"What are you people doing in here?" Hank demanded loudly as the group of people swarmed into his tent, but when he saw the familiar face of the large bloke at the back of the group, his heart sank. "You… you're… Mr. Darien?"

"Ringmaster Hank, if I were you, I wouldn't reach for that gun on your belt," Tatum drawled as he placed his dagger on the man's neck. He then reached out to grab the bags of Gold Doubloons and pistol attached to the ringmaster's waist. "We'll be taking these as murder weapon and evidence!"

"Wait, you can't do that…"

Hank immediately wailed for help, but before he could get a note out, Tatum knocked the ringmaster on the back of his neck. After tossing the fainted man to the corner of the tent, he turned to his friends and said, "We'll leave the interrogation to the experts from Tower of Thorns, we've done our part, let's wait for Ye to return and we'll see what we're supposed to do next!"

"Will Ye be okay on his own…" Darien and A Wa looked to Tatum with worry but before they could finish, Tatum cut them off. "Ye will be fine! He's the strongest among us after all!"

The Cavalry Captain stood to the side quietly with her palms together before her chest, praying…

Ye Qi with Greater Invisibility tailed the horse carriage from a safe distance. After noticing Hank had gotten out of the carriage, Ye Qi had his friends take care of the ringmaster while he volunteered to continue following the carriage. Ever since the assault from three nights ago, Ye Qi had been incredibly curious about the identity of this Apostle-level assassin! In the three days of waiting, the young Demon Hunter had racked his mind trying to come up with a hypothesis but he got nothing; they had too few clues. Therefore, when this opportunity presented itself, Ye Qi snatched it by the horns! Even if he might get exposed, Ye Qi had to know who this mysterious assassin was!

After all, the strongest of tigers was less dangerous than the snake hiding in the darkness!

The carriage continued to move into Summer Crinkle's countryside. Eventually, it stopped when it reached a countryside manor. Ye Qi, who watched the carriage ride into the manor, started to frown.

As mentioned earlier, the price of real estate at Summer Crinkle was exceptionally high due to its status as a famous tourist spot. Only big families or royalty could own a manor in Summer Crinkle. Even though Ye Qi was not familiar with that world, the young Demon Hunter did know a thing or two about the owner of this manor because the placard at the gate read, Dirk Family Manor…

It was really the Dirk family! Jacob was right, the world was really not lacking in crazies!

Ye Qi's confusion was answered but he didn't feel one bit happy—the craziness of the Dirk family had exceeded his expectation. They would risk extermination to take revenge against him alone! This went to show the level of their hatred against him…

Perfect, then I'll just make them die, steeped in their own hatred!

Ye Qi's lips curved into a cruel smile—Ye Qi would not show mercy to these people because they not only threatened him but also the innocent people around him!

Ye Qi glanced at the manor before him with a cold eye. However, he suddenly turned to leave—he was not crazy enough to think he could take on a whole manor of lackeys and killers alone. Ye Qi was not as crazy as these people! Furthermore, he had a question in his mind that needed answering.

Now we have concrete proof, Jacob, what are you going to do?

Ye Qi raised his eyes to look at the six towers that stood tall in the distance. Then, he hugged his dark windbreaker close to his body and disappeared into the night.

The summer night, a rare fog started to billow through Summer Crinkle. The fog swallowed up the whole town, giving the place an air of mystery. Instead of deterring the tourist crowd, the fog pulled them all out into the streets because many wanted to capture this natural anomaly with their cameras.

In fact, most were not satisfied with a digital picture. They hired the artist at the Summer Crinkle Square to draw a portrait of them in the fog.

At the other end of town, Hank Circus was preparing to make their way out of town shrouded by this unusual fog. Ringmaster Hank stood beside the big top with his expression drawn. His expression was no different from normal, but his crew knew instinctively that he was not in a good mood, so they lowered their heads and focused on their packing quietly.

"We depart now!"

With the order from Hank, they all packed-up circus crew started to move towards Summer Crinkle's train station. There they would take the train to leave Summer Crinkle and change into their prepared vehicles at the next city.

At the train station, Hank ordered his crew to drop the luggage into the designated cabins and had the cages carrying the animals move into the special cabin at the end of the train—even if they were animals tamed by the circus, normal passengers would still be hesitant to share a seat with tigers and lions, so Hank Circus had to spend extra to hire an extra cabin to house these animals whenever they came to and departed from Summer Crinkle.

The crew who were used to this got into the train as Hank wandered off to pay the bills. After everyone left, instead of walking to the counter, Hank walked to the cages which housed the animals and opened them quietly. After a moment, the cages were silently closed and Hank locked them all up again…

The Demon Hunters who were gathered at the clock tower above the train station smirked—is there a greater feeling than knowing your prey has walked right into your trap?

With a whistle, the train started to move, carrying hundreds of satisfied tourists away from Summer Crinkle.

After the train exited the town area, the last cabin suddenly detached itself from the rest of the train! The cabin that housed the circus animals stood alone on the tracks. The passengers on the train were not privy to this development; they were still busily and happily sharing the interesting things that they had seen at Summer Crinkle.
