Captain Sheng knocked off the golden-haired guy’s hand, stood up, and fixed his uniform. He did not have any sympathy for the golden-haired guy. Such people should be punished because they broke society’s law and order. They deserved to be beaten to death. However, as law enforcement, he had to follow the rules.

The golden-haired guy was loud. The crowd laughed out loud after hearing his words.

"This idiot is stupid, right? He was obviously being beaten by a man, yet he said he was beaten by a cat and he seemed to be proud of it…"

"That’s right. Such garbage should be beaten up and imprisoned for a lifetime. They are purely plagues!"

Captain Sheng walked over and asked, "Have you seen things through?"

Several young men nodded, "We have not only seen, but also recorded." Aunt Li’s husband also nodded.

"Oh, really? Could you show me?" Captain Sheng asked.

One of the young people handed their phone over.

The video was short. Captain Sheng finished it quickly.

From the video, two points were clear. First, these people well deserved to be beaten up. Second, the owner was trying to defend himself.

The only thing was… what happened when the lights were out? No one knew.

Uncle Li coughed,"Mr. Policeman, I was the one that reported the case."

Captain Sheng returned the phone and went up to Uncle Li, saying, "Then please talk about it."

Uncle Li went through the whole story, from the morning a few days ago when the seven Rainbow Fighters showed up for money, to tonight’s incident.

Uncle Li's voice was loud. A few young people next to him could hear clearly. Their admiration towards the owner went up even higher. It took patience to get the big shark. The owner pretended he was weak and then he KO’d the whole group. What a master!

Sheng calmly listened and asked, "So you don’t know what happened after the lights went out, correct?"

Uncle Li laughed, "What else could’ve happened? The young master beat them up and threw them out!"

A few young men agreed.

Wang Qian and Li Kun both tightly closed their mouths. They knew that the protagonists in novels always maintained a low profile so they could surprise people later on. Also, they wished not to talk to people who worked in the government.

Captain Sheng looked back at Zhang Zian. Could this young kid really be that outstanding at martial arts?

But... the golden-haired guy confirmed it was a cat.

Captain Sheng was puzzled until a young policeman responsible for technical stuff ran over and whispered into his ear, "Drug and alcohol residue was detected in their bodies; the concentration is high."

Captain Sheng nodded, indicating that he understood.

Everything was self-explanatory now.

These people consumed drugs and alcohol before they came. Drugs and alcohol led to their visual and auditory hallucinations. They robbed a pet shop in the dark. Listening to the cat in the dark as they were beaten up created the strange illusion.

On one hand, he had confessions from a suspect whose body contained high concentrations of drug and alcohol residue and was also likely to have a criminal record. On the other hand, he had witnesses from a group of sober people. It didn’t take much to judge which was more trustworthy.

Captain Sheng was a firm believer in materialism. He did not believe a word about the evil cat. Frankly, if he dared to report it to his boss, he might get demoted immediately…

He told the team, "Take the suspects back to the police station. When they wake up, conduct a mental evaluation. Don’t waste time if they are retards…"

"Yes, sir." The young policeman took the order.

Captain Sheng had decided what he was going to do, so he wandered back to Zhang Zian.

"How should I address you, sir?" He asked politely.

"My name is Zhang Zian; I’m the owner of this pet shop," Zhang Zian replied. He was uneasy because he wasn’t sure how bad the seven Rainbow Fighters got hurt and if he could get in trouble.

"Mr. Zhang, have you practiced martial arts, boxing or free fighting?" Captain Sheng asked with great interest.

"Hmm..." Zhang Zian didn’t know what to say.

Obviously, he had to say something; otherwise he could put himself in trouble.

He said hesitantly, "Well... I’ve learned some basic Wing Chun Kung Fu..."

With that being said, the young guys were immediately happily surprised.

"Sh*t! Master is a Wing Chun expert!"

"Wing Chun! This will make big money!"

"Don’t stop me! I have to learn from him!"

Wang Qian and Li Kun laughed, "Wing Chun Kung Fu is only a basic means of self-defense for Master. You guys have never seen the real fairy magic!"

Captain Sheng was also very surprised, "Wing Chun?"

Zhang Zian bit the bullet and said, "Yup. Learned a bit from the family."

Captain Sheng didn’t believe him. If he only learned a bit of martial arts, he would not be able to beat up seven criminals with weapons in such a short span. And in a dark room? Even a well-trained special policeman could not do it.

He felt that Zhang Zian wanted to keep a low profile on purpose, otherwise he would be known by many people. Since it was family martial arts, he was certainly not willing to let outsiders know about it. Captain Sheng read his mind from his hesitation of speaking up. He only felt pity that such a martial arts master hadn’t opened a school to carry forward the fascinating Kung Fu spirit.

This was none of his business and he could not change anything.

He walked around the shop, looking at Fina, Old Time Tea, and then at the kittens and puppies. Finally, his eyes fell on the top of the cashier where the smashed surveillance camera was located.

"Mr. Zhang, we need to borrow the memory drive of the surveillance monitor. We will return it when we are done."

Zhang Zian ran up to the second floor, removed the monitoring system’s hard drive, and gave it to the captain.

The surveillance camera only covered the cashier area and the entrance. Giving it to the police didn’t matter.

"Sir, my case should be a legitimate act of self-defense, right?" he asked carefully.

Captain Sheng thought it should be, but he didn’t dare make a statement, so he said, "We will go back and check the injuries on the suspects. According to my experience, you do not have to worry too much."

Zhang Zian was relieved. "That's great."

"You have to pay attention next time. Those people were injured quite badly," Captain Sheng reminded him with a friendly tone and then laughed, "I guess you don’t have to worry about it. I am sure tonight will make you famous. I don’t think anyone will dare to provoke you."

He looked around as he said this. As the signal shielding device turned off and cell phones resumed signal reception, many young people were taking pictures or videos, and then uploaded them to a variety of social medias.

Zhang Zian was helpless. He wanted to keep a low-profile...

Uncle Li cheerfully ran back to Aunt Li.

"How is it?" Aunt Li asked eagerly.

"It is Wing Chun Kung Fu! The young man is just like Ye Wen. He is a great master of Wing Chun!"

Aunt Li was stunned, "He seems to be too young to be a master."

"He has the legendary martial arts talent!" Uncle Li couldn’t stop praising.

Aunt Li pulled at his shirt and whispered, "We shouldn’t charge him in the future when he comes for breakfast!"

Uncle Li nodded, "I understand."

"You know nothing! We should maintain a good relationship with him and in the future, our son can learn Kung Fu from him and get a girlfriend."
