He even added a valuable information for Ye Qi, "Stay behind that human and I guarantee you'll be safe!"

Ye Qi was shocked—the human the weird wolf was referring to was Noah who stood no far away from him! Thinking about the impossible mistake that he made earlier, and now combined with the weird wolf's comment, a thought settled in the young Demon Hunter's mind.

Even though they didn't share a candid relationship, the young Demon Hunter had always been impressed by Noah's fairness. It was why even though they didn't share a friendly relationship, Ye Qi only had good words to say about Noah, however this immediate hypothesis had caused a different thought to bubble up in Ye Qi's mind.
Perhaps his fairness has been nothing but a front in his attempt to pursue greater power all along?
Ye Qi turned his head away and the usual condescending smile was plastered on his face. He didn't come up with more conjecture about Noah, after all, this was not his business. They weren't that close for the young Demon Hunter to care about what he planned to do in his life.

Jacob started attacking the gorgon who was absorbing the power of the altar—when an Erebus creature that was below the level of a Dungeon Lord entered the material world, their power would be decreased, but that could be undone when they finished absorbing the negative energy of the ritual that summoned them.
Therefore, facing against an Erebus demon, one needed to take them down before they could achieve full recovery—this was the first lesson any Demon Hunter had to learn.
The bullets from Sandalwood was so powerful that even against the gorgon, it still created quite sizeable damage. Two bullet holes the size of a size's thumb appeared on the serpent's body. Even though the wound was small compared to the total size of the creature that was more than 9 feet, it was enough to anger the six-armed gorgon.
Despite its imposing size, the six-armed gorgon was incredibly fast. In just the blink of an eyes, the gorgon had slithered to Jacob's side and her six arms started slashing at the Demon Hunter, creating a wall of blades closing in on Jacob. Her serpentine tail had coiled around her target, giving Jacob no chance to escape. It was obvious that the gorgon was more familiar with close-quarter combat.
The wall of blades did no damage to Jacob, the blanket shots from Ivory were faster than the gorgon's blades. The Apostles in the group also started casting their spells at the enemy. Various seals of paralysis, gravity, mental shock started appearing around the gorgon, inhibiting her movement.
Bear's Endurance! Increase Resistance! Mage's Armour! Berserk!
After a moment's hesitation, Ye Qi glanced at the six-armed gorgon and with gritted teeth casted his level 4 spell, Stone Skin!
Even with Bear Endurance's support, four consecutive spells still took quite a toll out of Ye Qi. He felt like a great boulder was sitting on top of his chest, giving him difficulty in breathing. After casting the level 4 spell, he felt that boulder had grown into a mountain, trying to press the last breath he had out of his body.

Within the magical light that was observable only to Ye Qi, he monitored his breathing before dashing full speed at six-armed gorgon.

The gorgon's upper body was completely covered by the many different seals, only parts of her serpentine tail was still visible. However, from the speed of the creature's slithering tail, everyone knew the six-armed gorgon wasn't really harmed, she was merely inhibited!
Therefore, rushing forward was practically a death wish!
As Ye Qi's friends yelled his name, the young Demon Hunter approached the six-armed gorgon and he unsheathed Agni.
Agni slashed through air, creating a buzzing. The blade parted the multiple seals surrounding the gorgon and headed right for the creature's waist.
Six swords appeared before Agni, their blades blocking Agni's tip. However, the swords failed to block the wind slash that was created by Agni when Ye Qi unsheathed it!
The raging winds cut through the serpent's fair skin, creating crimson lines of blood.
The serpent cursed in Erebus language and she counter-attacked. One sword fell behind another as they all headed for the young Demon Hunter. The blades became like a meat grinder signifying the gorgon's rage. However, Ye Qi didn't show any sign of fear. Instead using the various support magic on him, Agni slipped through the wall of blades like a salmon swimming upstream, heading for the gorgon's weakness.
The clashing of six swords and one blade caused sparks to fly all over the place. Sound of metals clashing echoed through the hall. Ye Qi's friends, Noah, Jacob and everyone present were shocked.
