Instantly, a series of gunfire and screams rang through the bar. In the inter-lattice of these two sounds, Marley could be heard chuckling as he walked to the bar's entrance, "You son of a b*tch, 'Mad Dog', don't you know who you've crossed yesterday night? I will repay the humiliation you have given me one thousand times over! Ye, you ready? I believe it's about time for you to shine!"

Noticing the Demon Hunter who had removed the safety on the T2 Rifles, the Black Market Dealer patted Ye Qi on his shoulder lightly before surreptitiously moving to hide behind the protection of the young Demon Hunter.

Ye Qi smiled at the man's antics.

"Marley, wait here!"

Ye Qi waved goodbye at the Black Market Dealer and walked into the bar. As he stepped over the threshold, the sound of gunfire amplified. To protect himself from stray bullets, Ye Qi bend over and crawled deeper into the bar through the obstacle course that was formed by the toppled furniture.

'Mad Dog's men who was surprised by the sudden assault littered the floor. A few of them were still gasping for their last few breaths of air. Ignoring their cries for help, Ye Qi sought his way deeper into the establishment—Since they had signed up for this lifestyle, they should have expected as much. Ye Qi might have saved them if they were normal citizens caught in the crossfire but these people knew what they were getting into.

A gunfight was happening in the bar's dance hall. A few of 'Mad Dog's men held fort behind the bar counter. As they fired at Marley's men, they yelled provokingly, "You bunch of damnable sons of b*tches! Just wait, boss has gone to get help. Your death is coming soon!"

Even through the continuous gunfire, Ye Qi who had just found his way there heard the taunts clearly. He signalled at one of the bodyguards who was leading the gunners and tossed a 72 Grenade at the counter. The grenade arced through the air and as Ye Qi expected, landed right behind the counter.

The grenade exploded as it hit the floor. The bar counter was ruined from the blast. The furniture and people caught in the blast were lifted off into the air and punctured by the shrapnel inside the grenade.

With one well-timed explosion, Ye Qi took out almost half of 'Mad Dog's men. The five gunners who survived the ordeal could not help but sigh in relief and their hard faces relaxed. Even the two bodyguards working for Marley sighed under their breaths.

However, Ye Qi knew it was not yet time to relax. A C+ Quest would not be so easily solved. Furthermore, 'Mad Dog's men did say he was going to seek help.

Suddenly the door from the dance hall to the individual private rooms were shoved open. The few gunners who barely had the time to catch their breath aimed their gun at the entrance and fired away. However, other than a sofa, there was nothing else behind the door.

"Stop, everyone step back!"

Ye Qi looked at the few shadows that slowly stepped out of the door with a drawn expression and he knew this was the real test—His gaze swept the few "people" who stood at the front before zeroing on the "person" who came out last. This "person" was standing in the shadow so Ye Qi could not get a good look of his face. However, this "person" radiated a presence that made the Demon Hunter's breath catch at his throat. His sweaty palm and numb scalp was telling him this particular individual was extremely dangerous.

With a roar, blood started to rain in the dance hall. Limbs were torn apart like they were made of paper. The five people rushed into the surviving crowd, gnashing their fangs.

"Blood Dolls? These are the aid 'Mad Dog' went to call? I expected better!" Ye Qi cocked his gun and started to fire.

The sound of T2 rifle's continuous gunfire bounced off the walls of the dance hall. Ye Qi who was familiar with the Blood Doll's weakness aimed at their heads.

Three of the Blood Dolls who reacted too slowly had their heads punctured immediately by the 0.35 Magnum cartridge bullet. Blood mixed with brain matter exploded in mid-air, dying the walls behind them red. The remaining two Blood Dolls were lucky enough to evade Ye Qi's bullets. They charged at him, roaring, "Such a menial race dares to come after the glorious Blood Race? You shall pay with your life!"

Ye Qi tossed his emptied rifle at the two Blood Dolls charging at him. It knocked the breath out of one of the Blood Dolls. Ye Qi then pulled out the Demon Hunter's Sword—the magical short sword given to him by John when he went on his first Blood Doll hunting quest and charged at the other Blood Doll who was still standing.

The Blood Doll who had steel-like claws and incredible regenerative power was not afraid of normal weapon, therefore, he did not back down even when Ye Qi was coming at him with a knife.

He would come to regret that decision—As the sword sliced his chest, a pool of white smoke evaporated from his wound. Following the sound of sizzling like something being fried, the Blood Doll shuddered spasmodically before crumbling to the floor. Ye Qi kicked the dead Blood Doll away and spat with derision, "You have the audacity to assert yourself as part of the Blood Race? You're nothing but a 'half-product' without any claim to Blood Race's nobility!"

"Demon Hunter! You're part of the Demon Hunter Guild!"

The last remaining Blood Doll roared angrily at Ye Qi—the hundred years of hatred and blood-filled history between the creatures of Erebus and Demon Hunters was long enough to fill an entire Pacific Ocean.

The Blood Doll charged at Ye Qi again. However, thanks to the lesson by his fallen comrade, instead of charging at Ye Qi directly, he circled continuously around Ye Qi—the demon jumped across the roof and the walls to confuse and disorient the young Demon Hunter. The Blood Doll did not stop at any place for longer than one second, like a leopard toying with his prey, he was waiting for the perfect moment to strike.

"Troublesome!"

After he failed to trick the Blood Doll by purposely exposing his weakness, Ye Qi cursed under his breath. There was a bigger enemy that needed to be dealt with, so he really did not have the time or energy to waste on this Blood Doll.

Ye Qi's eyes followed this Blood Doll that continued to jump all over the room. With the sword in one hand, Ye Qi's other hand sought out the test tube that held the Holy Water from the tool belt around his waist. The Blood Doll, who had no idea what Ye Qi was up to, continued to flit across the room.

When the Blood Doll again dashed past Ye Qi, a splash of golden water went on his face. Then, he started rolling on the floor and screaming from pain like he was just splashed with acid. Ye Qi squatted down to relief him of his pain with a stab through the brain.

The last enemy who had remained in the shadows throughout the battle suddenly started to clap for Ye Qi. His body slowly moved out into the light and out of the shadow's embrace.
