Xue Yu Chan was depressed. Very depressed.
She grew up being the strongest Heaven's Favorite of her kind and had always been highly respected. She was raised spoiled like a Princess all because of her imposing natural talent. Other than her insane capabilities that allowed her to look down on Yunzhou, her array knowledge was extremely powerful.
In the entire Yunzhou, there are basically nobody her own generation who can compare to her. Even the array masters of the older generation find it hard to compete against her.
Thus, she grew up insanely confident.
Yet before her eyes, Ling Xian appeared. He waved around his hand casually and solved an array that took her an entire hour to deal with. How could she not feel the impact of this?

The reason why he chose to get away from Xue Yu Chan was because he was studying the arrays inside the Imperishable Temple as a whole. He planned on getting all the treasures in the Temple in one go. Sadly, despite his good thoughts, he was very far away from actually breaking the array.
Yet at this time, Xue Yu Chan was unforgiving towards him and behaved as if she won't give up until she achieved what she wanted to. Even though it always took a long time for her to show up before him again, so much repetition was troublesome. Anyone would feel a headache over this.
It wasn't a good time to attack. But if he didn't, he had to endure Xue Yu Chan's constant pursuing. How could Ling Xian not feel depressed?
However, he was very focused on breaking the array of the Temple right now and was far too lazy to deal with Xue Yu Chan. Therefore, every time this woman showed up into the room he was in, he would slap around his sleeve and leave.

An angry, green-faced woman who was attempting to break the arrays crazily. The result she got in exchange was deliria again and again.
A handsome young man who was working on breaking the array inside his mind. Every time that woman stepped into his space, he would flap around his sleeve and disappear immediately.
He stepped away from the unlimited anger and the endless blame.
Just like that, a very long time passed, yet Xue Yu Chan was still pursuing after him. She was full of determination. However, as time went on, she couldn't help but to admire the man despite her unwillingness to accept it.
After all, those who are capable are respected by others. This alone however, was not enough to stop Xue Yu Chan. Therefore, she continued to puruse after Ling Xian.
But Ling Xian was getting impatient.
Every though he was able to enjoy his leisure time every single time and the only price he had to pay was a flap of his sleeve, the feeling of getting pursued was not a great one. On top of that, after a long time, he was tired of this game.
Therefore, after he arrived to this new room, he didn't escape but merely waited for her arrival.
"Oh well, it won't take long and I still have no idea how to break the array. Let me solve this one problem first then."
Sighing, Ling Xian leaned against the gold wall and closed his eyes. He waited for Xue Yu Chan's silhouette.
After half an hour, the wall he was facing against suddenly quaked and the color gold rippled.
The familiar silhouette wearing white appeared within his vision.
"Good, this time, you only took half an hour, you are improving."
Ling Xian smiled lightly, against the green faced beauty, he grinned, "Don't look at me like you want to kill me. I think you should thank me. If you didn't have to chase after me, you wouldn't have taken only half an hour to get to where I am."
"Hmmph, based on what you are saying, I really should be thanking you." Xue Yu Chan hissed and stared deadly at Ling Xian, almost spewing out fire.
"That won't be necessary."
Smiling, Ling Xian ignored her infuriated gaze, "I just need you to agree to stop chasing after me."
"In your dreams!" Xue Yu Chan shouted.
"Why are you doing this? You are a Heaven's Favorite, why won't you quit chasing after me? Aren't you afraid that if this news gets out, your reputation will be ruined?" Ling Xian teased.
"You!"
Xue Yu Chan raised an eyebrow as her killer's intent seeped out and dropped the room temperature to below 0.
"Hey now, ask yourself, did I provoke you?" Ling Xian smiled helplessly, "I merely broke the array instantaneously, did that hurt your reputation?"
"I…."
Xue Yu Chan had no words to argue with.
Because Ling Xian was right. He didn't provoke her. He merely revealed his abilities with ancient arrays and this alone made her feel embarrassed.
To put it bluntly, this entire situation was unrelated to him. She was simply being irrational and unwilling to accept that someone was so much better than her. Now that Ling Xian had said it straight out, Xue Yu Chan had nothing to argue against.
"Speechless, are you."
Ling Xian beamed and paid respect to Xue Yu Chan, "Rather than killing and fighting, why don't we sit down and converse a little? What do you say?"
Xue Yue Chan was exasperated and wanted to slap Ling Xian away.
Putting aside the matter with arrays, the fact that their identities made them enemies meant they cannot be sitting together and chatting.
To not be attacking was already kind on her part, yet he wanted to sit and chat? He was dreaming!
Seeing this, Ling Xian smiled helplessly didn't extend his invite for a second time.
He knew very well that he and Xue Yu Chan could not be friends, especially inside the Imperishable Temple. They had no choice but to fight and there were no other possibilities. The reason why he didn't want to fight this woman was because while they were outside, he realized that the woman had no intention of killing the humankind.
Therefore, Ling Xian wanted to try and convince Xue Yu Chan to not fight against the humankind. After all, compared to the foreign kinds, humankinds' capabilities were far too weak and would be no opponents of their.
Pity though, Xue Yu Chan's expression told him that this will be an impossible feat.
Sighing, Ling Xian spoke softly, "Oh well, if you want to fight, then I will accompany you."
"Hmmph, I pursued your nearly three days. I want to try and see if your capabilities are as dominating as your array abilities." Xue Yu Chan had a cold smile on her confident face.
It was apparently that she was very confident about her abilities and believed that she could defeat Ling Xian.
This was normal, every kind's strongest Heaven's Favorites had the undefeatable mentality and everyone was very confident. They all believed they could win against others and defeat all enemies!
"I will not disappoint you."
Ling Xian's expression turned emotionless and his entire aura changed. If his normal self was described as friendly and approachable, then before a battle, he could be described as a sharp sword with a blade that will exterminate the nine continents once unsheathed!
Without a doubt, right now, he was similar to the unmatchable heavenly sword that can tear open the sky!
"It is no wonder that you didn't run away this time…"
Sensing the lava like Qi, Xue Yu Chan raised an eyebrow and did not show a trace of fear. Instead, her expression was a heated one.
"The reason why I chose to get away from you at first wasn't because I was afraid, it was because I didn't want to fight you." Ling Xian remained emotionless, "But now, I am tired of your game. So I will strip away your ability to continue pursuing me."
Then, in a flash, he appeared before Xue Yu Chan and punched out!

Ling Xian didn't use the Disorder Conquering Fists with this punch, he merely used his physique. Its power however, was aggressive and shocking!
"You don't have a bad physique. But not bad is just not bad."
Xue Yu Chan's expression was calm and she wasn't startled at all. She was one of the very best with great capabilities. Even amongst all the living beings inside the Temple, she was one of the strongest!
Thus, she wasn't flustered. She merely extended her soft hand in a manner that was calm but violent!

The two clashed, creating a giant wave that washed over all directions!
Luckily, this was the Imperishable Temple and most of the power was naturally absorbed. If that wasn't the case, then the attack just now would've broken down the entire room!
"No matter you are one of the strongest here. Even your physique is powerful!"
Ling Xian's lips curled up and his eyes exploded with battling passion. He hadn't exercised in a long while and had a high desire for a rumbling battle!
"Die!"
After a loud scream, Ling Xian's entire body exploded with power. His two fists thrust out like dragons and headed for Xue Yu Chan!
Xue Yu Chan was not fazed as her soft hands moved in midair. Immediately, terrifying Qi howled out and resolved Ling Xian's prowess.
Then, a field of shiny snowflakes emerged and filled the entire air. In an instant, the entire area's temperature fell below freezing point, causing everyone pai.
"This is… snow?"
Ling Xian frowned and had a guess. Right now however, the flakes of snow had transformed into blades and were heading towards him. They didn't give him a single second to think.
Whooosh!
The snow danced all around the area and descended down slowly Then, every single snowflake transformed into a sharp blade that was aiming at Ling Xian. Along the way, coldness was emitted and the entire area was sealed by ice.
Seeing this, Ling Xian sighed helplessly. His eyes flickered and the Halberd of the Divine Warrior broke through and sliced across the sky!
"Die!"
After a shout, Ling Xian, like an undefeatable god of warrior, swept across his Halberd against the field of snow!
One side was soft, the other was stiff, one said was gentle, the other was tough, the two sides clashed, creating a horrifying amount of heavenly power!
Just as Ling Xian was about to begin his battle, the room suddenly shook and a cold looking man wearing gold appeared.
The moment he saw Ling Xian, his eyes brimmed with killer's intent. Then, he formed a hand seal and called out to a gold sword. The gold sword sliced across the sky and aimed at Ling Xian!
The immensely cold killer's intent caused all of Ling Xian's hair to stand on their ends!
