Zhang Manhua knew what it was that her daughter was worried about. Still, the joy of finding their family was greater than their worries.

Zhang Manhua turned her eyes onto the black, knee-length dress. It was embellished with white lace. The small and exquisite ribbon on the back was the brightest ornament of the dress.
It was, in truth, not eye-catching at all, but it accentuated her charisma.
“Thank you, mom. Where are you going for breakfast now?”
“Your step-dad invited me out for breakfast. His driver is already waiting for me downstairs. I need to go now. Remember: I will always be on your side. As long as you want to do it, I will support you unconditionally. Go do it; I trust your abilities.”
“Mom, thank you.”
Pei Ge’s voice cracked. She just knew that her mother would not just let her do anything and everything without a word of concern.
“I, too.”
Ji Ziming suddenly moved closer and whispered this into her ear.
“Go do what you want to do. Be it good or bad, there should be an end to all these. As long as you need my help, I can return to your side.”
Zhang Manhua selected the black, knee-length dress in the end and placed it on the bed. She then chose the best-smelling perfume from the vanity cabinet. It was the present that man had given her last time. He always liked being romantic, giving her unexpected surprises, and bringing her to see his friends and family.
“You don’t need to come over, mom. Just stay there and take very good care of yourself. I’ll take good care of my uncle here, so don’t worry.”
“Okay. Take care of him properly. I’ll return when I have the time. I heard that Qitong and Bi Zheng are getting married. The wedding is going to be held there, isn’t it?”

He looked at her with his deep eyes. In a taunting voice, he said, “Because you said that again today, I will have you accompany me again tonight until I am happy.”

Pei Ge was slightly surprised. It was not that she did not think of the eventual ending with regards to his request, but when it happened in reality, it still surprised her.
When the two returned to her room, they saw the huge building blocks taking up six square meters of space in the room. It had totally taken up the empty space in Pei Ge’s room. There was a small tangerine-shaped lamp atop the house made with building blocks. Perhaps because it had been lit for a long time, much of the candle had already melted. Still, the dim yellow light made one feel warm inside.
“Was this what those two rascals made?”
The man’s voice was clear as he looked at the building blocks in front of him in shock and pride.
“Looks like it is. How is it?”
Pei Ge’s beautiful eyes were also filled with surprise. She looked at the view in front of her with a smile and suddenly recalled the surprise Ran Ran mentioned. It was not only this tangerine-shaped lamp but also these building blocks.
This creation was filled with stuff she and the man liked. It could be seen how much effort the two children had put into making this.
“Go rest by yourself tonight. I’m going to take care of Ran Ran, so I won’t be sleeping with you.”
She walked to the door, thinking that her daughter might be waking up soon.
“If you go to take care of our daughter, then what about me?”
Ji Ziming stood in place, neither pushing nor pulling her. He only nudged his lips at her while making himself look pitiful.
“You still have yourself. Don’t tell me you won’t be able to sleep without me?”
Pei Ge looked at him in exasperation, then said in a heavy voice, “I haven’t slept with Ran Ran in a very long time. Go sleep by yourself tonight. I’ll go take care of our daughter now.”
Right after saying this, she walked out of the door and made her way to her daughter’s room, which was beside hers. When she entered, the three children were sitting on the bed. The two lads were excitedly telling her about what had happened at the dinner table today, causing the little girl to break out into laughter while hugging her tummy.
“You guys…”
This was the scene Pei Ge saw when she opened the door. She could not help but suspect the two children’s motive for building that huge house in her room. What did this have to do with the marriage problem with Ji Ziming that they had mentioned at the end?
“Mommy, why are you here? Have you finished looking at the castle?”
“Castle? Those building blocks—I saw them.”
She nodded, informing them that she had come after seeing the castle. However, before she could say her reason, the three children pulled her back to look at it again.
“Okay, okay, okay. I will go look at it again. Ran Ran, you haven’t recovered yet, so hurry and go back to sleep. I don’t want you to get a cold again.”
Pei Ge helped her daughter back to bed and covered her with the blanket after saying this.
