We head back to town after we received the reward from the guild. The interview date written in the letter of recommendation is three days from now. Let’s finish the thing we should do before then.
I divide the 50 gold coins in half, 4 of us gets the half while Amyl gets the other half. It’s really hard to convince those two as they keep on saying we should divide them equally.

Since we just returned from the dungeon, today will be a holiday for us. Us four people separated from Amyl and Lelena. We head toward the capital city’s contract place for the first time. Right next to the capital city’s contract place is the slave market, so I can see slaves of various races and ages put in the cage.

A foolish question, Claire. But I only tightened my grip more. When I look, Diabell showed a slight painful expression every times the slave crest shines. Diabell said so while smiling at me. You’re allowed to be free, so you don’t even need to go ahead and be my slave.
Next is Shallie’s turn. As she’s going to have a hard time living by herself, I plan to take care of her until she became an adult. I’ll let her decide by herself what’s she’s going to do afterwards. Since other people might occasionally insist on her property rights if she was freed, I decided to re-contract her the same way as Diabell.

I’m really worried about the future of this kid at the moment. I need to educate her properly so that she would not follow a person she doesn’t know.

For now we need new protective gears for both Diabell and Shallie, also 2 used daggers because they’re good at it. We don’t have a lot of budget because of Amyl’s wedding present.。
Both of their gears need to be made of leatehr just like us. Diabell choose a red colored leather armor. It seems to be made from Great Red Bear which is a variant species of the Gray Bear. While it has the strength, it is also light. The lightness is important for the back attacker as they won’t be able to escape in an emergency if they can’t move quickly. This cost 6 gold coins.
Although next is Shallie’s armor, this is going to be a bit hard. Anyway, there’s no equipment that suits her size. The armor maker would never think that a little girl would be an adventurer too. When the clerk desperately search the warehouse, the leather armor produced in small quantities for the dwarf group in the old days came out.
There’s nothing that stands out for the equipment as it is not dyed. However I could sense a little bit of magic power in it. Just like my sword, it would give some kind of abilities, although unknown. This one just cost 1 gold coin as it was just at a stock clearing value. We got lucky.
Next we go to the weapon floor. Some adventurers are taking various weapons and examined them closely. There’s no soldier nor merchants among them. Is it only for private use and not for investment? Anyway, the business looks good.
For Diabell’s weapon, a dagger is no good, and the long sword is no good either. It’s a sword of average length. It’s a sword that doesn’t have any decorations at all, a boorish sword without any characteristics. However, it had a stable center of gravity as well as being able to swing it easily. It’s a simple but wonderful sword. Is this made by a skilled craftsman somewhere? I decided to buy it as Diabell seems to like it. 5 gold coins.
Next is Shallie. In size, dagger for us will become a long sword for Shallie. Therefore, at first I chose the weapon that is easy for her to use. She choose a short sword. It’s a sword slightly bigger than a knife. She chose two of them, dual-wield style.
At first I worried whether she could handle it, but she could handles them pretty well as her affinity is good. Her movement doesn’t seems to be slower than the time when she used the dagger. Lets buy these. But still, she had an unexpected talent for dual-wield. This child might become a master swordsman that will leave her name in the history in the future. Although it was 2 gold and 8 silver coins for one, as the clerk admired Shallie who showed her splendid skill, I managed to get 2 of them at 5 gold coins.
Next is for Claire and me. I take out the leather armor with hole for repair, and decided to buy a new armor as I could now equip iron breastplate. The shield could still be used without any trouble, but the sword had become a little bit dull and need some sharpening.
Since Claire was hardly injured, her armor doesn’t need to be repair. The bowstring is replaced with a new one, and I also bought a few bundles of arrows with a slightly better arrowheads than the one used so far. All of these cost 4 gold coins.
Although our funds decreased considerably, it’s an amount that we could quickly earned for us who are Gold-rank. Then tomorrow will be the special training for Amyl’s interview.
