After finally cutting down the Cyclops's head, I sat down on the ground exhausted.
I went all out until the fight was finally over.
“But, he was really powerful. There is no doubt that if I didn’t attack it’s vitals without magic power at the same place repeatedly, I would have died. It possessed quite the amazing Endurance.”
Moreover, the first hit was a perfect hit without any warnings.
I expected I could take it down in a single strike.
After a few minutes, my heart finally calmed down.
“Alright, let’s place the Cyclops corpse in my Item Box for now.”
And thereafter, I placed the Cyclops head, and the rest of the body into my Item Box.
I'll do something about this guy after I get back to the guild.
Maybe it's worth quite a large fortune if I sell it.
The hands could probably be used to make a sturdy shield.
I can't continue to use an Orc king everytime I need a shield, now can I.
“Ouuu, then lets sell this guy.”
As expected, no matter how much money you have, it won't be enough for everything.
Hmm, I guess it won't be a problem to get Sari something as a gift along the way.
She was quite worried about my well being, what a nice girl she is.
At first I only thought of her as an acquaintance of Ms. Mary, but lately, I have the feeling of wanting to keep her safe, maybe I am starting to like Sari although our ages are a little bit off, I guess it's fine since it's another world. Lets quickly head back to Forxx.
After that, I can have some leisure time to think about such things.
And then, I got up from my spot, and started to walk toward the exit of the forest.
I was able to reach the exit without even encountering a single monster.
“Ok, I was able to reach here safely.”
Then, let's quickly return home!
My level must have also increased after killing the Cyclops.
I'm a little curious on how much I might have gained.
“Let's go!!!”
And then, I moved at full speed.
When,
“Ouu! Wh-what is this, I seem to be even faster than when I came here! Just how many levels have I gained from this trip!?”
The scenery around me changed into a blur, while I was screaming like an fool.
Ha ha, what agility. The breeze feels so good!
And in just a few minutes, I was able to safely arrive at Forxx.
It was truly an amazing feeling.
After spotting me while being a little surprised, the usual gatekeeper came running while calling out to me.
“Yu-Yuma-sam, have you been injured or hurt? Were you able to kill the Cyclops without any problems?”
“Yes, the Cyclops has been killed without any problems. Although, I was attacked once and suffered a bit. It's fine though because I used recovery magic to heal myself.”
When I told the gatekeeper that I was able to safely take down the Cyclops, he had a huge smile on his face, and when I told him I was knocked back, he made a strange face.
“Imp-Impossible, I have heard that a single strike from a Cyclops can uproot trees and cause craters in mountains. To have been able to take a full strike, and still be alive. Yu-Yuma-san, you seem to have quite the strong body……..”
It seems that the gatekeeper-san is glorifying the last part a little bit; well, it's alright, I don't mind.
“Ok, I still need to go to the guild, let's talk again next time.”
And so, I lightly waved my hand toward the gatekeeper-san who waved back as well, while I entered the city.
The city seems to be a lot noisier than usual.
Well, they did hear the news about a Great Invasion that might happen anytime soon. It would be weird if there wasn't any noise.
No matter, let's quickly go to the guild.
And so, I walked toward the guild.
In a few minutes, I was in front of the guild, so I opened the doors and went inside.
The guild seemed to be quite lively, but the moment I entered, it turned totally quiet. While I was wondering why, I walked to where Meru-san was.
And,
“I'm back, Meru-san. I was able to safely subjugate the Cyclops, I will now show you my proof.”
And then, I took out the giant head of the Cyclops, and placed it down.
Suddenly, the entire guild erupted in noise,
“““““uoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!”””””
Cheers filled the entire guild hall.
“Amazing! Did you really take down the Cyclops!?”
“I can’t believe my eyes! Nicely done Head hunter!”
“The, then does this mean that there won’t be a great invasion!?”
“Ahh, there is no doubt about it! All the Rare Class monster have been subjugated, so they are no more!”
And for some reason, even Meru-san was quite excited,
“That was amazing, Yuma-kun! Truly amazing, amazing, absolutely amazing!”
Meru-san seems to be quite excited, while she continued to say amazing again and again.
“Well, this time it was quite hard to take it down. I was even hit quite the distance away. But, it's fine since I was able to still come back safely.”
When I said that, Meru-san instantly became surprised and turned completely quiet.
I was even able to see tears falling from the corner of her eyes,
“Yuma-kun, probably only Yuma-kun was possibly the only person who could say that unrestrained, but still, on behalf of all the people in Forxx, as well as the city, thank you very much!”
Meru-san wiped her tears away and said that to me, with a beaming smile.
This is bad, is it wrong to ask for a small kiss? She won't mind about a small one, right?
Since she already said amazing and thank you very much so many time, I feel very embarrassed to ask for anything more!
It even feels a little troublesome,
“Aniki! You seemed to have returned safely.”
Saying so, Marubuta came closer to where i was.
Aa, good timing Marubuta-kun, I still had to thank you for that time.
“Ahh, if it isn't Marubuta-kun! You seem to be doing quite fine, thats nice!
When I said that Marubuta-kun, he seemed to be quite surprised,
“Aaaah? You seem to be a lot friendlier today Aniki. I’m fine as long as you're fine, alright?”
My favorability rating towards Marubuta-kun seems to have risen jua little.Just a little.
“Alright! I'm quite exhausted today Marubuta-kun i'll be leaving now, i'm going to go back home. See you Meru-san. And for worrying about me so much today. Thank you very much.”
When i said so,
“Alright. Go have a good rest today. Can you come over tomorrow so that the guild master can have word with you?”
“is it not possible today?”
“Today we are going to have discuss Preventive measures by meeting with the City Lord, as well as the principal of the Magic School. Well, I guess it's not required anymore.”
“Is that so, I guess it can't be helped. I shall come back to the guild tomorrow then. Please excuse me, I will take my leave now.
And then, I walked toward the exit.
From behind me,
“Aniki! Make sure to have a good rest !”
I heard the voice of Marubuta, to which I waved my hand gently in response.
And then, I left the guild.
“Ah, I forgot to sell the corpse of the monster to the guild. Hm, lets just do it tomorrow.”
While thinking so, I walked toward Zinnia.
Haa, I can finally return home. My feet continued to grow lighter as I was thinking such thoughts.
It's almost time for dinner, so I guess this is fine.
And in a few minutes, I was in front of Zinnia, and just as I was about to open the doors….,
“Ooooo, Yuma, you seem to have safely returned! Then, I guess the Cyclops has been taken care off!?”
The first voice I heard seems to be from Iguru,
“Aa, yes, I was able to safely take it down.”
“Ah!! As expected of Yuma-ze! Well, I had complete faith in you.”
And just after that,
“Aa, Yuma, you have returned. Now, let’s go quickly, so I can go make dinner! We can't keep the cities benefactor waiting for too long.”
Is what Saria-san says after she spots me and moves me to the kitchen to make dinner.
And lastly, Sari comes out and walks over to where I am,
“Yuma-san….”
Sari comes out to welcome me with a smile that glowed as if it was the sun itself.
Aa, as I thought, there is nothing better than Sari’s smile.
‘Yuma-san, I am truly happy that you have returned safely. And so,”
And so, Sari extends one of her hands to me,
“Welcome home, Yuma-san”
I caught the hand of Sari,
“Aa, i'm home, Sari”
And then, I went into Zinnia along with Sari, while thinking about what tonight's dinner will be like….
