Ji Yunting goes to the hospital .
He hasn’t been well lately so he wants to see the doctor and go through a few tests .
If Ah Zhao is here, she will blame him for not taking good care of himself .
His mum hears the news and insists that she go with him .
He sees the doctor, answers a bunch of questions, queues up with his test result and goes to another test . . . which takes him a whole morning .
The result he gets is that he should look after himself, avoid staying up late and exercise more as a young man .
When they are heading back home, his mum suddenly remembers something .
“Right, Zhao Zhao is in this hospital too . Since we are here, let’s go and check on her . ”
That name makes Ji Yunting’s heart flutter . “Who?”
His mum says: “Zhao Zhao, that girl who had a car accident . . . ”
Oh, that girl .
Ji Yunting remembers feeling bad for her .
He accompanies his mum who buys a flower basket and goes to the in-patient department .
That girl Zhao Zhao is in a single room . When they go in, she’s alone . Her family is probably out for some chores .
Ji Yunting glances at her .
The girl who's lying asleep in bed looks innocent and obedient . Her skin pale against her black hair, so pale that she looks like a porcelain doll .
His mum’s phone suddenly rings .
She looks at Ji Yunting and walks outside, talking quietly to her phone in the corridor .
He looks around the room . His eyes stop when he sees a pot of bunting on the windowsill .
Time passes .
“ . . . Ji Yunting?” A strange and frail voice rises .
He returns to his senses . His mum is still on her phone .
He looks at the source of the voice instinctively .
The girl who was sleeping is awake now .
Her pupils are dark . Not knowing why, Ji Yunting feels nervous .
Ah Zhao doesn't know what happened . She remembers a moment ago, she was watching the male lead in his final game . It seemed she was somewhere else when she blacked out .
In front of her stands a man who looks very like the male lead so she calls him without thinking .
However, that man doesn’t respond .
She asks carefully again: “Are you Ji Yunting?”
Where am I? Am I not in the game anymore?
That familiar voice takes Ji Yunting by surprise .
He shudders, his eyes fixed on the girl in front of him .
She seems a bit lost, looking around, as if she’s in a strange world .
Ji Yunting suddenly has an absurd speculation which takes root in his broken heart and gives birth to hope .
He walks to the bed .
Ah Zhao looks at him .
It’s the male lead .
“Didn't I tell you to wait for me, that I would go to you after the final game?” He suddenly says .
Ah Zhao answers: “I don't know what happened . I passed out and now here I am . Well, where is this place anyway?”
He doesn’t answer her question .
Instead, he half kneels down in front of her bed and starts to laugh .
Ah Zhao feels a bit worried: “What’s the matter?”
Ji Yunting shakes his head and looks up again, his eyes full of joy .
“Nothing . I’m so happy . Ah Zhao . . . ”
“Hm?”
“Thank you . ”
Ah Zhao is confused . “?”
“And . . . ”
He straightens up, bending down and kisses her on the lips .
“I love you . ”
