Chapter 159 Midnight Hijack
Fang Ruhu never worried about the people he provoked. Or, to put it in other words, he never thought of them. The reason he was the most powerful man in the district was because of his ruthless and overbearing brother. The moment his brother went missing, he started to panic.
The first thing Fang Ruhu thought about was that it could be revenge from the underground gang and he had to react as quickly as possible to show his power. Otherwise, he will not be able to stand and survive in the future.
After that, he had another thought. He thought someone knew all the bad things he did and his brother was arrested by the commission for disciplinary action. He had been bothered by these two possibilities since he was cut in the throat.
And now, Fang Ruhu did not need to worry anymore because he saw Zhou Qingfeng!
There were three or four nurses surrounding Fang Ruhu as they wheeled Fang Ruhu out of the operating theater. They were going to wheel Fang Ruhu back to his room for further recovery and observation. Zhou Qingfeng immediately stood up once he saw Fang Ruhu. He secretly followed them.
Fang Ruhu’s throat was covered with a thick gauze by a fixed bracket. There were not any tubes like the ones on Mox to help him with breathing and receiving nutrients. It meant that Fang Ruhu’s throat transplant was already completed; he was already using an artificial throat.
Fang Ruhu’s anesthetic effect was fading and he should be in deep sleep at the moment. However, he sensed danger while he was in a daze. He then opened his eyes and looked around. He wanted to talk but he could not make a sound as he just had throat surgery. One of the nurses reminded him, “Sir, don’t try to make any sounds, please stay quiet.”
However, Fang Ruhu could not stay calm. He saw Zhou Qingfeng wearing a mask and he walked past the bed. Nobody would recognize Zhou Qingfeng but his face has been on Fang Ruhu’s mind for two days. Before the surgery, Fang Ruhu even suspected that Zhou Qingfeng was the one who tried to kill him.
Right now, Fang Ruhu confirmed that it was related to Zhou Qingfeng. He has to alert the police, he has to struggle to escape, he has to ask for help.
Fang Ruhu suddenly started to struggle and move his body. He tried to scream but only an unclear voice came out. The nurses around him started to panic.
“Sir, please don’t move. You’ve just come out of surgery and you’re still recovering. You need to stay calm.”
“Sir, what happened? You can’t simply move!”
“Help! The patient is losing control!”
Zhou Qingfeng could not get closer as Fang Ruhu was alert and agitated. He could only walk away and wait for another chance. Another few nurses came once the nurses shouted, they tried to calm Fang Ruhu down.
Fang Ruhu was relieved when Zhou Qingfeng left. He held tightly on one of the nurses’ hand as if he was holding on for dear life.
Fang Ruhu was pretty sure that Zhou Qingfeng was there to kill him. However, he could not speak. He just tried to stay with the nurses. It would be even better if the nurses called the police to protect him.
Fang Ruhu used all his strength and tried to draw on one of the nurse’s palm. That nurse looked at what he was drawing for a moment and asked, “110? You want to call the police?”
Fang Ruhu could not move at all as there was a fixed bracket on his throat. He could only wink his eyes to express his thought. The nurse said, “Sir, you thought you were being attacked? You’re safe now, you’re in the hospital.”
It took only a few simple movements from Zhou Qingfeng for Fang Ruhu to start shivering. He continued to write and draw ‘110’ on the nurse’s palm. Unfortunately, the nurse did not understand at all. She comforted him, wheeled him in front of a lift, and was going to send him back to his room.
In front of the lift, once again, Fang Ruhu saw Zhou Qingfeng. Zhou Qingfeng’s eyes were filled with ice - calm and cold. His eyes looked like they were laughing at Fang Ruhu’s struggle before death.
Fang Ruhu was agitated and he even tried to stand up from the stretcher. The nurses simply restricted his moves with the safety belt to prevent him from moving and hurting himself.
Finally, Fang Ruhu could only howl on the stretcher. Tears of anger came out from the corner of his eyes. The nurses around him felt puzzled by that hopeless and depressed voice.
“What’s wrong with him? Is he crazy?”
“I don’t know, this is the first time I’ve seen people struggle to move right after the surgery.”
“Should we call the police? He kept writing ‘110’ on my hand.”
“Call the police, and then? Watch him go crazy?”
“Whatever, I’ll call the police now. It seems like he really wants us to call the police.”
Fang Ruhu howled happily once he heard that one of the nurses in the lift was willing to call the police. That made the nurses realize that Fang Ruhu was not crazy. He still had a clear mind.
The lift outside the operating theater was for patients and Zhou Qingfeng did not manage to get into the lift. He glanced at the jumping numbers on the lift and quickly ran towards the stairs. He went from the operating theater on the seventh floor up to the nineteenth floor.
Zhou Qingfeng planned to bring Fang Ruhu away when they were on their way out of the operating theater. However, Fang Ruhu was alert and the nurses were very responsible. He had missed the chance. Thus, he quickly ran towards Fang Ruhu’s room.
However, night visits were prohibited in the hospital. Moreover, there were professional security guards in the hospital, Zhou Qingfeng could only withdraw from the room. He knew that he was running out of time because he saw the scene where Fang Ruhu wrote ‘110’ on one of the nurse’s hand. He will fail the mission if the nurse called the police in time.

Zhou Qingfeng returned to the staircase. He opened the window and looked outside. It was the nineteenth floor which was more than sixty meters from the ground. Even a double strengthened body would be gone if it fell from such a height. Despite that, he climbed out of the building without hesitation.
Nobody would realize that someone was hanging on the building from the nineteenth floor in the middle of the night. Zhou Qingfeng remembered the number of Fang Ruhu’s room and he was familiar with the emergency routes of the hospital. With his courage and brute force, he precisely located Fang Ruhu’s room.
In the room, the few nurses promised Fang Ruhu that they would call the police and left. One of the nurses stayed to help him with intravenous injection and told him to rest earlier. She then leaned against the bed and rested.
Fang Ruhu felt a lot safer as there was someone guarding beside him. He heaved a long sigh. He could not wait to recover and send Zhou Qingfeng to jail. No…., it’s not enough to just send him to jail. I’m going to settle some unpaid bills with him before that. The young woman who refused to tell the truth and the old lady who helped him - they’re all doomed.
Fang Ruhu was drained and exhausted. He was going to fall asleep, but, all of a sudden, he heard a cracking sound coming from the window. He was shocked and the noise woke him up. He could not move his head but he could imagine someone was pulling the rail of the window off.
Argh……. Fang Ruhu howled again. However, the nurse beside him was sleeping very soundly. There was no reaction from her at all.
After the crack, Zhou Qingfeng came in through the window. He was smiling at Fang Ruhu with a hideous expression.
After a few minutes, the police arrived in Fang Ruhu’s room after they received the call. They woke the nurse who was sleeping soundly beside the bed up and asked, “Where’s Commissioner Fang?”
“Errr…., he’s on the bed!” The little nurse, who was on the shift, raised her head. The moment she raised her head, she was astonished and screamed, “Huh…., where is he?”
