The sky darkened. The grass wavered but the black robed figures stood motionless. The group of 100 plus agents stopped moving. The walkie-talkies crackled with reports from the scouts posted at both the front and rear of the group. Leaders like Gu Jun used their binoculars to look around. Without them realizing it, black-robed figures had materialized next to the wilted trees on the plain. These figures blocked all directions, including the shoreline where they came from. The wind howled. The low clouds suppressed the life on the plains. ‘Is that the sound of wind or thunder?’ A blurry voice echoed around them.
