Seeing Makitkun wandering aimlessly while presumably looking for a book, I called out to him from behind.

"Good afternoon, Makitkun."

"Hm? Ah, good afternoon Yuuyami-san."

His voice was calm, but Makitkun looked surprised.

Well, wouldn’t it be surprising if anyone heard their name out of the blue?

“Are you looking for something?”

"Eh? No, I'm just wandering around."

"Is that so. I'm doing something similar, I guess."

I hadn't decided on a book to read, so I had free time.

Even if they had the book I wanted in stock, I might read other things if I felt like it.

"Oh yeah, Yuuyami-san. Do you like books?"

I vaguely remembered that it was a question his sister from my previous life would ask.

"Yup, I like them."

"Then, do you want to talk about a good one?"

"That sounds fine. Sure."

It's like I returned to my previous life, strangely.

The other party was the younger brother though.

"Makitkun, you're amazing. It seems like you've practically read all the books that I like."

"Those were pretty much all I've read. I'm also surprised."

However, as expected of siblings, his hobbies were similar to his sister's.

"Well then, can I ask if you've heard of a certain book?"

"I'll tell you if I have."

"This library should have it here, but do you know about 'Paradise of Death and Dreams'?"

"What!?"

Makitkun looked surprised for the second time today.

I wonder if something was wrong.

"W-What's wrong?"

"…No, I haven't seen it here yet, so I was surprised. It's a book I liked in the past."

"Hmm, is that so."

"Well, I still like it now. I borrowed it once and returned it, but I wanted to borrow it again.  That's why I came today, but that book was already being loaned out."

It isn't here today… I felt disappointed, for some reason.

But, liking it means that he should know the what it's about, right?

"So, what was it about?"

"Ah, it was about saving their significant other in the middle of a dream… no, it was a story about being resurrected."

Feeling an odd feeling of discomfort, I asked again since I couldn't really understand from that explanation.

"I still don't quite understand, though?"

"Go read it then."

Why do I feel unwilling when it was put like that~.

It was currently being lent out, so I couldn't even read it if I wanted to.

"Then, what part of that book do you like?"

"Hmm, about that. It's—"

While I was talking to Makitkun, I didn't notice the person just in front of me who interrupted his words.

"Shin-kun, what's this; a date? If so, you should have told your Onee-chan about this."

This person is Makitkun's sister, so…

So, so so, that means…impossible!?

"Y-You're wrong, Kisanee!"

I-It can't be…

"I'm Kisane, Shin-kun's older sister. Nice to meet you!"

I was so surprised that I petrified for the next few minutes after that.

As time passed, I regained my composure and introduced myself to Kisane-san.

"I'm Y-Yuuyami N-N-N-Naru!"

As expected I was nervous and couldn't seem to be able to calm my mind!

Haa~! My face definitely became red~.

"Naru-chan, what a cute name."

Wow~this person looks~super shiny~.

F-First off, let's start from getting along with each other…

"Um..Ummm…! Be friends, nice to meet you!"

I made a mistake~!!

I meant to say "Let's be friends, nice to meet you!"

Also, I felt like I'd lost something.

H-How embarrassing…

"Shin-kun… this kid—"

Uwa~she definitely thinks I'm a really pathetic kid~!!

"—is super cute! I want to make Naru-chan my imouto!"
