The car reached the hospital at the fastest speed. When Joe received a call from Pei Ge, he did not leave the hospital. Instead, he hid in an inconspicuous corner with a few security officers, waiting to arrest people.
What they did not expect, though, was that the person chasing after them was none other than Gu Zhengrong.
“Why are you here?!”
Pei Ge stood at the entrance of the hospital and watched the guy alight from his car. Clad in a black suit, he was like a lurking, evil apparition at night.
“I wanted to call you, but you two drove off the moment you saw my car, so I could only chase after you.”
He looked aggrieved, hurt by her open ridicule of him.
“You could’ve called; I’d have answered your call, so why…”
Pei Ge felt uncomfortable because of his action; this had truly made her somber.
Ji Ziming looked coldly at the other man. His position from atop the stairs made him seem like a ruler who was looking down at his subject. If he willed it, he could send this guy straight to prison for harassment. However, with his woman needing this guy’s help to locate her best friend, he gave up such a thought.

Gu Zhengrong stepped forward, and the initial five meters of distance between them became smaller as he looked tauntingly at him.
“I’ll definitely help Pei Ge find her best friend, but as her boyfriend, isn’t it too late to admit that she’s missing now?”

He bluntly stated, eliciting laughter in everyone and causing the other guy to be the focus of those nearby.
“Don’t go overboard!”
Gu Zhengrong was completely antagonized by the man’s statement. If he had a choice, he wished that the person standing beside Pei Ge was him and not this man.
“I didn’t; I won’t bully a person like you. In any case, Pei Ge is my wife, so please stay away from her. Otherwise…”
Ji Ziming’s eyes darkened, causing the latter to feel fearful. “If you don’t, I’ll make your life difficult. In case that you don’t believe me, you can give it a try. Who knows? Maybe I’ll do something beyond your imagination!”

“You have news about her?”
Pei Ge was anxious. If this guy really had news about her best friend, perhaps him stalking them would come to an end.
“Yes.”
Gu Zhengrong’s eyes brightened as he looked at her with a smile. “There’s once when I managed to get through her phone.”
“Did she pick up?”
