She would find out what the woman was up to if she waited for a villager to come and ask them about the situation.

After waiting for about 15 minutes, a young man with two empty wooden buckets arrived.

The man explained, “This woman is Wang Xing’er. She’s from our village, but she returned to her parents’ home a few days ago. She brought her family here today to seek refuge with her in-laws.
“But her father seems to have contracted the epidemic disease. We chased her out of the village not long ago. At noon.”
