Chapter 154        Are You Kidding with Me!

When it came to communicating with others, interpersonal skills had always been the most important element.

When it came to flirting with a lady face-to-face, all one had to do was to make her happy.

However, when it came to flirting with two ladies at the same time—that, for all men, would require some serious skills.

Zhou Qingfeng knew that if they talked about their life or families, the whole conversation would turn tedious. Therefore, they could only talk about their hobbies and interests. If he could somehow gain their trust, he could then begin to talk dirty…. Every single man would be interested in those kinds of topics. However, he was with faced two ladies simultaneously, and so talking dirty was extremely inappropriate.

Zhou Qingfeng grumbled in silence, What the hell is wrong with Aunty Zhang? Did she really introduce two ladies to me at once? She must’ve been out of her mind!

All right then, challenge accepted. Two ladies at the same time? So be it! Even though the difficulty has increased exponentially, I’ll flirt with them until they’re sexually aroused.

NTZ-49's boost for intelligence had been reflected in Zhou Qingfeng's body. His memory had become extraordinarily sharp, and he could now recall everything that he had heard or seen before in the past. Since they were in a cafe, he decided to begin their conversation on the topic of coffee and pastries.

Zhou Qingfeng’s keen observation and perception skills had also greatly enhanced his ability to communicate with others. His several jokes about food and coffee had achieved quite a good result because he was able to successfully break the ice with the two ladies.

Chill conversations were usually pleasing, and Zhou Qingfeng felt comfortable talking and chatting with them. After the tense life in Wasteland and the encounters with several difficulties when he returned to his original world, he could finally relax by conversing with two good-looking and polite ladies. The vicious current that had accumulated in his heart all this time could finally be relieved with a pleasant chat.

Zhou Qingfeng felt that the more mature Feng Wan was a much better chat partner for him, as she constantly made witty remarks while talking to him, never stopped smiling, and most importantly, she had a good chemistry with him

When they talked about the topic of love, Feng Wan, who worked as a newspaper editor, naturally recited a Shakespeare sonnet in English. However, she was apologetic afterward, as she knew that not a lot of people would know, let alone understand Shakespeare's sonnet.

However, Zhou Qingfeng, who possessed the ‘Universal Language’ ability, not only understood what she said—he could even recite the entire poem using his extraordinary memory.

“When my love swears that she is made of truth,

“I do believe her, though I know she lies.”

What’s classy? One’s classy when he can do something no one else can!

Feng Wan was completely infatuated with Zhou Qingfeng after listening to his recitation. She felt satisfied as if she was drinking cold water in the middle of summer. She no longer cared about her surroundings, as she only stared at Zhou Qingfeng’s tranquil smile and immersed herself in his deep emotions. She really seemed to have reached the seventh heaven.

Although Feng Wan still wished to continue listening to Zhou Qingfeng’s recitation, she was soon forced to return to reality. Nowadays, there were only a number of people who maintained an interest in classic English literature, let alone being capable of reciting them in such a high standard. She eagerly asked, "How is it possible? There’s someone who actually knows Shakespeare's poetry?"

Shakespeare’s literature was too old, to an extent where it was now out of touch with the current society. To illustrate, it was difficult for the foreigners, who had learned modern Chinese, to directly understand ancient Chinese literature. Equivalently, it was difficult for the Chinese people, who had studied modern English, to understand and recite classic English poetry.

“Perhaps I’m just good at memorizing stuff.” Zhou Qingfeng smiled, but he did not bother to explain too much.

“No, it’s not!” Feng Wan was an editor, and she obviously was not an idiot as well. “There’s no way you could recite it in such a high standard if you’re only good at memorizing. You clearly understand the context of this poem. This should be something that one can only do once he’s a master of classical literature.”

As a well-educated woman, Feng Wan initially preferred to select men with high academic qualifications as her partner. She only agreed to meet with Zhou Qingfeng as he was strongly recommended by Aunty Zhang.

However, once she had met him in the flesh, she was fully satisfied. He was young, muscular and handsome. Feng Wan hoped to find herself a lover, and so she did not care if the man was younger than her.

Meanwhile, Zhou Qingfeng’s ability to memorize and recite the sonnet had completely titillated Feng Wan. She was totally impressed by the young man. After all, a man who could satisfy his partner both mentally and physically was someone every woman can only dream of.

"I'm afraid that you’ll be disappointed, as I’ve only graduated from high school." Zhou Qingfeng did not intend to hide the truth about his qualifications. In fact, there was no need for him to hide them anyway.

O-Only—But still pfff…!

Xu Rong, who was sitting at the other side of the table, choked on her coffee. The young mother who brought a child alongside her was obviously shocked by his low academic achievement. When Zhou Qingfeng saw this scene, he immediately realized that Aunty Zhang had only mentioned his merits when she introduced him to the two ladies.

Oh dear…. This was the reason why Zhou Qingfeng hated blind dating. His academic achievement was obviously his biggest shortcoming, and as expected, Xu Rong exclaimed while carrying the child in her arms, “You’ve only graduated from high school?!”

Zhou Qingfeng instantly knew that he no longer needed to waste his time and energy on Xu Rong when he saw her shocked expression. He had been chatting with Feng Wan for over an hour, and he was enjoying the conversation. However, Xu Rong only listened to them for the entire time. Even when she finally spoke, she just questioned Zhou Qingfeng’s background.

Where do you work at?

What’s your earning per month?

What kind of family members do you have?

Do you have either a house or a car?

I guess she’s just yet another typical gold-digger then!

As mentioned before, the whole conversation would become tedious if they were to talk about their life or families, and it just so happened that Xu Rong had done the exact same thing. She was also a lot less mature when compared to Feng Wan. Moreover, probably due to recently giving birth to a child, she still had some belly fat with her.

“Yes, indeed, I’ve always wanted to work after my graduation, but unfortunately, I’m still unemployed even up to this day. My earning too is simply abysmal, and I only got some money recently. My house is very old, and my car too… well, I do have a car now, but it’s completely worn-out. In fact, it’s only a Pika.”

Xu Rong could no longer bear with Zhou Qingfeng after hearing what he said. He did not have a lot of money or a house. Although he had a car with him, a Pika was a mere industrial car in the eyes of a female. For them, a Pika could not be even considered a car.

However, Zhou Qingfeng’s Mercedes-Benz Pika was actually much more expensive than a premium sedan. In fact, his Pika was worth more than few million yuan. Unfortunately, Xu Rong would never know about it as Zhou Qingfeng did not plan to explain it to her.

“You’ll be fine. You’re still young and academic qualifications shouldn’t be too big of a deal in these days anyway. Judging by your understanding of classic literature, you may be able to become a good translator,” Feng Wan tried to comfort him. She was still charmed with his previous recitation. She then lightly tapped the table. “Let us continue with our poetry recitation, shall we? I really enjoy listening to your recitation. Your voice is very attractive, and you’re the only one whom I’ve met so far who could actually convey the meaning of the poem.”

All of a sudden, Xu Rong’s mobile phone rang. She picked the phone up and turned around before answering it. It seemed that she was either complaining or giving advice to someone. Zhou QIngfeng thought to himself, It seems that this lady will be leaving soon! It’s good for her to leave anyway, as Feng Wan’s temperament and appearance suit my tastes better.

However, the whole incident then took a 180-degree turn. After Xu Rong put her phone down, she suddenly laughed and said, “Little Zhou, I’m actually here only to represent one of my friend’s daughters. The girl sitting over there is the real Xu Rong. She’s only eighteen years old and is now a freshman at Tianyang Normal College.

“The little girl has never had a boyfriend. Hence, she’s quite shy. I only agreed to attend this blind date on behalf of her because she said that she was afraid of meeting with bad guys. However, she’s quite satisfied with you. Look, she‘s sitting right behind you. ”

Zhou Qingfeng threw a glance at the ‘fake’ Xu Rong. He then turned his head around and saw the ‘real’ Xu Rong—a tall and innocent-looking girl with a naive smile on her face. She wore a simple white dress, yet she held herself in a uniquely elegant and graceful way. She looked shy, but a youthful vitality shone through her temperament.

“Nice to meet you, my name is Xu Rong. You looked so handsome when you were reciting the poem, and I’m quite fond of it. Let us get to know each other more, shall we?” The young lady was smiling with closed lips. Although she was very elegant, she took the initiative to reach out to him.

Zhou Qingfeng was dumbfounded once again. There’s a pretty lady peeping on me from behind, are you kidding with me?!
