"I need to go to the library"
Will sighed as he placed a book back on the shelf in the library in his room. Looking at himself in a copper mirror Will laughed.
His hair became darker by a few times, there were even some slight gold streaks in his hair.
I wonder were these gold streaks came from? Anyways, it's been a long time since I have seen my appearance, it's funny though, I was expecting some gigantic change to my appearance and it's only darker hair and some gold streaks. For some reason I actually feel disappointed.
Flexing his muscles in the palm sized copper mirror, Will grinned.
"At least I am in shape now, it's a nice confidence boost being able to flex some nicely formed muscles"
Looking at the small library in his room Will sighed.
I need to learn more, I guess I have to contact Cecily.
Will left his room and found a maid to contact Cecily after walking around aimlessly for hours, it didn't take much time for Cecily to show up with a curious expression on her face.
"Why did you call me?"
"I would like to visit your library, not for martial arts since they aren't compatible with me anyways"
Asking Cecily about visiting the library, her face took a strange expression when he mentioned going to the library, her face only calmed down when he clarified that it wasn't for martial arts.
"I didn't take you for the scholarly type?"
"I need knowledge in this different world you know?"
"Follow me"
Giving him a curious look, Cecily tried to pry slightly to see what he was looking for. Will's eyes seemed to glow slightly with laughter as he looked at Cecily and gave her an answer that had perfect logic. Not being able to find anything that hinted to hidden intentions she could only lead him to the library.
After a day in the library..
"SO MUCH TO READ!"
Looking at the massive library with it's massive shelves surrounding him from all sides, Will felt like someone should have warned him.
He felt as if he was lied to, the first few rows were all he could see when he came in. It wasn't until after he finished reading the first few rows that he noticed the true size of the library.
One thousand! He's already read one thousand stone tablets, books, and scrolls! Not one thousand of each, just all together, still!
What he read isn't even half of the library!
Rubbing his storage ring between his fingers, it took Will several minutes until something in his mind clicked.
Times ten learning enhancement! Add that to my first learning enhancement potion, that'll probably be a terrifying level of intelligence! I can definitely finish this library in two days after!
With a huge grin on his face he emptied several ingredients from his storage ring, some were just regular herbs that help with focus and blood circulation, while the rest of the ingredients included some pieces of metal and beast parts.
With this I can definitely make such a powerful potion without losing consciousness!
Several moments passed when an extremely powerful scent that caused ones mind to push beyond it's limits wafted out of the library.
Some nearby chickens that were digging away at the grass squacked in fear as they felt a buzzing in their minds. Looking around them a bright flash was noticeable in their eyes as the looked at each other with a human-like questioning gaze.
"Come on little chickens~ It's time for dinner and some of you look nice and fat!"
Squack!
The scent that wafted out of the library quickly faded as Will drank the potion he made, his body shook several times as his eyes started to glow from the increase in his mental power.
Digging into the next row, Will could hear a faint screaming which he quickly threw to the back of his head.
"Stop! I beg of you! Show mercy!"
Screaming while being chased by a bunch of chickens a fatty was panting with snot dripping from his nose as he looked at the chickens in fear.
You might wonder how anyone living in a sect could be chased by chickens without fighting back? It was mentioned before that the sect also has a city of it's own behind it's walls, so there are normal people, or people that haven't been able to make much progress in their cultivation.
This fatty is just a normal person.
The fatty that was previously eyeballing a couple fat chickens with saliva pouting out of his mouth is now being chased by those very chickens and their families.
Even more frightening were the several chickens brandishing knives and other small items that can be used as weapons in their beaks.
In their eyes a mocking light could be seen as if they were telling the fatty "You think we look nice and fat!? You seem like a five star meal all on you own!"
Some onlookers who usually come up and grab some chickens when necessary weren't left out, as soon as the group of chickens noticed the individuals a handful of weapon wielding chickens split from the group and started to pursue them as well.
Screams of fear and extremely sincere apologies towards the chickens could be heard in all directions as the weapon wielding chickens locked onto their targets and took action.
With chaos happening in all directions the fatty was pursued up a hill and up a tree as he shook in fear, looking at the chickens failing to get up the tree the fatty laughed and mocked the chickens between pants.
"You damn!…..Chickens....Fucking…..Flightless!…. Can't even…..get…..up….tree!"
The chickens feathers ruffled when they heard that and glared at the fatty with a very human-like mocking expression as they started to jump onto each other's backs.
Realizing what was happening the fatty's face paled until he looked like a ghost, he turned in preparation to jump from the tree only to find a drop into a deep abyss behind him.
"Noooo!!!"
The chickens let out clucks that sounded like laughter as they started to reach the branch the fatty was on.
