery shell was dropped directly on him. The 81-mm mortar shell was powerful. The Cuban officer was instantly killed.
On top of a building three hundred meters away from the town hall, the seventh action group was firing at the mortar. As it was very far away from the town hall, none of the Cubans knew there was a mortar on top of that building.
The leader of the seventh action group, Li Cha, was observing everything from a digital telescope and commanded, "One mil to the right, three rapid fire."
Three mortar shells were fired and all the Cuban guards were devastated. One of the mortar shells hit one of the armored vehicles' engine directly. The armed vehicle could not withstand the power of mortar. The vehicle exploded and the entire vehicle and its turret were sent off into the sky.
At the same time, Li Cha's son, Silva, was operating the M107A2 sniper next to him. It was positioned on a tripod to reduce its recoil power. It was equipped with a 10x white light scope and silencer. The accuracy of the sniper was maximized while the sound and its recoil were minimized.
Bang! A bullet was fired from the sniper. The bullet traveled and went through the building opposite. The Cuban sniper behind the wall was killed. Following that, another bullet was fired and the observer was not spared.
With the tripod that significantly reduced the recoil, Silva was able to handle the sniper easily. Silva was only ten-years-old and the M107A2 was like a toy in his hand. The .45 caliber could even penetrate through the normal armored vehicle easily.
Mines, mortar, and snipers were operating at the same time. The defence system allocated by the Strategy Committee was completely ruined. Under Li Cha's command, the 81mm mortar shell had a huge effect. None of the Cuban guards could survive once they were hit.
Outside the town hall, it was filled with smog, smoke, corpses, and the broken pieces of armored vehicles. The rest of the Cuban guards had no choice but to withdraw from the frontline and regather their forces. They realized they were facing a really strong enemy. If they want to save Commander Carnell in the town hall, they have to eliminate the mortar three hundred meters away from them first.
"Sir, they found us! The Cubans are coming up," one of the seventh action group members reported to Li Cha. They were trapped.
Li Cha looked at his watch and found out that they held up for one and a half minute more than he had expected. The initial plan was achieved. He turned around and commanded to his men, "Demolish the sixteenth floor."
Meanwhile, there were more than a hundred Cuban guards coming towards the rooftop. They tried to use the escalator but it was already destroyed. Thus, they used the staircase. As soon as they arrived on the sixteenth floor, the bomb blew them away.
The entire building shook; smoke and flare came out of the sixteenth floor. The first batch of armed soldiers were all gone. After a few moments of silence, the rest of the Cubans continued to go upstairs. However, the entire sixteenth floor was ruined. They had to find a ladder to get up.
Meanwhile, on the sea fifty nautical miles away from Miami, the Vulture on the large cargo ship was departing. Five of the Bell-Boeing V22 Osprey were military aircraft and one of them was equipped with a heavy machine gun.
There was another AC-130U heavily armed gunship equipped with a 105mm cannon that was ready to roll with the Vulture.
