Stepping further into the dark cave, Will started to feel a frightening presence coming from the depths of the cave.
He stepped back feeling startled, but was stopped by a strange force.
As chills crawled up his spine, he continued to move forward.
"This is d*mn terrifying"
Walking deeper into the cave, he had a feeling that he will soon recover his ingredients.
Almost an hour of continuous walking and listening to the echo of his footsteps he saw a little flicker of light.
Walking closer, a feeling of excitement spread through his body as the light started to get brighter and brighter.
He could see his ingredients neatly placed on a small table next to a small flickering flame suspended in the air.
Stopping, he looked around and spotted a single stone bed, drying herbs hanging from the ceiling, and a small shelf with three books on it.
Seeing the room, he noticed a small passageway in the corner of the room, slight noises were coming from within.
Taking all this in, Will realized something, 'I had to have been brought into the cave, I must have woke up when I was brought into the cave, the breeze that rustled my hair could have been from the air currents produced when whoever brought me here returned to the depths of the cave'
Walking to the small table, Will cautiously grabbed his items after checking to see if there was anything amiss.
Looking at the passageway he couldn't help but think curiously, 'Why didn't whoever brought me to the cave kill me? Could it be that whoever brought me to the cave is unable to sense mana? Therefore not knowing that I am everyone's enemy?'
Shaking his head he smiled as he changed his thoughts.
It was time to leave the cave!
He needed to get stronger as soon as possible!
Turning around he started to leave, after taking only one step he realized he couldn't walk any further.
Starting to panic, the flame floating in the air flickered as a quiet and sweet voice, containing a hint of murderous intent spoke, "After helping you, you try to leave without thanking me?"
His body coated in cold sweat, Will's heart felt as if it was going to stop beating.
He couldn't move!
He couldn't even speak!
In this situation, he knew he would be easily killed by whoever was behind him, they could freeze him after all!
Who is it anyways!?
As if knowing what he was thinking, his body was turned around by an unseen force, standing next to the small table was a girl at about twelve years of age, silver hair falling past her shoulders, pitch black robes, and scarlet red eyes.
'Defeated by a child again!?'
Looking at his frightened appearance, a look of disgust appeared on her face as she observed him.
After walking around him and poking at his body, she nodded as her look of disgust vanished.
"So it seems you are rejected, coming from a different world, no wonder you are so easily frightened"
Sitting on the stone bed she rested her elbows on her knees as she supported her chin.
"If you don't know what 'rejected' means, it's simply rejection by the heavens, and the world"
Observing his reactions, the girl seemed to notice that he already figured it out, or had an idea.
After sitting on the bed and staring at him for almost an hour, she stood up and stood right in front of him, her nose touching his nose as she looked into his eyes, almost as if she was trying to peer into his soul.
"You may be wondering why I didn't kill you, it's simple!"
Will was in a confused and in a frightened state.
He can't move!
Only a masochist would enjoy having their movements restricted!
A masochist he is not, he is a healthy young man who wants to dominate and conquer!
Why would he like being restrained!
As she spoke her first sentence, Will calmed down as he smelled the sweet smell of her breath.
'How can someones breath smell so sweet!?'
Moving away from his face, she smiled as she finished what she was saying.
"I'm a demon cultivator!"
