MATTHEW COSTELLO'S award-winning work across all media includes groundbreaking TV, novels, nonfiction, and games in both the United States and Europe.
He has scripted and designed dozens of bestselling games including the critically acclaimed The 7th Guest, Doom 3, Just Cause (with Neil Richards), G-Force, and Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End.
His novel Beneath Still Waters was adapted for film and released by Lions Gate. His novel Missing Monday was recently optioned for television. His latest suspense novel, Nowhere, was published by Putnam Books. He also wrote Island of the Skull (Pocket Books), an original prequel to Peter Jackson's film, King Kong, as well as two original novels based on Doom 3, which he scripted. His next novel, from St. Martin's Press, is the post-apocalyptic thriller, Vacation (October 2011). His children's titles include the Scholastic series The Kids of Einstein Elementary and Magic Everywhere (Random House), as well as puzzle and game books.
Matt has consulted and written episodes and created formats for broadcasters worldwide including PBS, The Disney Channel, SyFy, and the BBC, among others. He also speaks to, consults, and mentors transmedia teams around the world. He has not been to Antarctica ... yet.
