Chapter 5 Miserable Training

Chapter 5 Miserable Training Before the training course began, the classroom was crammed with the teacher’s fans. Only a few of them were students like Yue, and some of them had already put on their training outfits and shoes. Yue stayed in a far away and quiet corner, absent-minded, where sometimes she would take a look at the door to see if the teacher had come, only to find some boys staring at her, talking about her. But she had no interest in this at all. Meanwhile, the girls of her class who had begged her to bring them here were hanging outside the window to look into the room to spot the teacher. When the girl who was bewitched by the teacher found Yue, she waved her hand to ask her to step out. Now Yue realized that she had been so eager to talk with Lin that she totally forgot the two existed. With a sense of guilt, she went out to them. But she was not prepares to be blamed by the two immediately upon their meeting. “Yue, why did you go away without saying anything to us?” the teacher’s fan complained with a cold face. The other one helped her friend pour oil on the flames, saying, “How can you do this? You promised us.” “Eh. . . I am terribly sorry.” Yue was wondering how best to answer them, when suddenly a strange hand rested on her shoulder. Yue was stunned by this unexpected touch and did not know how to react, but a familiar voice aroused all her bad memories. “Little Yue, why aren’t you in the classroom? It’s time for the dance lesson.” It was her good neighbor. In that moment, the two girls were also stunned, though for a different reason. Their eyes were full of admiration and enviousness. Yue could not understand their feelings; she was only be bothered by the one behind her who seemed to be glued to her like a shadow. “You know each other?” The fan became even angrier. “Now I understand why you wouldn’t take us here. You two already knew each other.” “No, you’ve got it all wrong. . . ” Yue tried to explain, but she saw her classmate’s eyes were full of tears. The other one was trying to comfort her. Now Yue realized that she could do nothing to quell their disappointment. “Do you know who he is?” the girl asked Yue, while looking at her and the boy behind her. Yue became more confused. She turned back to take a look at Shao Xun, only to find the troublemaker smiling innocently like sunshine in the morning. “Forget all this. It was my fault to trust you and make that stupid request.” The girl held her friend’s hand to leave. Yue tried to explain but was stopped by the teacher when he said, “Yue, the class is more important! The whole class is waiting for us.” “Who are you, indeed?” Yue stared at the innocent but handsome face; she would not accept that he was the teacher they were mooning after. “My name is Shao Xun.” He smiled a familiar teasing smile that lacked the manner of a teacher. Yue started to regret signing up for this training. Did this bastard have enough skills to help her pass the exam? “Let’s go, little Yue. The class is waiting for us.” He took her hand, and she felt a different feeling from this touch. She shook off his hand and lowered her head. At first he was stunned, then smiled with understanding. “What are you hesitating for? Oh . . . you want me to hold you like I did on the roof?” What? She’d already forgot this guy’s mind was full of nothing but weird thoughts. With a fierce look aimed at him, she hurried up to merge herself into the audience. How dare he mention his rude manner on the roof! She had never been intruded upon by anyone like that before. For her mother’s sake, she would have to tolerate him for now. Shao Xun was still staring at her back, with a crafty smile on his lips. The lesson started from his self-introduction while Yue was standing among the students, thinking about how to avoid his harassment for a whole semester. “Yue Xiyuansi. . . ” He called the students’ names, and stopped here on hers, because she did not answer. ”Yue Xiyuansi,” he called again with a louder voice. Yue suddenly came to her mind and found all the students were staring at her. Her face immediately turned red because of the awkward situation. Shao Xun was also surprised, since he never knew that she was such a shy girl, and her red face was so attractive to him, if she could simply give him a smile. He went over to her and gently patted her forehead with the class list book. “Yue Xiyuansi, don’t be absent-minded any more in my class.” Suddenly, her face turned pale, for the classmates were disturbed by his intimate action. She was irritated by his misdemeanor and glared at him with hatred. She did not want the class to make guesses about their relationship and start rumors or anything. If the elder brother heard this, how could she face him in the future? Shao Xun did not expect she would gave him such a look. “Yue Xiyuansi, stay here after class. All the others can leave.” How could she describe this even more embarrassing situation he’d dragged her into? The more she wanted to show the classmates that they had no special relationship, the more he did to prove the opposite. For the rest of the lesson, she was a total mess at the thought of having to stay after class, and made several mistakes as a result. And of course, he had to chide her for that as well. Finally, the class ended on her stupid fall on an easy dance step, and he came quickly to support her before she hit the ground. “Yue, could you pay more attention to the lesson? You’re already enrolled in the training course, so you should study hard.” His handsome face was screwed up with rage. “From today on, you should stay an extra half hour after class. I’ll spend more time on you. Otherwise, you won’t pass the dance school exam.”
