Soojiki’s note: Enjoy! 2/6. Btw really dislike how author use that big 〇. Though I understand the reason for it, it makes guessing the meaning harder…

Author’s note:

================
That’s like man〇mu time.

Ha? What was that, you say? No thanks to any witty comments!

I made coffee(pseudo) after getting exhausted of my home industry

There’s not much work needed nor is there an unlikeable boss I have. I’ll do what I like, when I want! Hooray to a slow life!

It’s the spring season and in come the mild breezes. It’s enough to make me sleep if I were to lay down.

And just as I was just about to relinquish my conscience to the dreaming sleep, Sapull called out

“Anchan, it’s a Watari Dragon!”

An? As I looked up with my eye’s half asleep, I could see seven dragons in a V shape coming in our direction.

It’s either because I was brought up around mother nature, or as a result of my body, my vision is as good or better than the Masai of the previous world.

“……..Oh yea, it’s about that time I guess ~……..”

These dragons migrate here during spring from the southern continent. Though they may look carnivorous, their staple food consists of macrophyte (aquatic weed) and foliage, making them herbivories’. It’s a mystery as to why they’re weak with hot weather.

Just north of here, about 200 kilometers, is a gigantic lake that could be seen on the other side (the hottest it can get there is around 30 degrees) as they would pass by here. When it’s mid Autumn, they would then return to their home in the southern continent.

The Watari dragons formation slowly came closer.

And just as they were almost passing by, one separated from the group and came to us.

Toota’s mouth opened in surprise as he saw this. Meanwhile, Sapull face became delighted as if seeing an old friend, since she as already seen such scene when she was four years old.

It spreads its wings as it skillfully landed.

“Kururururr”

The Watari dragon, the size of an average fighter jet, hummed as cutely as it could.

“It’s been a long time Rukuku!”

I didn’t name it. The other owner gave its name as that.

Intelligent as a dolphin, it understood my words [It’s been awhile indeed~ Have you been well?] or the feeling it gave off I translated into my head.

“Yea, I’ve been fine. Is Lars doing good too?”

Rukuku turned towards it’s back hearing that question.

There contained a huge leather satchel that could probably fit two people, carried upon Rukuku’s back.

“I guess so. ……Even if these months go by”

I took down the leather satchel.

“You must be strong if you often lug this heavy thing around?! You sure you’re alright?”

Just cause I can carry 5 tons doesn’t mean I don’t feel the weight of it at all. I can feel and tell if I’m carrying either an egg or a rock too.

“Kuru~! Kuru~!”

[I’m fine, don’t worry bout it. If that’s the case, I carry the same quantity back when it’s about that time to leave home”

“Thanks a lot! I’m thrilled”

It playfully bit me with its mouth, capable of swallowing a human easily.

“Hey now, how long are you going to be playing and making your friends wait for you!? When you have a break sometime, come back and play”

Kuru~Kuru~ as it sung in a lonely tone but began going back towards its flock. If it doesn’t follow the flock, it would eventually be rejected. Its pitiful but it has to return to the flock.

Hyup, as I used a barrier magic directed towards the sky and called out to it

“See you later, Rukuku!”

It somersaulted twice in the air as it regrouped with its flock heading towards the lake, it’s its way of responding back.

Waiting til I can no longer see it in view, a sigh leaked out as I turned towards the leather satchel.

Interested in the leather satchel more than Rukuku, the two young’uns began opening the satchel

“You guys sure are greedy”

Traveling such a long distance with the Watari dragons, one can not simply just open it. Those two can easily do so, while adults would have a hard time with removing the fastener.

“He really sent a lot of things this time now”

I smiled wryly as the things just kept coming out.

Lars is the southern continent prince. He’s also my pen-pal.

Why is a Prince a pen-pal of mine, you’d probably ask? It’s your typical ‘romantic’ letter in a bottle thrown in the sea fetched by the Watari dragon and given to the prince, kind of story. How am I that lucky? Probably because I barely understand the alphabet and found that drawing on a wooden board to depict a scene is easier for now and perhaps it’s because of me sending figurines of monsters and beast attached to Rukuku (with barrier magic of course) as a way of showing my sign of friendship.

With that, we annually exchange letters (it’s one of the major powers, as a person who knew my language wrote). Well, with this much overwhelming souvenirs, I have to compromise at some point.

“Ah, there’s a lot of spices~!”

“Is this yellow thing a fruit?”

These brats tilting their heads in astonishment as things from the southern continent continued coming out.

It’s just like that time when an end of the year gift was delivered to our house. While recalling that memory, I took out a wooden box holding the letter and opened the content.

With the spread of paper there (not too shabby of a quality too), the interior of the wooden box overflowed with letters. Well, since it is annually, I shouldn’t be so nitpicky about it. This time there’s a cloth like object tucked inside.

Unfastening the cloth, a black rimmed glasses came out.

“…….There were glasses in this world……”

I put the glasses on while shocked with surprise. I guess I won’t need to worry so much.

There’s no special change. Looking nearby, the letter caught the attention of my eyes as I’m now able to read the ink of the letters.

Ah it doesn’t take Einstein to figure that out, but I don’t want to get angry. The letters were written in the southern continent alphabet. I can somehow read it.

I don’t know the formal name, but apparently it’s a glasses capable of automatic machine translation.

I can imagine it being a certain sea soldier receiving an automatic machine translation necklace.

“Super convenient magic”

My current motto of this world is “Don’t think, feel”.

I mean, come on. If I think about every little detail of this world, I’d be defeated so many times already.

Authors note:
While writing suggestions, this came out on a spur of the moment.

Whether its written good is another thing…..
